NEW REACTION LINK: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/8r7fJ7RdDRFuLfWxkbeb1z?

Ash takes matters into his own hands after certain events unfold...which is always a great idea, right? This series, y'all...it's NOT straying from going all out at 120%, is it?

I hope you enjoy the full length reaction!

Shooting practice for Eiji, hmmm. Eiji is a quiet, reserved guy, until he set his mind to do something and then he does it with his whole heart. Ash has been shown to be apposed to killing. Although he is apposed to killing, it not that he does not have the skill he just sees no reason to it, especially if it brings more trouble. He make an exception for Dino for GOOD reason(s). I'd never expect Eiji to actually be able to kill, it just not his personality. Maybe if Ash's life was on the line. As you said trust is one of the themes mentioned several times in this episode. I wonder about Ash's line after Eiji says you can't trust nobody and Ash says, "Nah, it not that Bad." (19:38 in the video). I get the feeling that Ash still feels he has people he can trust...Shorter and Eiji, especially Eiji. Ash is not SO gone that he thinks there is no one he can trust and that is why he makes that comment.

That is a really good point about Ash -- I forget sometimes that even with all the bad that has happened to him, he still really doesn't want to kill anyone. It's so easy to forget that he truly isn't broken to the point of not trusting anyone yet, and that says something about his strength as a character. Still, though, that trust line just makes me feel SUCH a sense of foreboding and dread...ugh....the main emotions felt with this show, right?! And Eiji is a precious angel who must continue to be protected! I agree; I can't see him being able to kill anyone (unless it was to save Ash), but I just want him to be able to defend himself...had Shorter not been there...*sweats* Thanks so much for the comment on this...this episode did not let up from the last...and I have a feeling that's going to be the main theme here.

2021-10-19 04:00:23 Its a show of foreboding and dread, since it is hard to know what might happen. Lots of twists and turns on this emotional roller coaster. In someways the fast pacing it there for NOT to catch your breath and then be able to think about all that is happening. Granted it then HITS you harder when you do "stop" for a moment. There are moments when the pacing slows, but then pick right back up. There are cute/endearing moments (between Ash & Eiji) and then there are moments that hit you in the gut which hurt a lot. Just be prepared to be anxious for the rest of the series.

I think that's what I'm so excited about this show -- it's been a LONG time since I've been this on the edge of my seat for any show, much less an anime. I watched Devilman Crybaby last fall, and that was more of "feeling existential dread and despair for 10 episodes" than being anxious...woof. This show is much better I feel in getting you connected to the characters...which just hurts more when you see all the bad stuff they're going through. I'm going to have my blanket and comfort cardigans on for the rest of this show, I feel. XD
