The three-way war between The Guild, The Port Mafia, and the ADA reaches a fever pitch, with The Guild taking some BOLD risks to secure their victory...looks like our weretiger might need to take the advice of his "friendly neighborhood physician" and do some bold counterattacks of his own...  

This episode and episode 7 have been some of my favorites, along with the Dark Era arc for this series!

Such an amazing episode! I love that Dazai’s plan revolved in his belief that Atsushi would somehow escape the Moby Dick with the doll. So cute seeing Dazai trust someone. And this episode shows how truly brilliant Dazai is. He was able to thwart Louisa’s master plan even though she’s supposed to be an ability fueled strategist. And, to me, it looks like he knew from the start that allying with the PM was inevitable. After Ranpo, he is definitively the most brilliant character on the show. Next week’s episode is one of my favs! So good, can’t wait 😊💕

Just face it you JUST love the entire series, it's so hard to pick favorite episodes for this anime, it's just too good.

Oh, I never thought about Atsushi being similar to both Oda and Dazai but I totally see it. I'm not sure what it is but I really like that moment when Atsushi sees the port mafia protecting the civilians. It was wonderful how they tied the qoute from the author Atsushi in. Uhh yes, double black. I'm so ready for next week. Wish you a wonderful day!!

A slight turn in Lovecraft's character. that balloon dachshund, was it? Yep, Steinbeck is definitely the creepy one in that pair. Humanly, understandably creepy. That's worse. "Tiger beetle" is a play on words, meaning "the guiding post", so if you're a tiger, you will lead him to the thing he needs. Fitzgerald is dancing on thin ice with those kinds of "predictions"... Or does he? Twain and Melville, yay! Louise's ability will be explained a bit more later, I think.

And yesssss, Lovecraft is creepy for sure, but Steinbeck is just as haunting and like you said -- a worse form of "Creepy." Hmmmm, that is interesting about Fitzgerald and the "Tiger Beetle." I love Fitzgerald's character, but him mad? @_@ And I'm excited to get more of an explanation of Louise's ability, but yes!! Twain and Melville! So glad they're included in this!

Thank you for the kind words! I think Atsushi is more Oda than Dazai, but I can see how Dazai sees perhaps a little of himself in Atsushi. And YES! Atsushi realizing that the Port Mafia was protecting the people of the city as well was one of my favorite moments of the episode! The tie in to the literature and that whole final scene was perfection!! Oh yes, DOUBLE BLACK! I'm so excited!! Have a wonderful day, too!

Hahahaha, okay, I definitely LOVE the entire second season so far, that is for certain! :) But these last two episodes and next week are right up there with the Dark Age for me! If Oda had been in these episodes, it would have been perfection haha!

Loved this episode, too! And Dazai placing faith in Atsushi! Again, maybe seeing some of himself in Atsushi, only the "good parts" of himself? :) And yesss, I think Dazai could see the plan Atsushi had as well...now it's just getting everyone else on board, right? I have LOVED episodes 7, 8, and 9....oh....I can't wait either! :D
