Ooohhh, this story gets more and more interesting and Light continues to surprise me with his decisions and cunning, as he closes in on the name of the "shadow" following him! I'm SO intrigued to see where the crumbs of foreshadowing set up in this episode lead us in the future!   

Also, Ryuk continues to be my favorite, and I continue to pity the people that are just pawns in the plans of these two! This girl and Raye...y'all have my sympathies!

I think killing only major criminals with heart attacks and minor ones with other means is more about keeping the general public on his side at all times... The public and even L only know he can kill with heart attacks so if the others die by other means it appears as though kira is more just and reasonable than he really is... Even light knows killing the lesser criminals will appear cruel or excessive so he wants to mask their deaths

I love how confused you were Romania when he turned down the deal 😂😂 Light wouldn’t take the shinigami eye deal because as he said he wanted to live long in his ideal world he would have created and for people to acknowledge him and also It will be just too easy for him if he had the Eyes, and that will bore him to death! I mean what’s the challenge for him if he didn’t have to work for it. Remember he is a hardworking student, he felt alive when L challenged him. So having the eyes to himself is a No No fot someone like Light because and again I come back to it : his Ego!! His ideal world won’t be as enjoyable if he built it this easily. Ray, oh Ray!! Such a handsome and nice guy but not careful enough. And yes! Light’s plans are a masterclass of their own, in creativity and brilliance , he experimented and observed before taking action, he is extremely careful and calculates everything move and counter move to no end.. Light is the Kasparov of elaborate plans and thinking. That doesn’t mean I support his actions, it means I am fascinated by his clever mind and impressed by the degree of planning it needs to achieve such a flawless plan. And L, I am very impressed by his profiling skills, he really is able to read Kira ´s actions very well and puts a profile corresponding to Light’s psyche !! Brilliant. And I think, the letters left to the police or L (and you are right, it will be cosmic if it is a coincidence) are Kira ´s way to : 1/ toy with L 2/ a diversion for them to be preoccupied with while he gets Ray ´s name . Also , to answer your remark , Light could have forbidden the criminal from interacting with Ryuk or repeating what he is saying, because as he has no control over Ryuk, he could have controlled the guy that seem like ‘ hallucinating ´ I really like your reactions to DN, it is an intriguing story and you are doing so well breaking it down :)

I was genuinely surprised, but once he started explaining things, it made SO much sense why he turned down the deal! :) I love how it all ties perfectly into his character in this series. "Such a handsome guy, but not careful enough" - TRUE STORY. More on that next episode (I'm only to ep 5, hahaha). I agree -- Light is such an intriguing character and I love the creativity and thought put into all these plans, even if they can be slightly horrifying. And L's ability and intuition with character is fascinating, too! It makes sense why Light gave him the letters, to distract him, but it would be funny if it led them to Light be coincidence. Great point about the criminal, too! Thank you so much for the kind words -- I'm definitely getting sucked into the story, here, and I'm SO fascinated to see what happens next!
