A new series! As a Sherlock fan, I am REALLY excited to see this story from his arch-nemesis's perspective! This whole episode had me singing AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" in my head...Moriarty is an intriguing character and I'm digging the vibes with his brother Louis and ol' Albert!  

Moriarty's profession as the "dark detective," aka "Crime Consultant" should be a fun ride! Let's do this!

Kuroo x Daichi = looks like Kuroo all glowed up but voiced my Daichi's VA. Yes, Albert!! He caught my eye as soon as he walked on screen. Those green eyes, got me. I like the twist of having the story be told from Moriarty's point of view. As tor being a Patriot, that depends on your view point. To those he helps he could be considered a Patriot to those he works against, not so much. Benedict Arnold could be seen as a Patriot from the view of the British, but us American don't see him that way. Just like George Washington was a Patriot, but to the British a traitor. Definitely, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Retribution and Revenge.

Not sure if I'm going to do my deep dive comments on here or on Youtube, but here's a bit. So, there are three Moriartys: Albert James, William James, and Louis James (pronounced with the s), and each has their own "role". The OPs and EDs for this show are amazing. This little story about the Earl is actually an anime only story, but after it's manga stories, though some arcs are missed out. Very excited to see you react to the rest of this series

Oh my gosh I'm so excited for you to get into this series! I feel like it's right up your alley and the discussions will be great what with all the character relationships, crime things and viewpoints on society being hashed out throughout the show. This first episode I felt was a perfect little taste of what the rest of the series will be like, like a sample platter, lol. We got a little bit of everything in addition to setting up characters and the tone of the show. The Op and Ed fit this series amazingly well, the ending lyrics especially! Can't wait for next weeks reaction!

Retribution and Revenge! I love it! Oooooooh, Kuroo with Daichi's voice? Sign me up! :D And yes, Albert immediately caught my attention, haha! That's a really good point about how "patriot" is seen, depending on the perspective. It's going to be interesting to see that point fleshed out in this show, but I'm so excited to see it! :D

Ahhh, I recorded a little ahead on this show (only up to episode 3, because after Episode 2 I HAD to know, haha), so I'll make sure I get Louis's name correct going for with that! Thank you! I like a good mystery/thriller, and I like Sherlock, and I like anime, so YES! I'm thinking this'll be a win, haha!! I'm verrry excited to get more into the series and all the details! "A sampler platter" is a good description -- it seems to set the stage very well for what we can expect from the show, and yesss, the OP is so catchy and good -- I like the ED as well! I just started this show, only an episode ahead of you now. And I wasn’t sure about it because the whole idea that revenge and violence is a valid way of dealing with grief and actually helps the victims (the father in this episode), just doesn’t sit right with me. If it were reality then killing the killer would probably add to the trauma and suffering. BUT, I know this is anime. I’ll give it a shot. I know it’s quite popular. Watching it along with you will probably give me things to appreciate that I wouldn’t on my own. You’re reactions always give me a lot more to think about.

Yeah, I am curious if we'll get into the themes of revenge and the "other side" of the coin a la "be careful what you wish for" and all that good stuff...especially if Sherlock gets involved; I'm so curious, too! Now I really need to catch up with the anime. The first episode is actually a anime only story. And I definitely recommend reading the manga afterwards since they left some really good arcs out. The opening is sung by Hatanaka Tasuku who voiced Reki in Sk8. Yes, William is voiced by Saito soma who voiced Yamaguchi in Haikyuu. Louis is voiced by Kobayashi Chiaki who voiced Langa in Sk8. The concept is wonderful, in stories we mostly get the Hero's perspective but not the one of the "villian" so I think it's exciting to see more of their side. Especially since it's interesting to see a character like Moriarty as a main character. I love the colour and the simbolic in this anime. It's really ads to the atmosphere. That's so cool about Renga LITERALLY finding its way into other media, hahaha! I can't believe our boy Reki can sing this well! :) And the voice cast sounds great -- I can't wait to get more into this series, especially with the concept! I am so excited for you to watch this!! Even though I enjoy the manga infinitely more and a lot will be left out here, the anime is a good introduction. The Manga was released first and there are currently 15 volumes out. The artist for the manga is the same as for psycho pass. Also you loving Albert immediatly...same!! He is by far my favorite and if the anime does something wonderfully it's the voice acting. Albert's voice actor made me love him more :) I also really enjoy the color design and music in the show which is why is still appreciate it despite it leaving vital arcs out!! can't wait for the next episode reaction

It may end up being a thing where I catch up with the manga after watching like I'm doing with Bungo Stray Dogs, right now! :) I'll wait on reading the manga until after the series, since you said it's leaving out arcs, etc. And YES! Albert is my favorite so far; his character design and voice actor are just wonderful! :)
