**UNRAVELED HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

We finally meet "L" face to face and he is QUITE the eccentric character! Such a contrast to Light...but still so very similar! He also wants to adopt "another" persona, "Ryuzaki"...hmmmm...I'm so excited for what's to come with L in the future --

-- and also hoping there's more to come with "Shoto" in the future, too, as she's either become a pawn for Light, or she's luring him into a trap...but we don't know what's the truth, yet. Will "justice prevail," as L says? And if so, WHOSE Justice is prevailing? The episode is titled "Unraveling" and this may be the start of our sanity unraveling as well...

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

It is really annoying !! It is not the first time that happened in Patreon section comment. And when you write an essay / comment like I do, it’s infuriating to re write it all again 🤦🏽‍♀️😭😭

romaniablack

Oh no!!! :( I hate that patreon does that and I don't know why it does to some people and not others! :(

romaniablack

Thank you so much!! I'm not sure why Patreon does that, but I've started typing my replies in word or Google Docs before copying/pasting to Patreon, just in case, too! I can't wait to go over there and see what you wrote -- this was a great episode! :) Thank you for taking the time to do that!

Hi Romania, thank you for your reply :) yeah it is a bit of a mistery, but thanks for the advise, I will pre write the long comments in my phone notes just in case to have a copy. I have published my main comment in the reaction link in youtube, and it sticks there, I hope it is visible for u now 😄 Indeed the episode was great and intense.

This episode is an intense one, especially the last half, when you are on the edge not wanting Shalo Maki to get killed, but not wanting Light to be caught either. About the studies line, I think you read more on it that what it actually is 😄 it is just Light way to say that at this point he is soo in advance in his exams preparation that he doesn’t need to study for them anymore and is gonna nail them! At this point L has established a fairly exact profil for Kira , he studied his way of operating, his experiments on the inmates with the letters sent to L . but he has absolutely no way to suspect Light at this point because he does not know who Kira entered in contact with… BUT, he only lacks that minor little thing, that clue, and it will click in place .. I loove the parallels between them, they might be not similar physically and in the attitude but they absolutely are similar in the way they break down things and their deduction style. I also love, that fatherly smile, Chief Yagami gave L, it is like he reminds him of his son, in the age and skills department. That police station scene is amazing, Light is really a lucky man and his stars have been aligned all along, but will it continue that way or will the shoe drop? We shall see!! Light dropped L’s name to lure Ray’s fiance and make her trust him, talking openly about the case and L because it will means : 1/ he has nothing to hide. 2/ he knows about the case and eventually helps in it , which leads to that confusing comment of *I might beat L* meaning I will catch Kira before him. At this point , the broadcasting with L Taylor has been seen in the whole country so everyone knows L is on the case. I am always horrifyingly impressed how a good psychological manipulator Light is, because outside the station , to make her trust him, he went straight on talking about deductions he made about Kira and his methods, things not know to the public, using the mixing the truth with lie technique as Pyxis said (God I am drifting again :p), it helps him open the discussion on solid base with her as a good wannabe detective (which he is , as the police receptionist stated) and it wasn’t suspicious because he is Soichiro Yagami ´s son , so he would know more about it. God this episode and next one (I think you might have seen it by now as you record in advance ) are a masterclass in psychological chess. And yeah , Light isn’t a fool that will brag about being Kira , BUT, that freaking ego is his Achilles talon, because remember when he killed Ray, he could stayed in the wagon without showing himself, but he wanted Ray to know in his final moment, that He Light, is Kira and he beat him!! When in ep 1 you talked about Light feeling guilty when meeting a family member of a victim, I was chuckling to myself and saying out loud: yeah, sure!! 😛 As you see it, no guilt here, he freed himself from that emotion on his third kill (ep 1) and all those getting in his way to build his ideal world are the evil doers !! I think the use of Red light was great because it means for Light that he must stop here and think, about this new danger that appears!! God I love L and Light both : how could you not love a weird known genius detective with an antisocial behavior and a sugar addiction and a big ego And how not love handsome sociopath genius with a God complex and an enormous ego and the best thing they are playing against each other!! YES PLEASE! The reaction is amazing as always, you scolding Shoko is priceless.

