Oh man! This volume had a lot of stuff that is not in the anime in it! We get Sparks, SK, Rickert and the Bakiraka! Lots of stuff to cover! Oh I am with you on the SK, Zodd ship! They go together like peanut butter and jelly! They are a couple in my mind! A couple of what? I don’t know! 🤣 We get to see Erica and Godo in this volume for the first time. To me, this is where Guts, trying to find himself, lets a small family, Godo and his daughter into his life. I love it! And I do want Erica to become a blacksmith like her dad! That would be awesome! I also have to point out, the boob grab didn’t work for Guts either, Casca was pissed as she should be! 🤣 So guys don’t do that! Yes, Miura gets away with drawing the “penis” when he can. He’s an equal opportunity genitalia illustrator . 👍 Romania,” I’m dreading finding out what happens to Rickert!” Me….”meh, he’ll be fine.” So now you know! We have been wanting to spill the beans for soooo long! SK intervened and told the Slug Count and Elf with her insect friends to shove off! Why? Who knows! We even get some lore! The sacrifices we see, the architecture! So many questions! Irl Gaiseric was king of the Vandals and did war with the Roman Empire. Just a tidbit there. Some other dudes armor that looks familiar. She is such a loyal person that even if we know who Griffith is, she is still with him even if he is a broken man. She has such a good heart, I just wish the men in her life… were not trash! She deserves better! Also, the unresolved feelings of both Guts and Casca for Griffith. At this point, I wish they just had a threesome. That may have solved a few things? Maybe? 🤷‍♀️ Maybe not, causality and such……hahahaha! I do want to point out that the female Bakiraka with bared breasts is very reminiscent of the female statues of Khmer. It is a very Hindu goddess pose as she sets her bombs off to destroy the tunnel. Very fitting. Ugh, Wyald! We will continue with filling in the missing pieces that the anime left out. Zodd update! Because of the time change, I was soooo tired! I only got one hoof knitted! 😭 👁️👁️👁️ FEB Spoilers! ⬇️ 👁️👁️👁️ Guts was really pissed! Volume 10: 8! And a flying brain!

On the one hand, I love that we get more character development for Pippin and Judeau, on the other had it's just going to make what's coming more sad. You had some theories about what happened to Rickert after watching the anime, and now you finally find out his fate: he gets rescued by Skeletor who then flies away on his magic horse into the sky. I'm sure it's obvious in retrospect. These reactions make my Saturdays, I'm going to be really sad when it's done, thanks for putting in all this effort!

RIGHT?! The more we get character work with Pippin and Judeau, the more I get attached, and the more I’m realizing how sad it’s going to make it a few volumes from now…I AM happy to find out that Rickert gets rescued! And of COURSE! How did I not see a skeleton-armor-clad knight on a magical flying horse rescuing him!? As a reactor, I’ve failed in my inability to predict such an obvious fate. ;) Thank you for the kind words and comment! I’m glad we have so much to go – I’m not going to be happy when I catch up!
