Loved the reaction gents. It is weird because I watched those performances a few times but didn't actually hear some of the audio issues I heard through your system - especially the Viviz performance. Also, not sure if you know this by now but since Brave Girls had placed last in the previous round (and low in other rounds) there was a real fear they would be kicked off the show after this performance and not make it to the final round (as part of the rules). It definitely played into the way that people voted.

Ok.. Cool! Just as a heads up. MNET has yet to release full performance vids of the finale performances. They've released full cams of the the dress rehearsals, but they really don't do justice to the actual live stages. Fans have released the actual live stages, so I suggest looking at them for your reaction, unless MNET defies all our expectations and releases the live performances.

The difference between Hyolyn and newer idols... She has experiences that even 6 year idols don't have. But there are also just way more idols debuting than even a year ago. If only .001% trainees manage to debut now, .00001% of idols debuted when Hyolyn was training. And every year only the best of the best [or the luckiest] stay in the industry at all. The girl in the uniform dancing with Hyolyn at the end is a real fan. A real high schooler who is dancing because Hyolyn inspired her. There were international fans who voted in this. It wasn't just live, in-person Koreans voting. I love Hyolyn and was rooting for her, but I'm just not a big fan of Bae as a song so I didn't rank her super high either.

I agree with Bang Bang with WJSN #1, just ahead of Hyolyn on this performance. Especially seeing what they went through to perform it on the episode. I'd like to say I still have WJSN Pantomime first purely from the performance too, but it's hard not to be effected in any way from the show. Brave Girl first makes sense from their perspective, you'd have to watch the show to understand better. The mindset thing I appreciate that you appreciate the effect of East vs West, but this is more just their knowledge of the group's struggles, the history, etc. I wouldn't really classifying it as a philosophical nuance, more just a localized. You've seen the "Rollin" resurgence, but you weren't in Korea experiencing this "failed girl group" get a chance to taste success. I'm not saying to rewatch the whole show for the episodes, that would be too much time and you're already spoiled on the results. But maybe for the next survival show you could try it, the interactions and behind the scenes training is as entertaining as the stages themselves.
