**NOSTALGIC HEADPHONE WARNINGS ABOUND**

And so, we conclude Seiho vs. Seido (no surprises, just a new friend for Sawamura!), as Inashiro lays down the gauntlet for summer and our Top 20 for Seido are revealed! Of course, we still don't know who the ace is going to be...TJ is just teasing us at this point! ^^

We DO get a heaping haul of nostalgia in this set of episodes, though, as we go through another pre-summer tournament training camp (OH how the times have changed) and Sawamura gets some amazingly wholesome moments with our wolf boy Koshu as well as Furuya! I was SO happy to see them interact in this set of episodes...

...OH, and a blast from the not-so-distant past is here to test Kataoka right as we start the summer tournament?! I am so hyped!

Love these episodes lol. Originally I was gonna ask why the Inashiro guys were also on the train since they were at Inashiro already but I'm realizing now that the games against the Americans must've been at a different field and not the Inashiro field 🤣 ignore me What's with these blondies being dramatic about death in baseball lol. "I won't let you die alone" -Koushuu Okumura. "A fight to the death" -Mei Narumiya. Relax boys. Also, Sawamura being taken out at the end of the Seihou game wasn't from him throwing number 11, he had an 11 pitch dual with him. So threw 11 pitches and Seiya kept fouling them off and letting them pass until he actually hit and got on base. I still think it's impressive 🤣 especially since he seemingly got the 2 and 3 hole out without letting them on base. Just sucks the 3rd hitter to come up that inning was Seiya lol The fact that Sanada talking to Hirahata was astonished that they didn't win any of the games against the Americans while they had Mei and Miyuki on the team honestly shows how much Sanada respects them as players. I'm telling you, the only person in this series that talks about teams "not getting hurt" is Ochiai and he jinxes us every time. How many times does this dude have to say "let's hope no more injuries" before we realize he literally is summoning them singlehandedly lmao I love how easily Sawamura just invites himself into Miyuki and Koushuus room lol. Just comfortably walks in and walks out. It's also interesting to note how quickly Sawamura shakes off Miyuki telling him that the team said he did amazing against Seihou. He just refuses to take that compliment. The conversation between Furuya and Yui about becoming partners is so interesting. Yui seems to feel almost insulted by Furuya saying he'll throw it to where he can catch it. It's understandable though. Yui doesn't want Furuya to have to hold back or play safe when he's catching. He wants him to throw hard and fast and where he needs to without compromising. I'm glad Yui seems to take it as a challenge to improve instead of a real insult. Its kind of sad the way Koushu has no friends in his class lol. Like why isn't Kukki or Mogami or Kagami in his class. Asada and Seto are together and Yui and Masashi are together but Koushu is alone? Unfair. I love the scene of Takatsu practicing his fielding while thinking of Sawamura in the Seihou game. Seeing him actually inspire them to get better is just so nice. In saying that.... I'm sad Takatsu got cut. I wish he had made the 20 player lineup. Its so good seeing Ono in basically the exact same position Sawamura was in last year when he made the team. Unbelieving and feeling sad about the other players who didn't get a chance. It's sad but the parallel is so good. Seto is such a mom to Koushu lol. "Be greatful", "don't cause problems", "be polite" lol Koushus mom must love that they're friends. My poor wolf boy hates eating so much lol. Literally was praying that the snacks during the training camp would count towards dinner 😭 boys stomach is gonna combust some day. Also, all I'm gonna say is that Miyuki IMMEDIATELY mentioned that Sawamura doesn't like natto lol. Before anyone else he just threw that in. We get it Miyuki, you know your boyfriend. I kind of love the new first year trio of Masashi, Yui and Koushu lol. They aren't all really friends as I don't think Koushu really talks to Yui or Masashi but I hope that changes. They're quite cute all together. Its been so long since we've seen Sawamura make the relax face when pitching lol. I've missed it. I love that Koushu got to see it 🤣 From a boy that couldn't even throw 130 km/hr to almost throwing 140 km/hr 🥲 the GROWTH. I love it. I also find it hysterical that even the manager guy was like "maybe he'd like to hear that praise from you" and Miyukis like "nah lol" 🤣 Furuya and Sawamura learning the outfield from Asou and simultaneously embarrassing him is hilarious every time. Poor Asou wants praise but it embarrasses him too lol I'm horrified and offended that Miyuki removes the crust off of fried pork... THATS THE BEST PART YOU WALNUT 😤 My heart melted hearing Furuya ask about them all hanging out in someone's room together. He finally found his team and his home and I love it. I also just love that the people on his team (Sawamura and Miyuki) know him so well now that they know he's not being quiet because he's annoyed or doesn't want to be there, he just enjoys being there but not chatting and playing. Just being in their space spending time with them. Adorable. And Furuya liking errand running is so CUTE. The Taurus singalong of these episodes is amazing every time I see it. They're so cute. They clearly wanted to Amp up the roommate cuteness because last set of episodes you said you couldn't decide who your favourite roommates were between room 5 and Furuyas room 🤣 I love the times we get to see Miyuki and Kataoka bonding and talking. You can tell Miyuki really respects him a lot and it's just really sweet especially considering how heavy Miyuki went to keep Kataoka as the coach in season 2. The line "I've never been satisfied there" is so crazy when you think about the fact that he also went to Koshien as a player and was the runner up. Even back then he wasn't satisfied. He literally has to win koshien to be satisfied and that seems like the BIGGEST foreshadow to me 👀 The conversation of Yui saying the team doesn't need him as a catcher honestly seems like their first actual conversation lol. I dont think they've ever really talked before and it's interesting that now that they're both first string they start talking. Seiho is also in a different prefecture in Japan so the next time they'd see them or play them would be at Koshien. They won't see them in the summer tournament. Going back to the subject of using Sawamura to make Furuya better. It wasn't Kataokas plan to do that it was Ochiais observation of Kataokas actions. Because he was so biased toward Furuya at the time and he thought Sawamura was useless, Kataoka trying to help Sawamura get better seemed pointless to him and he said Kataoka was cruel for using Sawamura like that. It wasn't why Kataoka helped him, and clearly he knew they'd both help eachother get better but Ochiai was the one who said it was one sided like that. Ah toad Ochiai. I dont miss him. As always, very excited for next week 😊🎉

