Also, MAN -- Ash has the most messed up backstory. EVER. T_T

Daddy, Max. Max is the best and he is there for everyone. Yes, Ash has a mixed up backstory and yet he still is not broken. I knew that shooting practice was coming this episode, that's why I had to laugh when you mentioned it during your last episode reaction. Eiji is just so clueless and keeps causing problems for the crew. You're pretty good at guessing by the way, which just means you're really paying close attention to all the subtle details in the episodes. Banana Fish in my opinion is a master piece, its the total package - the writing, the story, the characters, the art/animation and the OST/OP/ED. It is so under watched. The reasons I can think is the fact that was streamed on Amazon Prime (you can find it on illegal sites now) and the fact of the BL undertones to the story which tends to turn people off if it (like Given). This story is just getting started and LA will bring more turmoil for our crew. Hmm....what else can they have Ash go through. Sitting here with eyes wide at that statement.

Ahhh, YES! Max has really grown on me these last two episodes more than I thought he would! And the fact that Ash has suffered SO MUCH and still has his humanity is incredible to me! And poor Eiji...I love our sweet boy, but dude is such a liability to the crew. That's hilarious that you mentioned that about the shooting practice -- I really wish it'd been longer this episode, but ah well. Yeah, I really am amazed more people don't watch this series -- it's just SO good; I'm already getting that "masterpiece" vibe and I'm only a fourth of the way through the show...And LA....man, so ominous! I'm not sure I'm ready, but here we go! :D
