Superman is arguably the world's most iconic and recognizable comic book superhero, and now he's gained a new power! The Super Flare expels all the solar energy he's stored up in his cells in one MASSIVE explosion! Could this new ability mark a baseline shift for Superman? We might all be used to a Superman who can fly and shoot heat vision from his eyes, but he wasn't always that way. He has changed a lot from his first appearance in Action Comics #1 from 1938. He's not only gained many new powers over the years, but has also gone through several new costume changes until arriving at the classic Superman look we know today. Will the Super Flare be the next thing to permanently change the status quo of the Man of Steel, or will it simply be written away and the character restored back to the way he was before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
