Deadpool and Deathstroke may seem like very similar characters, but was Marvel's Merc with a Mouth truly a shameless rip-off from DC's Deathstroke? Did Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza intentionally set out to make a carbon copy of Slade Wilson when they created Wade Wilson? Or is it possible that the whole thing was a crazy coincidence and Deadpool's likeness to Deathstroke is completely unrelated or perhaps even subconscious? It would be fun is Deadpool is the multiverse's "antibody" to the smug seriousness of Deathstroke -- a comedic Sentry to the latter's Void.
