As for the group itself, they debuted in 2014, with 5 members, under Yuehua entertainment, a chinese company that promotes both in China and in South Korea. Everglow is also under Yuehua. They have three chinese and two korean members. They haven't promoted as a group in a while, but each member is doing their own thing. The youngest, Yibo, is a very successful actor in China. I would love to see them all together again for a comeback or something.

UNIQ could've had a successful career in SK but when they had their Chinese debut, they eventually became really big there. People said their popularity was on a similar level as Exo-M which was a big deal since Exo-M was massive too. I think their company had them stay in China because of China's ban on South Korean media at the time. When they went on hiatus, each member except Sungjoo went to participate individually in a survival show similar to Produce 101. Yibo gained popularity while being on the show but had to quit due to health. For everyone else, on every survival show, every member won and was placed in the top 10, therefore they each joined a temporary group. I think everyone will officially end their contracts with their temp group sometime this year or next year. I really miss UNIQ being together and the boys miss performing together too.
