To celebrate a sub goal on YouTube, my LoL gamer brother (who sits offscreen because he doesn't want on camera) and I dive into this 9-part series! And it's in English! Whoo!

I know NOTHING about League of Legends, but luckily, that is not a requirement to enjoy this series -- the characters are all engaging so far and the story is setting up some interesting mysteries that I'm excited to see unravel as the story moves forward! This should be fun!

Legit one of my favorite series of all time, I've been hoping to see you get into this. Make sure your brother doesn't give you any league player knowledge until after episode 9 :) could be spoilers. Theres a TON of lore they are drawing on from the side content for the riot games, but they are doing it intelligently and picking and choosing which parts to take to make the best story.

Ha what a treat! I think you'll enjoy a lot about this series (the fighting choreography alone is both lush AND brutal), and look forward to 'seeing' you watch this with your brother. Congratulations on reaching your goal as well, looks like an auspicious start to the new year : )

Oh, didn't know you were gonna watch this, love Arcane. I was bitching a little about CGI in the last AoT reaction but that isn't inherit to all CGI,as this series is one of the most beautiful things ever put to screen.

For this series I would advice you to not ask too many questions about who is in the game or not because that's kinda spoilery (it doesn't ruin stuff since players all know this but for people going blind into this it's an extra layer of mystery). Also don't look up art or google the names of the characters, that's a surefire way to get yourself spoiled because some of them look way different in the game than they do in the show.

I can see he loves the game & notices Easter eggs but some Easter eggs are spoilers for the show. He's letting things slip a bit too much. You'll see as you keep watching so definitely be wary & not ask him too many things. It's best to go blind with this series. All will be explained. I never played the game but it's easy to follow & an even better rewatch. Have fun with this series Romania.💙

Oooh, that's awesome! So far, anything my brother has said hasn't really been spoilery (to me) because I don't have context. We're only two episodes in, so I'll make sure to relay that to him before Episode 3! :) I'm excited!

It is in fact not a requirement to know LoL to enjoy Arcane! Lucky us! I watched it from a standalone perspective and it's a whole story that explains a narrative without banking on outside experiences. Obviously there are snippets and lore crumbs for those who know what to look for but like on its own,, it's a masterpiece of a show. In only nine episodes and three acts, you'll get to grow with the story and its characters and I absolutely cannot wait to see it unfold again!

RIGHT?! I was worried that I would feel "out of the loop" not being a gamer, but I definitely don't and it's been really enjoyable so far! :) I'm so excited - and it's the three-act structure! The English teacher in me is thrilled! Thanks so much for the kind words and comment!
