Hey all, I know there's still plenty of "Real" left to read, but as I get closer to catching up on the series (I'll stop at Volume 14; Volume 15 is set to release in December 2021), I wanted your opinion on what I should read or watch next!

I'm going to narrow down from here, but I wanted you all to choose where I went to from here with replacement options.

Vote for ANY and ALL you want and I'll narrow it down from there for the next poll!

Heavens Official Blessing 👀👀 just as much pain as MDZS 🤠😉

Paco_Stil

would be great to see you reacting to a new manga series or a “retro” anime - three suggestions would be Death Note, Monster and Code Geass.

romaniablack

I'm definitely doing HOB after I finish with MDZS! :) So that one's decided, if that helps! :D Good to know it'll be just as painful, haha!

romaniablack

Oooh, I've not heard of Monster! Death Note would definitely be on the Retro poll. I've sadly already seen Code Geass (I loved that show when it came out), but I'll eventually do a Soapbox for it! :)

uchuu

would love to see natsume's book of friends as an option for a poll someday :)!

Tameaw

I would love to see your reaction to retro anime but most of them may be too long for reaction🥲 If you like kind of mafia/criminal story, my recommendations are 91Days(2016) and BACCANO(2007). The former one is very heavy focusing on revenging. The latter one has a very interesting presentation…parallel storylines of different characters.

romaniablack

You know, I've had several recommend that series! I will definitely have it on a future poll! Thank you for the recommendation!

Finish off the Inoue's works with Vagabond 🤞

romaniablack

I agree, it would depend on the retro anime -- some are REALLY long, but some might be nice one-season choices. :) And thank you for the recommendations -- 91 Days is definitely on a future poll and I hadn't heard of Baccano -- definitely adding that to the list! :)

romaniablack

Thank you for the comment!! I will have to finish the trifecta of Inoue, right? I am thinking that these are going to be in order -- whatever wins 1st will be what I do first, and then I'll follow up with the 2nd and 3rd place option. :) I KNOW I'm going to get to Vagabond; it's just a matter of when. ^^

Hi Romania! Have you heard of Kabanari of the Iron Fortress? Back a few years ago during the long gap between Aot season 1 and Aot season 2, the studio that animated Aot came out with Kabanari! It was something the fans of Aot could thrive on during that grueling 4 year gap!! It's a 12 episode anime with quite a few similarities as Aot. I really hope to see it on your list one day if you haven't watched it yet! Have a great day! 💕😊

Do you have a list of series that you've already watched - like anilist? Mostly so we don't bother you with requests of the ones you've seen/read.

romaniablack

Oooohhh! Thank you for the recommendation! That sounds awesome! Also, side note: THERE WERE FOUR YEARS BETWEEN SEASON 1 AND 2 OF AOT?!?!?! Wha-ww-what?! How did you all SURVIVE?!

romaniablack

Yes! I do have a MAL list! :) Here is the one for Anime: https://myanimelist.net/animelist/RomaniaBlack And here's for Manga: https://myanimelist.net/mangalist/RomaniaBlack Thanks for asking! :D

I'd recommend Rakugo(Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu), a fantastic anime with beautiful characters and very emotional story. Can't say much more cause I don't want to spoil anything, but it's certainly worth watching, or at least checking out.

Seeing a reaction to some classic old anime would be fun, like Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Gundam, Evangelion or Legend of the Galactic Heroes, though those are all really long and kind of a big undertaking haha I think of those plus Dragonball and the big 3 as anime giants lol. Some more fun oldies but goodies are Natsume Yuujinchou, Lovely Complex, Kids on the Slope, Tsubasa Chronicles...there's just too many! Whichever category you decide to go with has plenty to choose from so I'll be happy with whatever wins!

As for donghua, may I recommend Tianbao Fuyao Lu (The chronicles of exorcism, I believe, is official en name). It's 3D but really well done and pretty looking, action-y detective story in historical-fantasy setting, characters are good and comedy is real, BL vibes are... there but I didn't really feel them in 1st season.

romaniablack

Thank you for all the suggestions! There's SO MUCH yet to watch, it's almost dizzying, but I'm so glad you all are recommending these titles! Hahahaha, oh, the "Big 3" -- I remember those days. I've already watched Dragonball Z, and the other three titles (still keeping up with One Piece) so the most I'd do with them one day is a Soapbox episode, but the other titles I've put down! :) I appreciate it!!

romaniablack

Oooh, thank you so much!! I've been keeping a list of donghua titles to break into, and I appreciate adding this to it! :D :D

hi romania! would love to see you react to one of the big retro psychological anime, e.g. death note or evangelion :)) they’ve both got some really interesting plot lines/themes and characters which i feel like you’d enjoy! hope you have a great day

romaniablack

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I've heard both of those shows are really good, so they'll definitely be on the retro poll when we get to it! :) Thanks so much and have a great day, too!

Ngl, i feel like manga would always lose out. It's just very niche compared to anime. Whatever it will be, i feel like the channel needs some lightheartedness, though some of the suggested retro titles are true classics, that are worth watching just to be able to see their influences on the medium imo. So anyway, since "some anime/donghua" is in the lead, i randomly throw "Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?" into the ring, though i feel like it would fit a "sports"-slot rather well, so maybe keep it in mind for after Diamond no Ace (pwetty pwease ? *puppyeyes*). Funniest thing i've seen in the last few years and at the same time legitimately educational. Sadly, it kinda flew under the radar for a lot of people for various reasons. Have you ever considered doing a pilot one-shot series ? Like watching a bunch of suggestions, but only going by the first episode and if you feel intrigued by the premise ? No idea how other people feel about that kind of thing, but imo it works better than polling and then blindly committing to weeks or even months of a show.

romaniablack

It will be nice to change the pace up a little bit, but whatever order this poll goes in will be the order I watch Real's replacement, so I'll at least get a retro show in there somewhere! Oooh, I'll definitely put down Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru! Thank you or the suggestion!! I feel like a lot of really good shows go under the radar! :) And ahhhh, my personality is always, once I start something, I want to finish it. So, doing just one episode of a bunch of series -- I'd have to end up watching all of them, haha!! I don't know if I could handle it! But I trust you all have good taste! :) So far, every show I've watched on here, I've enjoyed -- if I got to a series I didn't....well, I would probably at least have a lot to talk about with you all on how it could be improved! ;) I trust y'all!
