Fyi, the final will be played in Round-robin format. So, all four teams (Shohoku, Kainan, Ryonan, and Takezato) will play each other once; the two team with the best record would be advanced to the National Tournament.

Mmm, not a fan of writing long posts on patreon, cuz my phone and this site are near incompatible, but gotta point out a thing. Coach Anzai said "If you don't play Kainan to win, it's better to not play them at all. They might scar you for the rest of your basketball life if you go in just to play". That's because Kainan is a national lvl team. Every year they enter interhigh and while they never won it, it's not like they're the worst of all entries. Maki is top lvl player even by national standards. If one can't defeat Kainan, might as well forget winning nationals. Also, what Ryonan coach meant by "era of Maki and Fujima ended," was that it used to be Kainan vs Shoyo, Maki vs Fujima and no one even came close to them for past three years. Fujima was defeated, and both are seniors. In any case next year's top 4 are up for grabs.

That sucks that you have to type it out on your phone -- I agree, I wish these were on YT for accessibility reasons, but here we are. -_- Thank you for the translation information as well; that makes SOOOO much sense, especially given how these brackets are working (I noted with another patron that I've already recorded a few more volumes, so I'll probably bring it up in Volume 15; apologies ahead of time). But that's a great point...Kainan is setting up to be sooo intimidating already, and I love the idea that with the 3rd years gone on these teams, the next few years will be anyone's game! So exciting! Thanks for the support and comment!
