I've been waiting for this episode all week! FYI, perfect timing to watch this episode because it aired a year ago. There are so many good moments in this episode. FYI, in the reaction you missed the reveal in the OP. A Winter's Tale or Fuyu no Hanashi is the title of the song Mafuyu sings and it is the title of the episode (remember all the episodes have song titles). If you go back to the scene on the beach there is an OST in the background it is a version of Fuyu no Hanashi that is called Mafuyu no Hanashi. (https://youtu.be/clQ_lZvKIj8) I love how the author (and even the anime producers) use the seasons in the story. For example Yuki (snow) a story that happened one winter and the Risuka (Summer) a story that happened on summer. There are so many metaphors that can go with the seasons and this story, The dark/cold/lonely Winter and then the warm/bright of summer. The anime aired in the summer of 2019. Then there's Haruki (Spring) and Akihiko (Autumn). The movie was to originally be released in May 2020 (Spring) but was delayed due to Covid. Spring is a time of rebirth/growth and the return to warmth. Autumn the end of things.

Hey! Oh, Is it Yuki's face now visible in the OP!? I just noticed that!! Haha! And thank you -- I was so engulfed in the moment watching that I didn't realize that about the OST...ugh...that whole final scene was so bittersweet and beautiful. Ahhhh, that makes SO MUCH sense about the seasons playing a part in this show and now the movie....oooohhh....it has me so hyped for the movie! ^^

Yes, Yuki is now revealed. The show likes to keep thins under wrap - Mafuyu's voice, the song and Yuki. They did a good job with the slow reveals through out the show. Messaged you some links to the movie trailers and I marked the ones that have spoilers in them so you can avoid them if you want. Also sent you information on all the old Given music and the newly released music. There is so much Given goodness out there right now. Episode 10 is a wild but fun episode.

Yesss, the slow reveals have been SO rewarding this season! And thank you! I haven't gotten a chance to message you back, but I definitely will today! And THANK YOU for marking the spoiler-ones! I ordered the first two volumes of Given, but wanted to wait on the others because I was afraid they'd have spoilers for the movie in them! ^^ I'm so excited to get into the music now! And with two episodes left...I'm really eager to see what they do with Sato and Uenoyama...you know...now that Uenoyama's kind of kissed him and all. ^^

2021-10-19 04:03:24 Yeah, a little of Volume 3, (Chapters 15 and 16 do have movie spoilers. The movie then covers up to about Chapter 28.5 (vol 5). There are a few chapters in Vol 5 that I don't think are in the movie. Unfortunately, I know they cut some scenes from the movie for time. The movie is only 60 minutes, UGH! Volume 6 just got published in Japan and new chapters are released every two months, with one coming out at the end of Sept. The unofficial English translation of the previous chapter was just posted. I've bought all the music, except the OST which you can only get on the DVD release in Japan and I believe those DVDs don't have subtitles. The OST can be found on Youtube as well. Currently, I have all the Given & Centimillimental songs on a loop listening to them. So, much so the choruses randomly pop into my head day or night. Love it but kind of annoying at the same time if you know what I mean. What I love about the new songs is you can tell that Mafuyu is experimenting and evolving musically. Centimillimental and Yano Shougo did a great job in the arrangements and performance of them, which gives the listener a good feel for Mafuyu's growth. All the song hit the feels especially when you see the translations of the lyrics. Each song was written for someone, won't spoil unless you really want me too. Once you've caught up in the anime and manga I'd love to discuss more specifics of both with you.

Ooooh, so much good information to know! I'm glad I just got Volume 1 and 2 so far, then! After I get to watch the movie, I definitely want to get Volumes 3 and 4 (that comes out in November). Of course, the movie leaves out Manga scenes and it's only 60 minutes!? Ahhhh...well, I'll take ANY new Given content over none, right?? Hopefully, we get English subs out on that movie by the time Volume 4 drops. I Wondered why we don't have a DVD/Blu-Ray release on Given in the US yet! That sucks that you can't get the OST without that...hmmmm... Yeah, definitely going to be looking through that Given songlist this week. I'm so excited by the idea of Sato evolving as a musician and I definitely don't want to be spoiled yet! ^^ Yes, we'll definitely have to discuss once I'm caught up!! I'm sure the movie is going to give us all a lot of fuel!
