Motion Capture System: Upgraded! (Patreon)

This isn't a fun flashy post with cute pics and fun video, but it's one of the most exciting updates to ViRo Playspace we've had in a long time. 

With the help of you and all the fans of Vex Ruby and ViRo Playspace, we were able to upgrade our motion capture system! We're hard at work installing all of the new hardware and testing the new software, but this update is a big dang deal.

The new MoCap system allows for more dynamic poses, more granular tracking (especially improving on smaller things like hands and fingers), and frankly unlocks the ability to both capture and livestream a wealth of new nuanced performances.

It also makes the backend process a lot easier and more accessible, which means we'll be able to create more content faster, because it won't require as many people in the studio to create and polish a capture.

While this specific update might not be about sexy naughty bits, it is one of the sexiest upgrades to our production we've been working towards. The end result will be better motion capture, faster production time, and broader content creation opportunities.
