NEW REACTION LINK: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/AKHzrkiAHYQJuFv8bv7NS6?

Sorry for the f-bomb, y'all. I was NOT expecting that in the moment, and that was a genuine, terrified reaction from me. So, there's that.

This episode had a LOT going on! Kento Nanami continues to be a consistent badass mentor, Yuuji and Junpei become closer friends, but then Mahito and Getou step in and throw a dark wrench into everything and Junpei decides to take his rage out...leaving Yuuji to stop him?!

Things are getting heated and we're not even halfway through this season, yet!

2021-10-19 03:48:15 Hahaha, my sister is a person who *never* swears, but she's told me that sometimes, there are indeed situations that call for an f-bomb, and I think that scene ABSOLUTELY qualifies, my reaction was similar (but maaaaaybe with multiple cusses). The rug pull on Yuuji & Junpei's Friendship Times into horror was so painful, but so masterfully done. And knowing that Mahito waited until Yuuji gave Junpei just a tiny bit of hope that people weren't inherently terrible, so the pain of his mom's murder would sting that much more - like on some level he might feel guilty for "letting his guard down" - brrrrrrrrr. I loved (and by loved, I mean it broke me a little) how the reveal of the cigarette burns made the introduction of Junpei's mom and his request for her to stop smoking hit differently on rewatch - being in close proximity to a lit cigarette is probably a legit PTSD trigger for him. On a lighter note, I absolutely love it when a buttoned-up anime man lets loose, so Nanami's Overtime was SO GOOD for me, lol! I felt like a swooning Victorian lady when we got to see his collarbones while he was on the phone with poor Ijichi. *fans self*

Oh, I'm the same -- I don't usually swear much at all, but that moment genuinely SHOCKED me! I hate horror movies, so that "Ring/Grudge" looking head popping up behind Junpei's mother terrified me. Junpei's story has been SO sad and painful and you see Yuuji giving just a little bit of hope...and then that happens with the mom and you realize it's going all downhill...ahh...and OH OH OH, I hadn't thought about the cigarettes tying in with the mother's smoking. Oh my GOSH, that is hard. That's probably a trigger and the mom doesn't even realize it. Wow, that's so sad. And ahhhh, ahahahaha "Swooning Victorian Lady" is LITERALLY my persona when watching any hot anime man let loose. So yes, I was in the same boat as you with Nanami this episode, from the fight to his conversation in the bathroom. I'm not complaining about it! Hahaha! I can't wait for the next episode to be on here....*nervous chuckle*
