Sorry, my comments are getting crazy long again! Can't help it. Cultivators are supposed to serve as supernatural detectives in xianxia, so it's now wonder Wei YIng latches onto the case quickly. His interest in dark things is also a part of explanation, and plans to get some money, too, but the main thing is his inability not to start saving people whenever there is a chance. I mean, he could have ridden away, hidden forever in fields and mountains, but no, he goes straight where chaos arises. And that's why he and Wangji are always destined to meet. That's also why his image as a cruel necromancer, created by few rumors in the beginning, is shattered as soon as he starts to speak for himself. "Kill everyone in Mo clan? Nope, that's not me. Oh, Lan ducklings are in danger? Sure I can't just stand aside!" No intrigue in his character, just none XD As for some scenes not covered in donghua, I think you will like seeing those in live action series. Washing up in the stream, Lan Zhan and Jiang CHeng agressively not speaking to each other while waiting for juniors... The novel is very much centered on Wei Ying, as much of unreliable narrator as he can be sometimes, live action gives us more of his honest reactions and other viewpoints, donghua is somewhere in the middle. Ah, that ending song gets me every time. After you know everything, all the lines are just... cutting right through the heart. "I thought you had forgotten me already, but wasn't it me who did forget real feelings after all?" It's so painful to read how Wei Ying refers to Lan Zhan as a cold beauty who hated him and his ways back then, when you already know just how much this Lan heart feels and bleeds! It's a blessing that their "nameless song" brought them back together after all. Oh yes, the novel view shows expertly how much Wei Ying gushes about Lan Zhan's beauty and righteousness every time he can. Nope, honey, you weren't straight, not for a minute! I mean, there is a huge discourse over "When did Wei Ying fall in love" and many little moments that count towards that... sadly he's so focused on HE HATES ME after the rebirth. But, well, that is also a part of psychic defense I believe. "Lan Zhan is too good, I was so bad, he can't, he must not have a single kind thought towards me". Oh. There are more painful things around that for both of them... I also love the turn that the goddess became what people made her. If people say you're good, you're good. If they say you're evil, you're evil. The power of the mob, the rumors, that tendency to find a common enemy and turn on him, that's one of the main themes in the novel. Jingyi is the most unlikely Lan among the Lans! No wonder he gravitated towards open-minded Sizhui and respects Hanguang-jun the most no matter what strange things he does. But still, Mo Xuanyu is his senior after all! The ducklings are around 17 here, Mo Xuanyu's age is not specified but afer doing math it can be from 20 to 25. Wei Ying died around 22 so his new body is roughly the same as the old one. Meanwhile Jiang Cheng: MY STUPID ASS ALMOST-BROTHER always flirted with Lan Wangji at school and after, teased me and acted stupidly! How can he think I won't recognize him! AHAHAH the next part will be glorious.

Never feel bad about long posts!! ^^ I'm so glad to talk about this! That makes so much sense that the cultivators are also detectives; I don't know how I didn't put two and two together with that, but yeah, we get such insight into WuXian's character early on! ^^ "Aggressively not speaking to each other" -- I love that! Yes, it will be nice to see the other characters in the novel reenacting these moments in The Untamed! And yessssss, seeing that WuXian, honey, you were never straight -- I like your explanation of why WuXian believes what he does about Lan Zhan in his resurrection. It's like, DUDE, Lan Zhan luuuurrrrrvvveesssss you! :3 Ahhh, *fangirls* I love JingYi already and yes, the establishment of the power of the mob, of rumors, and of the past and its influence on the present, and yesssss, Oh, Cheng....I'm so ready for the next part as well! :) Thanks for the comment!!

Hi Romania. I've been away and busy with life for a while but I'm back now! I love your reaction to the audio drama so much, so plz keep doing it. I have to say the music in this audio drama is just *chef's kiss* Keep an "ear" on this WangXian theme and you will have a nice surprise as this show goes on :)

Hey!! Welcome back! NO worries! ^^ Thank you so much!! Yesss, I am definitely going to do it up until Season 3 of the donghua starts, and then I may take a quick break to watch the donghua, but after that, I want to go back through and review the rest of the audio drama and novel/manhua -- I'm REALLY enjoying it so far! Hearing the audio drama is just soooo good! :D I'm so excited!

I'm literally begging for a modern au fic, where Lil Apple is actually Wuxian's shitty stolen car. Imagine it having no keys so he hot wires it to run away from the Mo manor - also, the tail light is broken and the windshield wipers don’t work, and the only one who seems to be able to roll down the windows is Lan Wangji (the Lan Arm Strength™) .
