I was not prepared for Chibi Dark Era! Between the bittersweet Oda/Dazai/Ango and sad-then-hopeful Dazai and Atsushi moments, this was cute, but also tugging at my heartstrings! Chibi series aren't supposed to do that, right?!  

This was a fantastic way to round out my BSD journey -- for NOW -- until Season 4 hits later in 2022, and I also react to the two "top" BSD AMV's to celebrate! Cheers to the new year!

I almost forgot it was sunday! Today's my birthday so this is like a nice little present! Finally we got actual Odasaku in a whole episode, a dark era episode but it still had it's funny moments. I remember freaking out when I finally saw him in chibi form, I'm glad they didn't forget to put him in the show! Too bad none of the guild members were in this season but I'm sure if they continue Wan there will be episodes with them in it, chibi Fitzgerald would be hilarious. Speaking of Mamoru, I've been watching Steins Gate where he's the va for the main character and oh my! Just another character that embodies his whole personality! I honestly don't think I could picture Dazai with another voice, Mamoru is perfect. I'm sad it's over but thankfully season 4 is coming, it's gonna be probably the best season so far! Also, belated merry christmas!

Hey!! Happy Birthday!! :D I'm so glad you enjoyed it and Merry belated Christmas as well! YESSSSS, FINALLY Oda in chibi form, and some laughs and major heartfelt moments!! I really hope they continue Wan after Season 4, because Chibi Fitzgerald and Lovecraft would be GOLD! And ooohhhh, I've heard of Steins Gate, but didn't realize he was the main character! Will have to add that to the list as well! :) Mamoru is so good in his roles! :) But yes, very sad BSD is on hiatus, but SO HAPPY we're getting Season 4 and this year, too! :D I'm hyped!

Me: Haha BSD wan can't hurt you BSD wan: I don't know if you've noticed, but at the end when Atsushi is sitting by the river, he's actually waiting to save Dazai in case he tried to drown himself again. But when he waited the entire day without seeing him, Atsushi realizes Dazai didn't do it this time. Maybe he listened to his words? I can never tell with how Dazai is lol.

Awwww, I was feeling sad about that ending with him at the river, waiting -- it makes sense he was waiting to save Dazai! :3 That is so sad, but sweet; I'm glad at the end, it shows Atsushi with his new "found family!" This series was so cute, but this last set of episodes really tugged at the ol' heartstrings!

Ahhh. Mobile ate my comment. It’s okay. Too much rambling anyway lol. We close out Wan on a more somber note. They did Dark Era better than I expected, but it’s still dark era. Oda’s mental image of Dazai was something. The voice actors did an amazing job of the body swap. I like that they end with “till we meet again”. I hope we will. I’ve read more of the manga and Wan Lovecraft is a thing… I wanna see it animated. And a lot more. Look forward to the audio dramas and the recap. Thanks for the reactions.

I’m glad you liked the AMVs. Glitter and Gold is most epic. I used to make AMVs and I made some really time consuming ones, but the way that editors these days incorporate sound blows my mind. These two do it so well. Panna AMV has a good Hanako-kun video too if your interested. Last thing to mention: the only way that season 4 could have anything from StormBringer in it is if they decide to include an adaptation at the beginning like with Dark Era and Fifteen. I’m praying they don’t do that cuz it’s twice as long as either of those novels so they’d really have to leave a ton out, but I suppose it’s best to wait and see. It’s got some great characters. I hope they animate it in some way eventually.

Hahaha, it's okay! I was really surprised by the Dark Era chibi, but it was handled so well, despite it being sad! :( And Oda's image of Dazai? *sighs* I really hope we get another season of this after season 4 of the main series, because I NEED Wan Lovecraft and Fitzgerald! Hahaha! :) Thank you for the kind words! I'm excited for the recap and audio dramas, too! :) :)

I'm definitely going to hold off on Stormbringer, just in case they adapt it, but maybe they'll do a movie with it? or spin-off OVA's? Hmmm...that's good to know, though! Thanks!! :D :D
