**FANGIRLING FOR CHRIS HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

I was NOT ready for the reunion with Chris and some of our third years in this volume. I'm so glad y'all didn't spoil me, because I fangirl A LOT in this!! I LIVE for Chris and Sawamura's relationship, but add KOSHU to the mix? It's too much! But this volume has so much going on in it! 

Ichidai Third and Inashiro are in the Semifinal and all eyes are on Seidou to see if they'll join them! Sawamura showing himself as a true ace, even off the mound, and Sousei proving to be QUITE the interesting opponent, despite what I originally thought they'd be! This battle is turning out to be quite intriguing!

Should Chris and Koshu meet (if they don’t I’m going to be crushed), I’m absolutely convinced that Koshu views Chris as a Sawamura whisperer, and will threaten Sawamura with calling Chris when Sawamura isn’t behaving. Like a “I’m calling your mother” kind of thing.

You're so right -- I would love if Koshu embodied Chris's stern teacherly aura (moreso than he already can at this point) and used it on Sawamura! That'd be hilarious! Thanks for the comment!

The funniest thing to me is that the Ichidai coach literally doesn't move lmao. He's in a constant state of holding a pretend gun or doing a thumbs up 🤣 the best advice he can give apparently lol Man I know there wasn't a chance Sensen was gonna win but there goes Maki now. His last summer over. We won't see him again 🥲 I love seeing Sawamura thinking up strategies. We never get to see it and you can tell by the way Nabe and Koushu are taken so off guard. It's nice to know that he's been paying attention with Miyukis lessons and as a pitcher he's growing some independence. He used to rely solely on Miyuki for all of those plans and decisions and now he's thinking it up himself. I love it 🥰 Also, when Sousei was mentioning Furuya, Amahisa and Narumuya they weren't actually numbering them in order of who is better than who. They were just listing the pitchers they'd have to face in order. Seidou for the quarterfinals, then Ichidai for the semifinals, then Inashiro for the finals. It's very sweet how Eijun talks about Chris as being his "lifesaver". I think we knew that's how he considered him even back in season 1 but him openly admitting that to Koushu is so cute. You looked almost about to tear up seeing Chris lol. Seeing the 3rd years is so nostalgic and it's even better that they all look SO PROUD OF THEM. I can't get over how adorably proud they all are. Furuyas just gonna have to deal with "bazooka" lol. Sawamura said it so it's gonna spread It's funny cuz although I agree that the Sousei coach is a bit odd, he's still so sweet and genuine. He clearly wants his boys to enjoy the game the most even though he obviously would also like them to win. Sawamuras digs from the dugout is one of my favourite things about this game to be honest lol. Hes just so rough and harsh in his efforts to motivate the team 🤣 he reminds me of how blunt Amahisa is with his team and they all get mad at him over it lol. Who would've thought Miyuki would be so offended by a player not going out of his way to greet him since they were both on the all star team together lol what an emotional guy Chris really has softened so much in regards to Sawamura. Thinking of how harsh he used to be with him in the beginning to how he talks about him like he's his damn son now is just so sweet. I love their dynamic and their development as a pair We never really see Miyuki this confused but I don't actually think it's affecting his game calling. They're getting the outs pretty easily its just not how Miyuki is used to playing lol Masashi did not do the Seki special justice since he hit a straight fastball and not the 2 seamer like Seki was trying to give him practice for. What a silly guy lol but I'll always applaud a homerun especially when his helmet stays on straight. Very excited for the next few weeks of reactions 😛😛

Hahahaha, he knows the move that works and will spam the crud out of it! XD #RESPECT And man, Maki gets no respect in this series. A true “side character,” sadly. I love our boy Sawamura thinking and coming up with a “plan,” and I love how surprised Nabe and Koshu are – they better relay this information to the CAP, that’s all I can say! Oohhh, that makes sense with how Sousei was organizing and putting the pitchers in order…gotcha! That makes more sense, haha! Sawamura’s open and uninhibited love for Chris-senpai is just beyond precious. Koshu is going to show up at his PT sessions with a dang notebook at this point. I was really looking forward to Chris appearing at the quarterfinals and him showing up with the other graduated third years was NOT disappointing! I LOVE how proud they are! And yesss, he’s mellowed since Graduation and I think since he’s seen how responsible and mature Sawamura has become. I live for the panels of them together, now! Sawamura’s nicknames are more contagious than the common cold; Yui’s already caught on: you’re doomed, Bazooka. And yessss, Sawamura and Kosei DO have one thing in common: They can be unabashedly BLUNT and not afraid to speak the harsh truth, haha!! I do love the Sousei coach, though! He’s SO sweet and just wants his team to win and enjoy the game – he’s officially in my top 5 for coaches in this series! :) Man, Miyuki getting the Miwa treatment, eh? Well, maybe not completely, but Nara certainly wasn’t here for a reunion. I also like that Miyuki is GENUINELY shown a chess move he can’t quite figure out – all these high-tech coaches trying to out-strategize him and it’s a guy with his hands buried in his arm pits that does the trick. Hm. And was Masashi’s helmet on straight for the home run!? Good for our boy!! Hahaha, thanks so much for the comment but yesssss, so excited for what’s to come!
