Chapter 37 – The Tower Besieged by Dragons

“I’m going to get Erza.” Natsu spoke firmly and in a tone that brooked no argument. None of his mates questioned his words, how could they when the Magma Dragon Slayer was quite literally about to erupt.

“What’s that?” Lisanna questioned, pointing to something rapidly approaching their group.

“Hoo-hoo!” A large man with two rockets on his back blitzed towards the Dragon Slayers. The man had an owl’s head, and his arms were covered in feathers to create pseudo wings. Other than that, he was bare-chested and wore only shorts and a pair of sneakers. The Dragon Slayers all moved out of the way as the owl-headed man swoop low before landing. “The Justice Knight, Fukuro, has come!” The man pointed at the intruders.

“Fukuro?” Mira tilted her head, wondering why that name sounded vaguely familiar.

A loud riff of an electric guitar rang out, making a few of the Dragon Slayers grimace at the volume. The man playing the instrument was head-banging, whipping around a long mane of black hair wildly in the process.

“Loud!” Lucy complained, covering her ears from the noise.

“Juvia thinks he has some skill with the guitar.” Juvia remarked, used to such music from Gajeel’s own musical hobby. Lucy could only deadpan at Juvia’s comment.

“Hey! You!” Vidaldus swung his hair around. “Fuckin’ gals!” He stared at the women with a wide grin. “This is one hell of a concert! Tower destroyed! Ow!” He stuck out his long tongue while his fingers continued to move up and down the frets.

“Who the hell is this guy supposed to be?” Cana didn’t look amused by the loud rocker.

“The Assassin’s Guild, Death’s Head Caucus!” Vidaldus introduced with a wicked smile. “Dig it?! That’s a skull! Doesn’t that name just kill you?!” He threw his head back, his long hair flying behind him. “I’m one wing of the Trinity Raven! When they scream ‘Vidaldus Taka’ they’re talking about me!” He hit a power chord, the loud sound blaring out across the area. “Rock you!”

CRAKTWANG

Vidaldus’s electric guitar shattered as a small ball of off-white Magic hit it at speed. The assassin gaped as his Magical Focus fell to shattered pieces at his feet.

“Now I remember who you are.” Cana’s hand was raised, her Crash Magic having been what destroyed Vidaldus’s guitar. “A bunch of murderers from the Assassin’s Guild. One of the darkest Mage Guilds out there. You all stopped taking on any requests except assassinations.”

“Trinity Raven…” Lisanna grimaced as if the name left a bad taste in her mouth.

“Supposedly, during the Cabria War, the three of them alone murdered all of the commissioned officers in the western army.” Happy, still in his giant form, laid out what the team known as Trinity Raven had done in the past.

“Hoo-hoo! Evil must be destroyed.” Fukuro hooted, not perturbed in the slightest about the loss of Vidaldus’s guitar. “Salamander! Your evil name is known to us in the guild.” He took up a fighting stance. “Today, the Justice Knight will bury your evil deep!”

“A guild is a gathering place for people’s trust and dreams.” Natsu’s body began to emit flames as he glared at the two assassins. “It’s no place for taking on rotten jobs.”

“Committing murder for money.” Lisanna stepped forward, the ground under her feet hissing and smoking from the sheer heat the Fire Dragon Slayer was already emitting. “I can’t stand that kind of business. I don’t even like that there are clients for jobs like that! And I really hate that you still call a place like that a ‘Guild’!”

“Ah, this one is quite opiniated.” A woman spoke up as she approached the group from Trinity Raven’s side. She had long, bright pink hair which was tied on top of her head in two large buns. She possessed a curvaceous figure, peach skin, a beauty mark underneath each eye and wore red lipstick. “I am called Ikaruga, the Dove. Appropriate, don’t you think?” Ikaruga was clad in a long, slightly loose white kimono with a red and black striped obi around her waist that was adorned with a horned skull and was decorated by flame and skull motifs. The kimono was open at the top to reveal her shoulders and a fair amount of cleavage. Her guild insignia was incorporated into her kimono, seen at the end of both of the sleeves. Ikaruga also had ribbons tied around the sleeves, a buckled strap around her neck and traditional sandals with extremely high platforms soles on her feet.

