I'm pretty sure someone in the comment section mention the Planet Rock sample, because yeah that's what DJ was going for. I think maybe Ace feels some kind of visual pollution with this type of videos (Shalala, Spicy -which you kinda enjoyed more when played on It's Live- etc). I guess that's why many people react to the audio first and then they switch to the MV and lyrics.

That happens to me a lot I get overwhelmed with trying to understand the video, seeing all these different colors and lights flashing in a span of 3/4 minutes, the different transitions and camera tricks while also trying to listen to the song. Like you said I’ll focus on one or the other the 1st time and 2nd listen I watch it together.
