Randou isn't even his real name, and it gets revealed next episode (kinda). And Corruption is just... a god taking over Chuuya's boy in a way. It makes more sense in StromBringer, the sequel light novel to Fifteen. Chuuya backstory is all in that story, and I can't wait for it to eventually be animated (hopefully)

Thanks for the comment! I've watched Episode 3 at this point, so I kind of figured it out next episode, but that makes more sense. I have heard of Stormbringer, but wasn't sure what it was about. May hold off reading that one so I'm not spoiled yet. :)

Chuuya's screaming entrance always gets me hyped. The Chuuya x Dasai dynamic is REAL. Dasai's past is dark, but he had Oda to show him the light.

hmm, some info. Hirotsu was not possessed by the Arahabaki. The old man we saw in the middle of the city was the body of the Boss which Mori killed. We assume that Hirotsu was blown away by the explosion that happened. Nor was Randou possessed as well. They were both just there when the explosion happened. Arahabaki was never inside anyone but Chuuya. Great reaction! The anime adaptation of Dazai Chuuya 15 years old was very rushed and left out a lot of details, they changed things here and there and a lot of fans was unsatisfied, if you watched the anime alone it would've been fine, but the novel has much more with the interaction between both of them. Fun fact: (not a spoiler) It is established that Arahabaki is a god. In real life, Arahabaki is THE guardian protection god in the Aomori area in Japan, no other gods can compare. It is older than even most religions like Shinto/ Buddhism in Japan. Aomori is also the hometown of the real Dazai Osamu. Also, out of all gods in Japan, more powerful, more well-known ones, the author just HAD to choose Arahabaki. Arahabaki who just so happens to be the god people in Aomori worships. Likes, gosh. Please let us know when you'll read the novel! I have so much to talk about the background in certain scenes in the novel that ties Soukoku together. I won't spoil anything til then.

YES! I love that he thought he'd have beaten Dazai to the punch! Their dynamic has been such a highlight of this flashback arc! And YES! Dazai was in darkness, but Oda showed him the light, and passed the torch to Chuuya, eh? ;)

That is SO interesting!! Especially given the tie in to Dazai's hometown and the god chosen...yeah...no coincidences, there. @_@ I've watched Episode 3, but that is as far as I've gotten; I want to read the novel before getting into Episode 4 so I can talk about it! :) I'm excited to read it and see what more is there! And THANK YOU -- that makes a lot more sense about Hirotsu not actually being the same body as the boss -- they were just in the same area...gotcha! That makes sense! :) I appreciate the info and kind words!! :D

Your so perceptive, understanding what Dazai is thinking in the arcade. That the Sheep are just using Chuuya and don’t really care about him. Before I read the novel I thought Dazai was in pure scheming mode. But Shirase’s emotional manipulation, and Dazai’s not liking how they are using him is apparent from the book. I was surprised and happy that you picked up on it. And of course you didn’t understand the party scene because they left it out entirely. One of my favorite scenes. I want to gush about it, but I won’t if you haven’t read that far in the book yet. I’ll just say that not letting us see that side of Dazai animated seems quite unfair. ☹️

Oh, thanks!! It's sad that the Sheep are using Chuuya and Dazai sees right through it. Ahhhh, and thank you for not spoiling me! I've not got through the book yet, but I will hopefully be talking about it when I get to Episode 4 (I hope to have the book done by the time I record it). :) Ahhhh, I'm so hyped, though! :D

Chuuya's scream XD How I love Kishow's voice. I find it so fascinating how good you can read what Dazai is thinking. I find it so difficult and it takes me a while to figure him out in some scenes. I love the reveal of Chuuya. Throughout this conversation you start to realize Arahabaki is him. But you don't know how. It's just so good. It's a really good episode but I find it so hard to write about it. XD Wish you a wonderful day!!

I love his VA, too! That whole part of him jumping in, thinking he'd won -- so funny! XD And thank you! Dazai fascinates me so much -- I'm excited to get to him more in the light novel. And yesssss, the slow but sure reveal of Chuuya and Arahabaki! :D I love it! Thank you so much for the kind words and I hope you have a great day, too!