“A swordswoman, huh?” Mira noticed the sword that Ikaruga carried with her. It was a long sword of the Far East, called a nodachi.

“There is nothing that I cannot cut.” Ikaruga looked at Mirajane with a small little grin on her lips.

“So, you say.” Mira flexed her Magic Power for a brief instant sending a small pressure wave towards the pink-haired woman.

“Kill the intruders!” A large group of Dark Mages were rushing towards the area where Trinity Raven and the Dragon Slayers were having their stare down.

“Juvia will handle the riffraff.” Juvia spoke calmly, her face blank as she moved between her friends and the horde of approaching Mages. The sea suddenly lurched forward, and a wave blasted the Dark Mages backwards across the rocky shoreline.

“Hack…koff…what the hell was that?!” A Dark Mage, obviously some kind of leader given his nicer robes and staff, coughed up water from being swept away.

“You will all be facing Juvia now.” Juvia spoke to the ragtag group of men. “Drip, drip, drop.”

“You think you can take us all on?!” One Dark Mage demanded as his hand sparked with lightning.

“Water Lock.” Juvia cast and the mouthy man found himself submerged in a sphere of water. His Lightning Magic misfiring and shocking himself from the sudden dunking. He floated unconscious in the water until, with a wave of Juvia’s hand, the Water Lock dispersed and threw the man aside, into a few of the other soaked Dark Mages.

“Don’t falter! We outnumber her!” The lead Dark Mage rallied the others to attack Juvia.

“Outnumber? Yes.” Juvia agreed even as the sea roiled under her power and a massive wave crashed over the shore. “But you all are far outmatched.” A few dozen average to middling Mages were nothing before Juvia, an S Class Mage that had enough Magic Power to affect the literal weather just by her presence alone. “Water Cyclone!” The massive wave twisted into a powerful vortex of water that tore up the shore as it barreled through everything, and everyone, in its path. The Dark Mages barely had a chance to scream before they were engulfed.

“Jet Hoo-hoo-hoo!” Fukuro blasted forward with his rockets, aiming to land a punch against Natsu.

“Fire Dragon’s Talons!” Lisanna disabused him of that notion as she slid under the man and her blazing foot slammed into his stomach. Even the short contact left the flesh of Fukuro’s bare chest red and blistered.

“Hoo hoo hoo!” Fukuro cried out in pain as he was knocked off his flight path and nearly slammed into the ground before he cut off the power to his rockets. He stumbled on the ground before getting his feet under him again.

“Natsu’s going to get Erza.” Lisanna’s entire body flared with a cloak of flames. “You’re fighting me.” Her slitted blue eyes glared a hole into the assassin.

“Thank you, Lisanna.” Natsu smiled at his Mate before blasting upwards in a massive fireball. The Magma Dragon Slayer headed for the top of the split tower like a meteor.

“Alright, bitch!” Vidaldus pointed at Cana, his long black hair lashing around, leaving furrows in the rocky ground where they hit. “I’m gonna pay you back for wrecking my guitar!”

“I doubt that.” Cana let alcohol start dripping from her fingers to form a bubble around her fists.

“Oh?” Vidaldus cackled at seeing her Magic. “You use liquid Magic too? Hehehe! Bad news, girlie! My hair can absorb any liquid and negate it!” He sent his hair at Cana like a whip. “I’m your worst match up! A little water just gets rid of the bed head!” Vidaldus declared, thinking he had the advantage.

“How do you feel about alcohol?” Cana questioned as the bubbles around her fists formed into the shape of dragon claws. She sidestepped the first bit of lashing hair, backstepped from the second that swung horizontally, and ducked beneath the one that went for her head.

