Holding items (Patreon)

Hey everyone,
So got the new item holding system in and working.
So basically as you can see here you can now hold any item in the game. I have a special 3D model that uses the texture of the icon to create a little item in your hands when you hold it.
If you have been following the previous post obviously this has a functional use beyond just physically holding the item. The most important change is that the character you talk with can understand what item you are holding to perform a unique task or piece of code or dialogue option.
Handing a piece of specific clothing to character so you can give or dress them in that item was the most obvious use.
Obviously as previously mentioned this adds a bunch of potential complexity to character interactions so I'm not going to be using this idea for every character or event in the game but specific things like handing items to a character and what have you I think will be a good way to go.
So with this feature working I want to create some new control code and nodes so I can have characters react to the type of clothes. Like obviously I think giving a big character a baby item they should comment that it isn't their style or something.
I'm also going to jump back onto putting together templates. I have a new idea I want to prototype and experiment with. I'm not sure if it will work but I want to create a better way of linking templates / making elements more re-usable. I'm not sure but at the moment writing and creating this stuff still takes way to long. I need a better more robust system for this.
I'm going to just sit down create some prototypes and just experiment with a way of more dynamic templates. They might be a little more generic but less difficult to edit.
