**Headphone Warning**

This has been my favorite episode so far for the High School caste audio drama -- we sure are spending a lot of time with our "bad boy," King Jean, and  Eren is as cryptic as ever, but hilariously so! And that TWIST in this AU was CRAZY! Isayamaaaaaa!   

Add that with Erwin being deliciously antagonistic and Armin tugging the emotional heartstrings already, and we have a pretty great episode in this alternate universe! Things are really in gear this episode!

"Okay, I'll die with you too, Mom. So please don't quit being my mom!" That line sort of flipped my perceptions on their head when I noticed it this watchthrough. Now when I see the elevator scene, all I can think about is how real and frightening the possibility of "being asked to die by a parental figure" is for Asuka. I actually can't blame her for seeing red (ha) when Rei declares she'd die for Gendo.

Oooohhh, that's SUCH a good point -- like Asuka questioning how easily Rei can say she'd die for Gendo, when she is struggling with that same issue and her own mom! @_@ Good point to bring up!
