**Headphone Warnings, Me Thinks for This One**

As we reach the five-episode-warning for the end of the series, we're tying everything back around and entering "no man's land" for me, as I am SUPER curious how The Untamed will adapt the final chapters of MXTX's novel -- I don't know how the novel is going to handle the ending, either, so it's going to be fun afterwards comparing and contrasting!

But we already have alterations with the Burial Mounds fight and leading into the confrontation at Lotus Pier...I feel bad for a lot of these characters: WuXian, Ning, Wangji, Cheng, Sisi, Bicao, Baby Ling...you know who I don't feel badly for? DADDY JIN. Retribution, y'all. Retribution this episode.

Thanks for watching with me and for the support!

When I finished seeing episode 45 the first time I was a little confused by the first part, because I wanted to know how he managed to get rid of the puppets. For me it’s one of the plot holes that censorships creates (obviously creators stil wanted to stay as loyal to the novel as possible) removing one of the most emotional scenes of the novel. But I’m happy to have been shoked to read it the first time in the novel because I wasn’t ready for that part and I don’t know how much I cried 😭😭 but yes, it’s a pity they couldn’t include it. The first time I was too focused on Ning-Yuan-Ling to notice. But yes, with the rewatch, I also found it a bit awkward the fact that no one notices what is happening 😂😂 But it’s okay. 😂 Uh Nie Huaisang, what an actor. The first time seeing him act and talk like this with Wuxian I always thought “how nice, he wants to help his friend”…yes sure 😏😏 When you know the truth you see everything he says and dose from another point of view. And that’s one of the fun things about rewatching this drama, or if you know the story, to be able to focus on characters knowing what’s going to happen. Poor Jin Ling, someone hug that poor baby. First finds out that Mo Xuanyu is actually Wei Wuxian. Then he has to deal with Wen Ning who killed his father. And now he has found out the truth about his uncle. Fun times for Jin Ling 😅 So in the end, yes the censorship from here on has had a lot to do whit the changes and a few plot holes (in my opinion). But in the end I’m satisfied with how The Untamed handed it. I’m looking forward to next week! I love your analysis and your reactions. So see you next week for more pain 😅😅

Yes, they did sprinkle Huaisang's presence here and there, but if you're a first-timer watcher, you won't notice at all! But looking back you would see Huaisang was always there to turn the tides of the popular opinion in a very subtle way. He truly deserves an Oscar lol. Two weeks to go for the Untamed! While I am sad that our MDZS journey is slowly approaching its end, I am also extremely excited for the remaining grounds to cover and also your next journey into MXTX's other work!

Oh, it's SO amazing to (sort of) know about HuaiSang and pick up on these little moments the second/third time viewing with the Untamed and the audio book. I LOVE it! The acting is so impressive when you know where it's somewhat headed. I can't believe it's nearly over! I'm going to do react to the two other movies as well, to round out everything, but yes, it's WILD that after a year and a half, I'm almost finished with the first of MXTX's works! :) Thank you for the kind words and comment!

That's been one of the most fun things about this series -- knowing in a sense what is going to happen and then going back and seeing how it all goes down, and HuaiSang has been one of the most fun parts! You just watch him and KNOW it's about to go down and that he's acting and it's just *chef's kiss* But seriously, though, Ling needs a hug! He's been through a LOT and it's been tragic, just like with Cheng, too. I agree, having seen this play out in the novel, I agree the production and censorship had something to do with it, but it's okay. Like you said it's not overly distracting! :) I have been satisfied tremendously with The Untamed adapting the source material, so I can't complain! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! Sorry it's taken so long to get back but I am SO excited for this week!! :D
