Well, well, well, and so the plot thickens EVEN MORE.  "It takes those willing to give up their humanity to fight monsters," Oh, Armin has ALL the good one-liners this episode, as we delve into what it takes to be a leader in this world!

And what a world -- the turn of events in this episode is crazy, and again, SHOW! Quit with the CLIFFHANGERS!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

That’s a great top 5 characters list. Would love to even see a tier list every season, if that’s something you are open to.

Come on you've watched enough anime to know...anime=cliffhangers.

Honest question, did you have to hold back when the blood evaporated on Erwin's skin ? Is he not worthy of being included in kooky theories ? Just kidding with you ofc ;-P Also, since i don't know when you'll be recording the AoT marathon thing: 1. Ep.25 has an after credit scene, so no skipping that one ! And 2. Since you are already doing A LOT in that brief time period, how 'bout we add another reacton to the workload ? ^^ But seriously, it's kind of a rite of passage thing to watch "AoT in 9 minutes" by Youtuber "Gigguk" AFTER having seen season 1. Like i'm not even kidding, it's like a certain episode of a certain show that you have to watch to be part of the club ^^. I'm sure YT and Discord will be screaming about it eventually. It contains no spoilers for anything after season 1, HOWEVER THE COMMENTS under the video very much DO, so no peeking at comments for you on this one :/ Again, no pressure, but it's a fun little thing that is very well regarded in AoT circles even after all these years. It came out when season 2 was just around the corner and kinda sorta doubles as a legit recap/refresher of S1 and includes some jumping-off-points for most of the important events in the series so far. So if you want to include it in a recap video of yours, imo that would be a decent time to do it, if you don't want to seperate it.

You think I'd be used to it, by now! I just get so wrapped up watching that when it comes up at the end, I'm caught off guard, hahaha!

Oh thank you so much! YES! My plan is to do a character tier each season when I recap and review, and then save a screenshot of the tier list to see how it changes from season to season -- I think that'll be fun! :)

Hahahaha, Honestly, if Erwin could turn into a titan after all of this, I'd...well, I don't wear hats, really, so not sure if I'd eat one, haha! Thank you for letting me know about Episode 25's after credit scene! And AHHH, actually, I'm going to watch "Attack on Titan in 9 minutes!" When I do the "Recap" video, it's going to be part of that video (my reaction) -- I've had way too many recommend it to avoid it. And of course, I won't be looking at the comment section! I've done too well avoiding spoilers now to risk it, haha!! I'm glad we are on the same page with that thought!! ^^

I liked this back and forth between the different groups and how they all pieced the situation together. The scene between Jean and Armin when Jean questioned Erwin tied back to Levi saying to Eren to choose to do what he least regrets. You don't know if you would have choose to do something different it would have been the better choice. It could have been caused more deaths, it also could be least. You will never know. Either way there will be something that will go wrong and lives will get taken. Armin's lines this episode were amazing and Erwin's expression this episode gave me chills. Of course one of the 'Levi squad' had to die right after we had a sweet/funny scene between them. I can't choose my Top 5, this show has so many good characters. Jean is definitely my Number 1 and the others change constantly from episode to episode. XD Wish you a wonderful day!!

That's a great point -- it's one of the reasons I wish Eren were around Armin and Jean more, so he could hear this -- that no matter what happens, someone is probably going to die and we just have to go with the decision that feels best to us and that we'll regret the least. I feel that is what Levi was trying to say to Eren back in Episode 19, but I'm not sure if Eren "Got That" or not. @_@ And Erwin is just a chilling character in general -- I would NOT want to have the pressure to make the decisions he does in this. And of course, this show doesn't let us have happy fun times unless it pays back in spades. -_- Jean is likely to stay a permanent top 5 character for me...probably with Armin, too, but it's only season one (and it's not over). I'm sure there'll be a bunch of new characters come in future seasons that will shake up the rankings. Thanks so much for the kind words and have a great day, too!

So in the scene where Levi is telling Erwin about how the rear guard gave their life for the mission. Am I the only one that feels some unease between Levi and Erwin? It almost feels like Levi was looking for something in Erwin.. like an emotion in response to what he told him, empathy maybe? It almost feels like when I watch an AoT reaction and I am looking for a certain emotion to a certain scene from the reactor.

romaniablack

Yes, that's a really good point to bring up! On first viewing, I thought it was Levi establishing that the success of them getting the female titan to Erwin wasn't solely due to Levi, but actually due to those that gave their lives along the way...but now that you mention it, it appears he might have been wanting Erwin to offer some acknowledgement. I've definitely noticed a subtle back and forth tension between Erwin and Levi over the episodes -- it's so interesting; they both clearly trust each other's judgment, but both test each other as well. I'm definitely going to keep that in mind!!
