Yep, This was g.o.d.’s debut song in 1999. Fun fact 2Pac has songwriting credits on this song because of the sample from “Life Goes On”.

I'm with Dame and Bang Bang on this one. These type of r&b/rap songs are my favorite. They're Legends in the k-pop industry and known for their story telling lyrics. Another fun fact... the one with the lower voice was Yamcha in the DragonBall Evolution live action movie.

i gotta semi disagree with the 'aggressive for no reason' comment just a bit. like i get it with the tone and stuff mostly being sentimental, but i feel there is very much reason for that aggression too even tho perhaps yeh it doesn't come of perfectly matched. however, with the lyrics and stuff there is alot of anger, and also frustration. there is anger in the memory of itself that he got teased for being poor and he's angry that he was embarassed about it and he's angry at the people teasing him and he's angry at himself for not being able to hold back and punching the rich kid. then he's angry at the situation, his mother had to work herself to death because of their financial situation, then she had to leave work to come to the school and bow down and beg to the rich kid parents, so they wouldn't sue or get him kicked out of school etc. so he's angry that his mom had to humilate herself like that and also take time off work costing them money. but i also semi agree a bit that yeh its a bit disconnected, cuz although its justified it does visually mismatch a bit because it doesn't really portray the complexity well.