“I never use alcohol or oil on my hair! They ruin the luster!” Vidaldus laughed, his long black hair shining a little as if reacting to his words.

“Then you’re going hate me.” Cana had a savage grin on her lips, baring her fangs at the rocker. “Booze Dragon’s Claw!” Cana swatted away the lashing tendrils of hair with force, her spell soaked up by the magical locks.

“Booze?” Vidaldus questioned, only to notice his hair lose the shine he was so proud of. “You bitch! First my guitar and now my hair?! I’ll send you straight to hell!”

“Booze Dragon’s Roar!” Cana bellowed and a massive spiraling cone of pure alcohol crashed into Vidaldus.

“No, no, noooo!” Vidaldus howled as his hair soaked up the alcohol. The natural oils stripped away, leaving his hair frail, dry, and brittle.

“Something tells me you aren’t much without your guitar.” Cana shocked Vidaldus by rushing him. “Booze Dragon’s Intoxicating Claws!” The claws of alcohol were once more surrounding Cana’s hands, only this time they were larger, and a haze wafted off the liquid.

“Gah!” Vidaldus cried out in pain as Cana slashed him across the chest. The open wounds were instantly alight with screaming agony as the alcohol flooded them. The assassin hit the ground and rolled, his whole body screaming at him. “Fuck!”

“Booze Dragon’s Talon!” Cana dropped an axe kick onto Vidaldus’s back, a loud crack being heard as the rocker’s body crated the ground beneath him.

“Hakgh!” Vidaldus nearly vomited from the force of the blow. His mind was awash with pain, and agony was lancing through his veins. “Wha…what…the fuck?” He tried to move, noticing that his skin was turning red unnaturally fast.

“Pure alcohol is toxic as hell to the body.” Cana mentioned, standing over the downed man without remorse. “And you keep breathing it in…so it’s destroying your lungs too.”

“Huaahhgggrrhhh!” Vidaldus vomited and was horrified to see blood mixed with his bile. His head was getting fuzzy, and his vision was swimming. “D-Don’t…kill…me…” He tried to move, but his body was refusing to listen. It was only now that he noticed that surrounding Cana was a nearly transparent vapor, like a thin mist, and it was all around them.

“How many people begged you for the same thing?” Cana questioned the assassin. “And how many of them did you spare?”

Vidaldus couldn’t answer as his bloodshot eyes began to bleed and his head dropped to the rocky ground. The Dark Mage’s skin was a bright red now and his veins and arteries were grossly distended and visible from beneath his inflamed skin. Pure alcohol was wreaking absolute hell on his organs and blood now and Cana walked away from the dying man.

“Never touch my family, you murdering bastards.” Cana growled out as she looked to see if anyone needed her help.

“Hoo-hoo! I’d say it’s about time to bring the Iron Hammer of Justice down upon your head!” Fukuro declared as his rockets flared to life again. “Missile Hoo-Ho-Hoo!” The twin rockets were launched off Fukuro’s back towards Lisanna.

“Fire Dragon’s Wing Attack!” Lisanna didn’t bother dodging, knowing that the assassin could remotely control the rockets just based on how he’d used them so far. Her arms burst into twin infernos as she waved them around and then brought both down onto the rapidly approaching rockets in a dual chop.

BOOM

The rockets exploded, sending shrapnel flying away from the point of destruction. Lisanna wasted no time and launched herself through the cloud of smoke with a roar, flames from her feet blasting her forward.

“Hoo-hoo?!” Fukuro exclaimed, even his owl face able to expression shock at what had just happened. He put up his guard and prepared his next move. ‘If I can swallow her, then I’ll gain all of her power and Magic! The rest of the job will be easy after that!’ Fukuro opened his beak, readying to widened it to immense proportions to swallow up Lisanna the instant she was close enough.

“Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Crimson Lotus!” Lisanna’s Magic Power suddenly spiked. The sheer increase made Fukuro nearly shriek in fear. “Exploding Flame Blade!” Lisanna waved her arms into a wide circle before bringing both hands together to cross the blazes that covered them.

As soon as the two flames met, it was like a spark to a powder keg. Explosion after explosion filled the spreading flames. The conflagration of blasts tore apart the area Fukuro was standing in, engulfing the owl-headed assassin before he could move to get away. The explosions seemingly built upon each other, over and over again, each blast becoming stronger and stronger as the spell carried the torched Fukuro further and further away from the sheer force.

“HOO-HOO-HAAARRRGGGHHH!!!” Fukuro’s owl hoots turned into a horrendous cry of agony before going silent as the spell blew apart a section of the building surrounding the base of the Tower of Heaven.

“I don’t have any sympathy for a person that would make a business out of murder.” Lisanna hissed out, staring at the blaze that had taken over the buildings that she’d blasted the Dark Mage into. Only the fact that most of the building were stone kept the entire area from becoming an inferno as the flames consumed everything else.

“Looks like your fellow murderers lost.” Mira clashed with Ikaruga, her Wood Dragon Slayer Magic coating her body in writhing wood, leaves, and vines. “Forest Dragon’s Roar!” The twister of leaves, wood, and other forest particles blasted the swordswoman at point blank range.

“Hmph!” Ikaruga sliced the spell in two easily and leapt backwards to make distance. “You will not find me so easy, ‘She-Devil’.” The swordswoman mocked Mira’s epithet. “Your current Magic seems to be hampered by this lifeless island of rock.” She slashed the air and Mira raised her wood-covered left arm to smack the magical slash away. Only a single cut was made on the dragon claw gauntlet, and it wasn’t very deep.

“You’d think so…” Mira growled at Ikaruga. “But my instincts are roaring at me to end you…so that’s what I’ll do!” The wood around her body stabbed into the rocky ground and a spiderweb of cracks spread out from her position. “For someone that claims to be able to cut anything, I’m not impressed. Your Sword Magic makes you entirely reliant on that blade and completing your swings.” Mira would know how sword-based Magics worked. Erza had dozens of Magic Weapons in her Requip armory.

“It would seem that I’ll have to show you the folly of your thoughts.” Ikaruga sheathed her nodachi and entered a drawing stance. “Yasha’s Empty Flash!” She drew her sword in a blur. A tree burst from the ground into the path of the swing, but Ikaruga paid it no mind, her sword didn’t even need to touch the target for this spell to cleave them in twain. “Huh?!” Her eye widened in shock when her swing stopped halfway.

“Like I said, you have to complete your swing.” Mira’s Magic Power continued to rise as the tree that was in the path of Ikaruga’s sword was easily split, but the assassin wasn’t making any progress beyond that as the same tree continued to grow at the exact speed of her swing. The two halves that were split by the sword were getting longer and longer, but the spell couldn’t complete as her swing had all but stalled out.

“How?!” Ikaruga leapt away, demonstrating some rather impressive footwork as she avoided more and more trees and their grasping limbs.  A veritable forest was growing out of the rocky ground to try and grab her. “Even with excessive Magic Power, you shouldn’t be able to grow this much on lifeless ground!” The trees should require a basis of water at the very least!

“Never heard of Mangroves before?” Mira sent her expanding forest after the assassin. Ikaruga could slice all she wanted, the Magic Power difference between an experienced S Class Mage like Mira and whatever Ikaruga’s level was, would see the Dark Mage losing the battle of attrition. “They drink seawater and deposit salt on their leaves to keep bugs away.”

“Garuda Flame!” Ikaruga revealed another spell, her sword bursting into flame as she swung it and not only slashed through the incoming trees but ignited them simultaneously. “If I cannot just cut them, then I’ll burn them instead.”

“Forest Dragon’s Bramble Thicket!” Mirajane’s Magic Power pulsed and the ground rumbled. With a burst of stone and dust flying into the air, thousands upon thousands of large vines tore out of the earth. Each woody vine was covered in sharp thorns that were at least ten centimeters long.

