We hope you had an excellent Star Wars day yesterday and a lovely Cinco de Mayo today. To celebrate May the 4th (be with you) yesterday, the devs surprised Vex Ruby by turning her Biggus Dickus into a lightsaber. Here is a video of Vex discovering the update for the first time.

We wanted to give our thanks to you, because it is with your help and support that we are able to update our studio today with a quiet but powerful air conditioning unit. Our motion capture studio utilizes a full array of cameras to capture character movements for Vex Ruby and the rest of the characters in ViRo Playspace. Unfortunately, between the changing seasons, the toasty motion capture suit, and the heat generated from all the hardware, it can get very hot in there.

That’s not just bad for the performer in the suit (though their comfort is important to us), it also impacts the capture quality. Our tracking equipment uses sub millimeter precision, so temperature fluctuations can cause issues.

So thank you again for your ongoing support. You’ve helped us keep Vex more comfortable during her streams while increasing the overall quality of the motion capture. We couldn’t do it without you.
