With only three episodes left, there is a LOT of exposition in this episode, but you know what? I'm fine with it -- because it's just hyping me for the novel and audio drama THAT. MUCH. MORE.

I'm also fine with it because it's the best animation we've seen on Cheng and Yao all season (SERIOUSLY, Yao's animation and THAT VOICE ACTING were stellar).

I'm not fine with Ning making my heart hurt, what with being the most adorable zombie ever, or the grandmother (CONFIRMING THINGS) reaching out to Sizhui with the toy, destroying my soul, but you know...it was still a great episode! I can't believe there's only 2 left. *sniffles*

Thank you for watching with me and for the support!

The story once again showed us a great example of how people are easy to blame somebody else, if there’s a chance to it. At first, they accused Wuxian of millions of crimes, even though he was not responsible for the majority of it. In this episode they were basically ready to judge Jin Ling for tearing up, although his whole world got literally destroyed in one swift moment. I’m glad we’re finally getting to this point of the novel, where MoXiangTongXiu openly tells us “please be aware that people are biased and blunt in their judgment most of the times”. Wuxian will actually have a talk about it in the final arc of the book, so I’m very excited to hear your opinion on it in the future. Jiang Cheng for sure knows what it’s like to lose your parents at a young age and grow up in the atmosphere of ugly gossip and intrigues. The parallels between him and Jin Ling (especially in the fight scene — where he gave him Zidian) are stunning and heartbreaking at the same time. Wen Ning and Sizhui just HAVE TO reunite and hug at some point. I will not leave the donghua team in peace if they won’t give us a happy Ning with his nephew (answering your question, I believe he was a brother or a distant relative of Sizhui’s father. Also, if you remember, there was an episode in MDZSq, where Jin Ling was night-hunting with Jiang Cheng, while Sizhui was night-hunting with Wen Ning — and Sizhui addressed him as “Ning-shushu”, i.e. “Uncle Ning”☺.) Thank you for reaction. (and please forgive me for sending this comment for the 3rd time today. Patreon is glitching so much, I can't take it anymore)

Yesss, the sheer back and forth with the civilians either blaming or praising WuXian is almost laughable -- if it wouldn't mirror real life so much. -__- And then, I felt so bad for Ling getting berated by them as well! And that is good to know that WuXian is going to go into more detail with this! Yay! I am SO glad that Cheng did not die -- that part of him giving the ring to Ling was heartbreaking, just as it was for Ning and WuXian to see the Wen's spirits...and YES! I want a scene with Ning and Sizhui understanding their past....ahhh...and I forgot about the MDZSQ episode with that! Oh wow...foreshadowing INDEED! @_@ Thank you for the kind words and comment -- Patreon can be SO odd with comments on here sometimes; I'm glad it finally worked! :D

I enjoyed your reaction so much! Regarding Yao's kid. Yes, he killed his son Song partially because he didn't want his demented child judged by the society. I mean, in a world like MDZS, even if you're as powerful as a clan leader, you still can't stop the mob from gossiping and saying bad things, can you? Besides, blaming the other clan for killing his son, in my opinion, was a tactic for Yao to get rid of the clans that didn't obey his order. Remember that when Yao pushed the construction of observation towers, a lot of clans were reluctant to follow. So I guess killing his son and scapegoating a clan is one stone for two birds. I agree with you that Yao probably truly loved his wife. But Yao's marriage is also a strategic move to garner support in the Jin clan. It was briefly mentioned in the donghua that Qin Su's father was a high-ranking subordinate of Daddy Jin, so winning his support by marrying his daughter made sense for Yao. And cancelling the marriage not only risked exposing Daddy Jin's disgusting deeds but also losing potential support in the clan, which was something that Yao didn't want to happen. The temple climax scene is GREAT in the donghua, but can I say the enactment in the Untamed is my all-time favorite? Can't wait for you to explore the novel and the other adaptations!

Oh yes it was definitely more of a teaser of novel culmination XD I've heard you like misunderstandings trope? Well YOU'RE GONNA GET IT FULLTIME. Donghua WangXian are basically together since 2nd season and it's heartwarming to watch, but having THAT level of romantic comedy alongside all the horror and detective parts... priceless. OFC there are people who hate Wangxian novel storyline for those tropey bits exactly. Not me, obviously.

Ahhhhh, yessssss, I'm so ready for WangXian antics!! Ahhhh, I'm ready for the way the novel builds their relationship! The donghua almost seems like a reward for the novel readers! :) I'm so ready! :D

Thank you SO much for the kind words and comment!! ^^ I definitely see your observation on Yao and Song -- it's SO crazy to me that Yao still killed his son and used it as a way to get rid of another clan...man, the name Song in this series is a curse! Daddy Jin is BASICALLY the main culprit in all of this -- his character was just sooo vile in this series, and I wonder, had Yao had a different father, how things could have been different... I really love the donghua, but I'm not going to lie -- I'm excited to see how the other adaptations handle this as well! :) :)
