Outer Sphere has gone a long time, and I'm starting to lose enthusiasm. I could probably continue tossing one out every other day, but lack of engagement on my part makes it difficult to keep the speed and quality high enough.

I gotta tell ya, it's also been rough doing two series at once, and I'm simply having more fun writing WotR for now.

For the sake of keeping my sanity, I'm putting Outer sphere on hiatus and pushing forward with a full schedule of WotR.

Outer Sphere's probably not going to ever have a satisfying end, although I will most likely pick it up to add chapters now and then.

I feel like it's pretty much done it's job as my first webnovel: I've learned a lot, and I think improved a lot (maybe) Since I started it a year ago, and I want more room to try other stories and other ideas, so I'm setting it down.

I apologize if this is terribly disappointing, and hope you're engaged enough to stick around for WotR and whatever else comes down the pipe.

While it's disappointing, I very much appreciate that you let everyone know. Thanks, and thanks for all your work!

Landsraad

Thanks for the work! Too bad we'll never see Garth control the multiverse with drugs

Chad B. Sonnen

I became a Patreon because of Outer Sphere but I came to find out that WotR is far more superior in it's pacing when chapters of it started to get pumped out. I also lost interest when Harold died and Garth's brother was killed so quickly and lamely as well as leaving Earth to rush through the cosmos. I support this decision.

Seadrake

It ok. After you killed Garth and brought him back, you brought him out into this huge space far to large for him to fight quickly, with enemies far too powerful to fight directly. Garth isn't a power leveling maniac, "exponential growth is awesome". You should end the clone wars and set up for a time skip, for when you do want to write again. Any real and significant growth is going to come at the cost of time and monotiny, so I'm almost excited for a time skip. Even if we get an extended to permanent hiatus. It would be cool to eventually see him again though

The Human

I think you're spot on. As Chad said, I came for OS, and originally found WotR a distraction for that, but the two have definitely changed place in my heart. I still enjoy OS, but WotR os definitely what I'm more excited to see an update of.

Thanks for letting us know! You did a great job on sticking to it while you did.

Wotr is definitely my favourite of the 2

The practice from OS definitely shows it in WotR. Will you still release the remaining chapters of OS on RR? And will the qued chapters continue to become available for lower tier patrons here?

Macronomicon

yessir, i just put out two new chapters on royalroad, and am currently opening them up as we speak. although give it a minute. PAtreon is slow sometimes

Chris

Take a break, writing 2 different stories at a time is too much IMO so going on hiatus for OS is fine.

Whilst disappointing it’s understandable, I’ve definitely started noticing the lack of enthusiasm with OS lately and honestly I can’t be all that sad because this just means more WOTR which is really interesting and I think has a lot of potential. Can’t wait to see what’s next and possibly what other stories you’ve got in store for us in the future. Might be worth revisiting OS at some point to give it some kind of conclusion, honestly it’s publishable and it’d be something to consider.

LordDark

I still enjoy outer sphere, but ive really lost interest in it there is too much jumping around and real overarching plot. With WotR I suggest you introduce a home base sooner than later to set up a consistent landscape for most of the story to take place in. And dont feel the need to rush to OP the current pace is great.

Charles handgis

That’s a bummer, I truely enjoyed the outer spheres and it’s the story I pledged for. I have also enjoyed wotr and will be sticking around for it. Please no 800 year time skips in this one tho, unless you feel they are necessary.

Thank you. I’ve tried getting into Outer sphere 3 different times and haven’t been able to do it. WOTR is my favorite ongoing Webnovel. So there’s at least 1 person happy to read this announcement.

As my Lizard brain is activated I'v DTF for anything give me sex violence and a good joke now and then and I'll be happy enough

I am more or less happy with this I started with WotR and then read OS because it was by the same author. Like a lot of people I got really mad when it changed pace at chapter 100, but I got back into it eventually. If possible I my preference would be that you finish up the current Clone Wars arc and set it up for a time skip, then come back whenever you feel like you have a story you want to tell with it.

Can someone with the tier to read all released chapters tell me what chapter the story is up to now? I wanna know how many chapters I'll be able to read if I drop the $10 for it

Talen Drake

Well it was a good run. Message me if you start back seriously

Aw crap. I finally had a bit more coin to throw your way, and then just came to this. Please write what you will, but I’ve tried twice with WOTR, and I’m just not interested. I was buying in 100% for Outer Sphere, so I suppose I should just mozy on back away. All the best though, and if you pick up a 3rd project, I’d be interested in giving it a run.

Adrian Gorgey

I'm a huge fan of WOTR! I joined up in this latest update spree, and I can't wait for what comes next. You should write what is enjoyable to you!
