I really liked Irene Adler's character, but y'all, I think I like James Bonde even more. Also, Louis and William are #progressiveaf in their inclusion of Bonde to the crew -- Moran's the only one needing convincing!

We also get another familiar name brought into the fold, ol' Jack the Ripper -- though, the case isn't as it appears to be on the surface, and I'm really excited to see where this will go in Act II!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

ITS AUTUMN 1888 AND WE ARE DOING CRIME And we have our trans/genderfluid king Bonde around doing his thing. I will never be over Moran with nothing but a towel hiding behind Louis. Like yes colonel, hide behind the former street kid turned noble for protection. Everyone else being so chill gives my so many reminders of my theatre days of taping balloons to people's chests and all sorts of other chaos. Theatre kids have no cares about who is in the room, we got a job to do, which makes sense with Fred and Bonde because they're the actors, while the military man is panicking. Bonde isn't used to working in a group either. Bonde has been on their own this whole time, unable to rely on anyone else, so being in the group is a learning curve. But spy/crime gang is all good, they're gonna be fiiiine. Jack being so chill with teaching kids to kill someone isn't weird to me, since my parents were also like "we're gonna teach you how to take down a man if you need to" from when I was like... eight. Why I say it's Autumn 1888, around September, is because that's when the Whitechapel Vigilance Committee was most active, but it's more likely to be late October because of historical events. Obviously this series isn't completely accurate, so pinpointing a date is basically impossible, but given events, we know it is mid to late Autumn during this arc at the least. But now that this episode has been watched, I can go into my historical context rambles later on, because the late 1880s is a period I know probably way more about than I need to.

I love how William just logs off lmao falls over gently and sleeps like that he looks like a baby 🥺

Right?! Just lulls himself right to sleep! He does look so much more "at peace" sleeping in this series; poor guy!

KING BONDE! I love it! I love the comradery that develops between him and Moran this episode! Of course, Moran doesn't know what to do with Bonde's new identity and I like we see his uncertainty compared alongside Louis and William, who just shrug and say, "And?" I love that by the end of this episode, Moran and Bonde are best bros! :) And that's a good point; Bonde isn't used to working with a group! I like how the "found family" dynamic is developing in this -- and YES, all the "theater kids" jokes throughout this episode. I was one, too; we know how this goes. XD That makes sense with the timeline now as well; the show gets as close as it can to the historical dates, which is fun! This was such a good episode, but I really like the next one, too! :) Glad to have Bonde on board!

Bond is definitely in my top 3. I really like him. I like that when we get to their normal lifes we see such a different dynamic between the characters. It's interesting. I don't really ship in this series but Moran and Bonde has something. They sold me in this episode already. XD Wish you a wonderful day!!

Agreed! I really came to like him after this episode! :) And yessss, seeing the characters in a "normal" setting is interesting, indeed! And yes, after watching a few episodes ahead, I view Moran and Bonde more as BFF's, but I see it! :) Thanks for the kind words and have a great day, too!
