You mean to tell me the anime ended before we got to this Sinha arc?! How DARE it!

After reviewing the loose threads and re-worked order of Volumes 1-8, we dive into Volume 9 of the manga and OH! It's off to a GREAT start, as we get more Sinha development and the BLUE DRAGON! Oh....why is there not an anime adaptation of this, again? WHY?! 

I've worked out the kinks this volume of how to cover the side "mangaka" notes and I'm So excited to be reading the manga, now! This is going to be a fun read with you all, I can tell!

Ahh I absolutely adore the anime but I’m so SO excited that you’re getting to the unadapted manga material now!! This fire tribe arc is one of my personal favs of the series lol, I really thought that it was gonna be a cute robinhood kind of storyline at first with the HHB but wOW did that change quickly. We still get some adorable antics, but we’re already seeing a bit more of the politics in motion, consequences for actions taken (and not taken by king il), and it’s so good?? Yona’s been so disillusioned and sheltered all her life from the tragic state of affairs the rest of the country’s been left in for so long, and I feel so bad that she’s had to confront so much of it all at once, but also so proud that she isn’t turning away from the truth, and is continuously and actively seeking ways to make it better, but I also love that the realism in that of course the authorities won’t take retaliation lying down, and that something has got to give or change. The shin-ah stuff was so intense too, and I’m super happy we got more with him after his initial couple of episodes, and then of course Tae-jun. TAE-JUN. He was introduced as such an arrogant creep but after the confrontation with yona, seeing him now in his despair and remorse I was like ?!?! I feel so bad?? But also kind of endeared?? And his dynamic with heuk-chi lmao I live for it. I cant wait for you to see what happens with them because they’re two of my favorite side characters in this series now, which is a thing I REALLY did not see happening before but here we are. Super excited for next week!

Yesssss, what we expect to be a "robin hood" glamourous story is QUICKLY turned on its head and I really appreciate the mangaka not trying to make it out to be great when it has problematic consequences. I love how Yona is having to confront these issues and like you said, I'm proud that she's facing them head=on! The Shin-ah stuff was SO intense! I was amazed at how his dragon was portrayed! And TAE-JUN!! Ohhhhh, I'm soooo ready for this week to talk more about him in Volume 10! :) Thank you for the kind words and comment! This week is going to be FUN! :D :D

I really enjoy the notes of the mangaka. It's interesting and fun to read. That one chapter really was amazing for Kija/Jae-ha shipper. We finally have our official group name. XD "I want to see that animated." You will say that a lot in the future. I really like that we got more of Shin-ah and him using his powers and how it really affects other people and himself. I love his and Yona's relationship, it's so sweet. And oh yeah, my boy Tae-jun is back. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Yes! I remember reading Fruits Basket the manga and loving those little notes, too! :) And as a Kija x Jae-ha shipper, I was quite pleased with Volume 7. :) YES! The Happy Hungry Bunch!! And the Dark Dragon, hahaha! And ahhh, I can already say that me wanting to see this all animated is just.....it's a lot. XD I love Yona and Shin-ah's relationship; it's SO damn wholesome!
