Hello. Here is another map from Batman Arkham Knight, but unfortunately it is not ready. Too much time is spent simply searching for models that are in this map, then you need to change their size, because... all maps in UE3/4 use model scaling on all three axes, and in SE you need to make a separate model for each such situation, I can’t just scale the model to fit it.

It all starts with me taking four 3D shots (a simple rip of the scene). I assemble a whole scene from them, sort out repeating models, remove excess garbage (this takes at least two full days).

I mainly use RIP only to see where the models are located and their sizes; I assemble the map itself from the original models

Next, the search for original models begins, because... what comes out of the rip is 99% broken meshes. Models can be in the archive-map itself, or in completely different archives, even in something common like startup.upk

I simply type in various names one by one to find these models, or I just sit and press one button, scrolling through 100+ models and visually searching for the one I need, this is very tiring and takes a lot of time.

Also, quite often umodel and other programs that I use may not display the textures needed for the model, a similar search begins for textures, and there you need diffuse, specular and bump, there may be some other glow masks, for example, or transparency.

As a result, there are, for example, more than 200 models on the map, imagine how much time is spent simply searching and selecting the size. And for each model you need to make a collision, register the material, weight, property (metal, wood, etc.).

I don’t do almost any of this in the case of gtav, I can get a ready-made scene with all the models and textures in 3ds max in 1-2 days, all I can do is sit monotonously and adapt them for the Source Engine.

In general, this is NOT a READY map, it is a beta. I'll probably finish it next month or August. I see that many people voted for offices, I’d rather make one full-fledged map than have a micro map again and so on.

The map works for Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker. No additional action is required. For SFM, do not forget to enable "Other entities" because there are a large number of dynamic models on the map
