Being able to see them at the Chicago fan meet and Dallas Concert I was in actual tears both times!!

I don't know how I would have taken it if SHINee had decided to call it quits. No one would have blamed them. They had a 10 year contract that was ending, they could have easily said this is the end of an era and let it expire. But they picked themselves up and continued with their prescheduled tour in Japan in February, started their comeback stages in May, and renewed their contracts with SM. They honored Jonghyun every step of the way. I can't image them handling the situation with more respect or professionalism. As much as I miss Jonghyun being with them- I really needed SHINee to continue. I'm sure they felt the same way. Just them together makes me feel like a part of him is still here and being carried with Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. I imagine the decision to continue forward was difficult as well. Here is a translation of Onew's letter to fans about continuing: "Hello this is SHINee's Onew. I'm not sure what to say first. I'm thankful that you have been able to protect and care for our members, and I love you so much, I apologize about worrying you. I'm sorry to have troubled fans. I never thought this would occur, that we would be able to perform again. However, Jonghyun's mom told us to keep going, and I think the best way to help someone who was longing in pain would be for us to provide comfort to them. I will work much harder even though I come short [in many ways]. Even though I do lack, I want to do my very best for SHINee. Even if the path is difficult, I will work my hardest. Jonghyun will be a SHINee member for eternity, in our hearts. In the hearts of our fans. Nothing will change. I will continue to work as SHINee. Thank you." The fans singing with SHINee will forever be my favorite. SHINee said that concerts aren't complete if it is just the members singing, it has to be a duet between SHINee and Shawols. And these fans were on point.

Wow. Just knowing that they received blessings from his mother is really something. Streetnoise sent me a clip of a scene that was missing from this episode. It featured Onew singing Selene 6.23 and the video screen behind them displaying Jonghyun. It gave me chills...good chills though. And when Onew said “...the five of us...will continue to perform happily.”, I cannot lie...it moved me. A sense of admiration and compassion between artists and fans that you don’t see often. It was really touching. - Ace