Hahahaha, no, that is a good question about Inashiro and it didn’t even hit me that it wouldn’t have made sense, otherwise! XD Mei and Narumiya – proving Daiya’s blondes all have “ride or die” dog energy. They need to chill, hahaha! Ahhh, that makes sense about Sawamura being taken out, now! You’re also so right; Sawamura storms in, gets his info, and storms out. Another contrast to Mei is how Sawamura shrugs off the compliment – Mei would have wanted to bask in it, but our sunshine boy is content; it’s just his “role,” right? ;) But yes, the growth on our boy! Damn, even the manager is trying to get Miyuki to compliment him…and Miyuki’s all, NAH, indeed. *facepalm* Oh wow, that is true that it shows how much Sanada respects those two. :3 My heart! Seriously, Ochiai needs to STOP talking about injuries. Just. Stop. >.< And that makes much more sense, your comment about him wondering why Kataoka was using Sawamura and that conversation – gotcha! Yeah, toad Ochiai is not my fave, either. I’m glad that Yui feels up to the challenge as well in catching for Furuya. I’m proud that Furuya’s learned what an asset Yui can be, too! We’ve come so far in one season! Koshu…our strange wolf boy…I am sad he seems a loner in the class. Maybe it’s the one time he can get to clear his mind and contemplate things when the other first years are around? Seto IS like a mom to him, too, so maybe that’s his one time away from that, too, hahahaha…though, seeing how his class’s impression of him is, maybe Seto should be there! :D I feel for him hating eating; it reminds me of Kenma and Tsukishima in HQ. I hope that Koshu gets closer to Yui and Masashi, too.We at least see him start to form that conversation with Yui in this! I think he could at least get closer to Yui, since they’re both catchers; they remind me of the Sawamura/Furuya rivalry, only less intense at each other, haha! And Koshu reacting to Sawamura’s “relaxed face” is one of the funniest things about him!! I am sad Hiroomi got cut, too, especially after he put in all that work this year. At least he’s only a second year. And Ono being in the same boat as Sawamura is such an odd statement, but you’re absolutely right. I feel Yui shares that sentiment as well. Bahahahaha, you’re so right – Miyuki wanted EVERYONE to know that Sawamura doesn’t like Natto. Pfft. But seriously, Miyuki’s tastes are….interesting. “You Walnut!” I need to use that insult more often, now! XD But yes, Miyuki seems to instantly connect with a lot of older characters, which isn’t surprising given his upbringing, but you can tell how much he respects Rei and Kataoka, especially. I agree, too, Kataoka’s line about winning Koshien is SUCH foreshadowing…but it’s TJ, so is he actually going to give it to us…or not? @_@ Seiho possibly getting a rematch with Seido or showing up at Koshien at least would be interesting… I’ve really come to love Aso in this series and I’m so glad he gets praise and is easily embarrassed by it! :3 Furuya, though, he seriously melted my heart with these episodes! I agree 100% with your paragraph about how he’s found his home and is content in his space being quiet; he doesn’t have to talk to be comfortable. <3 It’s SO SWEET! Okay, okay, okay…this set of episodes and the Taurus sing-a-long cemented my favorite room. But Furuya’s room is a close second! :) That singing was just TOO CUTE!
