 Let me say, Episode 3 has my heart and may be my favorite episode so far! It's SO cute and watching Lu Guang "meet the family" - y'all, the Subtext is THERE! I love that episode so much!

Episode 4 is really well done, too, but spoilers for the episode are we re-hashing the same plot as the donghua? Just in live action? If we are...neat...but I'll leave my donghua commentary for that one.

Not a spoiler but my own take--I've been headcannonning/treating the Link Click Live Action as an AU of sorts (a fully alternate timeline?), and not a prequel/parallel to the donghua. Part of my logic on this is that I feel like they are giving away WAY too much in the first few episodes about Lu Guang's past, how the powers work, and other tidbits that would be major spoilers for the donghua in a way that could diminish the impact of the next season, if this were considered part of the official donghua universe. That being said, I also think they may be giving us some pieces of backstory or the characters that may never be hinted or developed in the donghua so we can plug them in as canon if we like...it's hard to say! Again, really happy that you are reacting to this and looking forward to the next few episodes with you : )

I don't think that telling the audience about Lu Guang's powers or their origins would be "giving too much away" for the next season - I think that's the point - they want audiences to watch this and then watch season 3 - now, if people know something from later on in the series that happens, I am BEGGING them not to comment and let me experience the entire season on my own first and then we can talk about it. But for now, I think that this could very well be either a parallel universe, which I'll talk about in future episodes, or could be canon that connects to the next season. We shall see!
