Captain America's weapon of choice is his iconic shield! He is so incredibly skilled with it that he can throw it, bounce it off multiple surfaces and enemies, and then have it almost magically return to him. But how does Captain America's shield always seem to come back to him? The simple answer here is that Cap knows his shield so intimately that he can predict how it will react when thrown at different angles, speeds, and distances. He also has the mental capacity to calculate trajectories on the fly. However, this was not always the case. In the early 60s, Iron Man gave Cap's shield a high-tech upgrade complete with a magnetic glove that would allow Cap to throw his shield, have it do all sorts of maneuvers, and then have it return to him. And it looks like Avengers: Age of Ultron might be borrowing from that! Tie-Ins are quick and snappy videos that take a look at some fun facts and concepts surrounding comics!