3rd time the charm I guess YAYYY! We met L, my (disgusting) little gremlin. (not saying he’s disgusting, he’s amazing, but he kinda is disgusting, I mean his bare feet make me VERY uncomfy) (just a personal opinion, L-fans plz don't kill me) I’ll probably keep my mouth completely shut about the fiancee thing until it gets solved, or imma accidentally spoil something. :# But light’s ACTING SKILLS, light honey my love, as an actor myself I kinda admire him so much. And it’s a funny thing that I’m so against death sentences, BUT LIght just somehow has this ego. And I have a soft spot (way too soft) For smart, egotistical, elegant, manipulative, charismatic, morally questionable, (and sometimes brunette) characters. And idk Light just, for me, makes me root for him so much. Even though the majority of death note fandom is against Light. One thing that always cracks me up is just how L is pretty much like “anything that is written down is a piece of information” but meanwhile L’s writing on the table. Probably very hard to scrub off if you wish to get rid of the evidence... I like L, he’s not my fav character, or even my top 3. BUT his part in the story and the way he mirrors light ( in a very ship-able way) is just S tier and I love it. Speaking of mirroring, just a small detail I have noticed because I reread the manga with you reacting to the anime. Is that the anime is way darker, on the colour palette. While the manga is VERY VERY white. So it’s cool how they give the opposite feeling while telling the same story. The manga feels very innocent and like, purer. I really recommend reading the manga after you are done with the anime. Btw, are you going to watch the other death note adaptions? I mean some of them are really… NOT good. BUT They could make a nice reaction if you are interested? I mean there's the Japanese live-action film series, musical, 2015 television drama, 2017 Netflix live-action film and an audio drama (but that’s in german only, maybe with some translations somewhere.) And then there are side stories that don't involve the main story, BUT I’m waiting until a certain thing gets dropped in the anime until I inform you of them anymore.

Halle-freaking-lluah !! Patreon rechecked my comment visa and decided I was legit 😂😂😂

Ohhhh, I hear you -- bare feet on ANY hotel floor is gross. But we'll forgive L for it because he's a little gremlin and I love him already. :3 Ahh, and thank you for not spoiling! :) I hear you, I find a lot of Light does morally reprehensible, but STILL, his ego and skills are admirable, no matter how you look at it. I may not be "for" Light at this point, but I have to respect his strategy skills in all this! It's darn entertaining to watch! That's a good point about L's writing...maybe it's a dry erase marker? :P That is a really neat note about how the Manga and Anime use color, shading, and lighting! And oh ho ho, I can see L and Light being shipped together already, Sherlock-Moriarty-style! ^^ And bahahaha, if I do watch any other adaptations, at the moment, it will likely be the Netflix one for pure fun and trolling. We'll see by the end of the series what else I decide to tackle. :) Thanks so much for the comment!!

Yessss, the suspense and intensity of this series is soooo good! At least that makes more sense with the studying line! :) I was like, if Light’s already ditching his studies for the Death Note! @_@ And it’s so crazy how CLOSE L is to cracking the case wide open…so close, but yet so far…and that makes all the more sense why Chief Yagami smiled that way at “L” in a fatherly way like towards his son. Hm. This show has me constantly wondering just how far Light’s going to be able to go and how much he can truly get away with. @_@ It’s such a fun game, albeit stressful! That’s a good point too as to why Light dropped L’s name; it’s still such an odd phrasing with the subtitles. And that IS true about the public knowing “L” is on the case. Well, only the Kanto region really knows, because they aired the broadcast to only the Kanto region first. They were GOING to air it globally and to the whole country, but figured out Kira was in Kanto before needing to do so. And that’s a great point about how Light went the Pyxis route, mixing the truths with the lies…and that he’s helped with other cases, so his deduction skills aren’t just out of nowhere. And OH HO HO…yeah, the next episode is my favorite so far, and the most horrifying so far – but masterclasses in psychological chess, indeed! Yeah, Light isn’t dumb, but he’s not above stroking his ego when he “knows” he’s won…so….we’ll see where that takes him! Bahaha! And now, yeah, we see Light’s reaction with the family member of a victim. Hm. And those descriptions of L and Light are SPOT ON – definitely excited to see where this cat and mouse game goes with them…but Shoko…my girl….not sad that I scolded her at first, but am also happy that she seems to be a bit more competent than I originally gave her credit for. :) Thanks for the comment!!