“Yasha’s Empty Flash!” Ikaruga countered, swiftly slashing all of the vines around her, but this only prompted more to grow. The crawling vines continuously tried to wrap around her feet, arms, and even her sword as it flashed from one slash to the next. Eventually the true nature of Mira’s spell was revealed as Ikaruga found herself in a thick dome of the writhing brambles. “Garuda Fla-!” She went for her fire attack, only for the entire dome to close in all at once, the previous ten-centimeter thorns all suddenly lengthening into thirty-centimeter daggers. The Dark Mage was given the Iron Maiden treatment, but less torturous, as the sheer number of impalements ended her life instantly.

“You got what you deserved.” Mira turned away from the mass of mangroves and the dome of wickedly spiked brambles. Those that killed others should one day expect to be killed themselves. Mira wouldn’t lose any sleep over putting down an assassin.

“Celestial Dragon’s Wing Attack!” Lucy swung her arms forward and the scattered beams of light blasted across the horde of incoming Dark Mages. She didn’t understand why so many of them were still rushing their position, especially not after the spells that her Dragon Sisters and Juvia had already unleashed. It was like they were all fanatics or something.

“Light Swords!” A Dark Mage sent three swords of glowing yellow light at Lucy. “EH?!” Only to cry out in shock when Lucy caught one in each hand and then caught the third one with her teeth.

“Thanks for the meal.” Lucy swallowed the light sword easily, small motes of light disappearing into her mouth. The next two swords went the same way as Lucy felt her Magic reserves refill a bit.

“Don’t let them any closer! We’re going to achieve true power in the new world!” Another Dark Mage leader called out, spurring on the crowd of enemies.

“Celestial Dragon’s Talons!” Lucy kicked the next Dark Mage across the face, sending him rag dolling into the ground. “Celestial Dragon’s Roar!” The blast of light and space tore through the rushing Dark Mages before exploding and sending several of them flying into the air.

“Bitch!” A Dark Mage launched a spell at her from the side. “Acid Arrow!”

Lucy backstepped to avoid the acid spell, seeing it hiss against the stones on the ground after splattering on them. She moved in, dodging two more hastily fired Acid Arrows, before the Dark Mage tried to scramble backwards to make distance. “Celestial Dragon’s Bright Fist!” Lucy punched the Dark Mage straight in the face, sending him slamming to the ground unconscious.

“You little whore! Wind Shear!” The leader Dark Mage swiped his staff through the air and an almost invisible wave of wind shot towards Lucy.

“Ow!” Lucy hissed out as small cuts were left across her skin, the natural resilience of a Dragon Slayer lessening the damage she took from the spell. She felt the cooler air on her chest and quickly wrapped her left arm over her tits. “Celestial Dragon’s Roar!” The beam blasted the Dark Mage leader, carried him several meters and then exploded with a shockwave, scattering another half dozen Mages at least. “You fucking asshole!” Lucy roared at the smoking crater as she kept her breasts covered with her arm. Only Natsu was allowed to look at her girls! She’d make sure to buy some more durable clothing once they got back to Magnolia. “Open! Gate of the Maiden! Virgo!” Lucy picked Virgo’s key from her key ring and summoned the Celestial Spirit.

“I am here, princess.” Virgo bowed, wearing her typical maid uniform.

“Virgo, can you get me a shirt or something, please?” Lucy requested of the Celestial Spirit politely.

“Of course, princess.” Virgo nodded and in a glow of light a shirt appeared in her hands. It was a flowing garment with spaghetti straps and a deep green color. Woven into it was a golden design with blue accents. Lucy quickly slipped it on and would admire it more later once the battle was over. “Shall I assist you?” Virgo asked, looking at the Dark Mages that were only now getting their bearings back after the loss of their leader.

“I’d appreciate it!” Lucy smile at the maid. “Can you bring some of the seawater over here too?”

