I love Mino. For a lot of reasons, including his music and his personality, but also because he's one of the reasons I will defend YG time and time again. He's the prime example of what can happen when you let your artists take artistic control, and YG is good at doing that. Fans might get mad because there's not a lot of output but at the very least you can trust the music to be great. Love this whole album, especially the collaborations and the brassy notes in a few on his songs. It feels like natural progression from his debut album, but I still feel like I'll reach more for the first one because it's more my type of style musically. Haven't listened to this album in its entirety since it first came out, so this was a good re-introduction! My favorites are click and pow for sure.

YGE has a varied amount of producers in house. For this album we had the usual suspects of Choice 37, Hae, Airplay, Diggy, Kang Uk Jin, Future Bounce, and of course Mino produced a few of the songs on the album. The only name I was not familiar with was Ian Purp.

Thanks for checking out the album! Mino's production is TIGHT and I'm glad he got the opportunity to collaborate with artistes and producers outside the YG circle. One of my favourite projects this year, a literal NO-SKIP album. This one felt a bit more experimental but apparently he stated that his next project will be more traditional hip-hop, can't wait for that one! Would love it if you could check out his previous album XX too, it's a masterpiece in it's own right.
