Well, well, well...this is the most intense first episode of a show I've seen in a LONG time.

So much discussion already, as we're introduced to our main trio (seemingly): Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. And they're up against these monstrous and mysterious "titans" -- there's so much intrigue, questioning elements, and that ENDING?! 

I'm in for quite a ride, aren't I?

First of all, I am so excited that you are starting this show! The only thing I am going to tell you is that you are in for a ride. A very emotional, twisty, anxious, and confusing ride. But I’m sure it will all pay out. What I can tell from your reactions to other shows, it seems that you love story and story building which is something that AoT for sure has plenty of, besides the obvious world-building. And don’t let me start on the characters which, I am sure you’ll find out, are often complex and intriguing. It really is an epic show - from the soundtrack to the story and its characters. Be prepared that there’s gonna be a long discussion after every single episode haha. I love hearing your theories and thoughts so I really hope that you’re gonna love this show even though it sometimes indeed can be gory and violent. There is some humor to compensate for its heaviness but it’s not the show’s carrying element. As you’ll get further into the show, you’ll see that there’s a lot of themes that can be translated to our society and a lot of problems that are relevant to our modern world. Hope you’ll enjoy the ride and I’m looking forward to your upcoming reactions.

Oh, I just finished recording episode two, and I can already tell I am in for a wild ride -- I'm so excited, though!! @.@ I LOVE character development in stories, but if it can give me a fleshed-out world and story-building, I am ALL IN on a show! And if it has both? *chef's kiss* I can already tell each episode is going to lend to some lengthy discussions and theory-crafting and I'm sure that in hindsight I'm going to be slapping my forehead with things that I missed, but I'm so excited to talk about it with you all! Thank you for the comment and well wishes, haha! I'm SO hyped for this show, now!

The first three seasons are animated by WIT and only the last season is from Mappa. Erens seiyuu, Kaji Yuki, also voiced Shion from No.6. You're really in for an emotional ride. XD It's still the most intense first episode I've watched. I'm not sure if anything is going to top that. What I probably like the most about AoT is that the characters are really complex. It also has character development that is unexpected. The story and world-building is awesome too. From what I know you really like that so I'm sure you're going to enjoy it. I often see under other people's AoT reactions that they get comments with spoilers in it. I'm not sure how it's going to be here but maybe you should look out a bit. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Oh, gosh, you're in for it now! I voted for Yona but I figured AoT would win, lol. I'm excited to see your reactions because of your attention to detail and how good you are at breaking things down and analyzing, but man, prepare yourself!

Those characters seem as far apart on the spectrum as can be! @_@ It's probably the most intense first episode of an anime I've seen -- it would be hard to top! But I'm sooooo excited to delve into complex characters involved in an intricate story! Yay! And yesssss, spoilers are going to be an issue, so I feel I may have to stay away for a few days after an episode airs so other people can warn about spoilers, etc. So far, everyone in each series I've watched have been SO KIND about not spoiling -- this series is going to be hard, though! @_@ Thank you for the kind words and have a wonderful day, too!
