If I were to describe this movie in too words, it would be: Sweet and Wholesome!

I can't believe we got major BENEDICT focus through a lot of this film (I'm SO welcoming it, though), as we take a journey with these two found-family sisters and their reconnection, with the help of our two main blonde fashionistas!

The animation, of course, is still top tier, but I loved after half a season of straight up soul-crushing heartache, we got a story of happiness rediscovered between two souls, and it also helping Violet and Benedict to grow as characters along the way as well!

Now, to prep myself for the final film and the end of my Violet Evergarden journey...for now...nope, not ready.

Thank you for watching with me and for the support!

I remember watching this for the first time a few months ago and yelling at the screen near the end for Taylor to come out and reunite with Amy, but no such luck. Frustrating ending, though I guess I can appreciate the idea behind her waiting to grow up and deliver the mail herself. It also just hit me now, but Violet's outfit changes between the first and second halves, particularly her skirt and neckerchief. The first one is the same as in the series. The second one is the same outfit she wears in the second movie (which I'm guessing you've seen by now). Also, I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse somewhere of that book that kept reappearing throughout the series (it was also there in the tent scene in the final episode, though I didn't mention it).

Yeah, it was DEFINITELY frustrating!! I wanted them to reunite, but maybe then she wouldn't have gone back with Benedict? Who knows -- Oooohhh, and I didn't realize her outfit changed! @.@ That's a great catch!! And that book is a reoccuring thing -- I didn't realize it until the last movie, too! Nice observation, there! :)

The Stuffed toys on Hodgin's desk were the other stuffed animals that he originally offered Violet but she chose the dog. He's kept them, sentimental man. Yeah, the animation, was spectacular. Kyoani spoils us for any other studio's work. The detalls (aka the motorcycle for example), the backgrounds all so beautiful. I love the story details both told and visual that they include, plus the parallels between Violets story and Amy/Taylors. Benedict, really how have you not broken your leg with those SHOES on the cobblestone. Let alone walk all day in them delivering mail.

OH MY GOSH! You're right!! Awwwww, he DID keep them! :3 Hodgins is just great...that big softie. KyoAni is definitely spoiling me for other studio works, too; I mean, WIT does great with AOT and so does MAPPA with a lot of their projects, but KyoAni is just...a league of their own. You could pause it at any time and use the still as a wallpaper...it's just that good. YES! Violet paralleling BOTH Taylor and Amy was really a nice touch, and Benedict, my dude...he must have ankles of STEEL. I did speech competitions in heels for years, but I don't think I could withstand what his ankles go through in this series. All in the name of high-end fashion, eh? :)