“Of course, not a problem, princess.” Virgo shot downward, straight through the rock and earth.

“Get the blonde bitch!”

“Take her hostage!”

“Capture her!”

“Like hell!” Lucy snarled, her instincts still running high from this whole damn situation.

CRACK

“Huh?” The Dark Mages only had a fraction of a second to look down and see the ground below them shatter like glass. “AAAAAHHHHH!!!” The group fell three meters into a large hole and crashed down roughly.

“Great job, Virgo!” Lucy grinned at the spirit’s work. Seawater flowed down a long fissure in the stone connected to the new hole in the island. “Open!” Gate of the Water Bearer! Aquarius!” Lucy grabbed the key of the most powerful Celestial Spirit that she was contracted to and stuck the end into the flowing water. The water burst upwards with a golden glow as Aquarius appeared.

Aquarius resembled a royal blue mermaid. She had a long, blue fish tail, light blue hair that reached her waist, and a large bust. She had blue eyes that seemed to lack pupils. Aquarius wore a revealing dark blue bikini top, and on each of her arms she had a golden armlet and bracelet. Aquarius also wore a circlet, had three piercings on her tail, and a golden belt at her waist, along with light blue crystal earrings on her ears. There was a dark blue tattoo resembling the Aquarius zodiac symbol right under her collarbone. Aquarius also wielded an urn that acted as the basis of the Water Magic she used in battle.

“What do you want, girl?” Aquarius questioned Lucy with an annoyed look. She had a very moody personality usually, and Lucy had to deal with that as her Key Holder.

“Dark Mages trying to kill us, drown them for all I care!” Lucy pointed out the men in the hole and the others beyond it.

“Where do you get off barking orders at me?!” Aquarius whipped her urn around and a tidal wave of water burst forth. Lucy would normally be swept away by such a powerful torrent, but she was a Dragon Slayer now and had been getting stronger as much as she could since the last time that she’d summoned Aquarius. This time around, Lucy leapt over Aquarius with a flip and landed behind her spirit. The landing wasn’t exactly graceful or anything, but Lucy wasn’t a gymnast either!

“WHAT THE HELL?!” The Dark Mages yelled in terror as the massive wall of water bore down on them. The hole filled with crushing water near instantly and beyond the hole the men were swallowed up and then slammed against rocks, buildings, and whatever other solid objects were caught up in Aquarius’s massive attack range.

“You little brat.” Aquarius tsked at Lucy avoiding her attack. “You’ll never get a boyfriend if you always have to rely on me, you know?”

“Hey,” Lucy looked Aquarius directly in the eye. “I haven’t summoned you in just over three months because you asked me to only summon you when I really needed you. I accepted that and have kept up my end of the contract. This time I actually needed you, so, as per our contract, I summoned you to help me out.” She laid out their current arrangement. Proving that she hadn’t violated any part of their agreement. “And, just so you know, I do have a boyfriend! We’re soon going to be Mates too, so you can knock off those barbs already!”

“Tsk!” Aquarius turned away from Lucy, seemingly annoyed. But unseen by Lucy, a small smile was on the Celestial Spirit’s lips. “Well, whatever, I’m going on a two-week vacation with my boyfriend, starting today. So, don’t you dare summon me during that time unless you’re dying, got it?” She looked into Lucy’s brown eyes, only now noticing the slitted pupils.

“Fine, fine. Thank you for your help.” Lucy sighed, but still thanked Aquarius for dealing with the majority of the Dark Mages on this part of the shoreline.

“Whatever.” Aquarius waved and then vanished in a glow of golden light.

“It’s always a thing with her.” Lucy sighed, having known Aquarius the longest of all her Celestial Spirits.

“Princess, shall we continue?” Virgo questioned, popping out of the ground as if it was an elevator. “Your friends are currently dealing with all of the Dark Mages on the island.”

“Let’s go help them out, Virgo!” Lucy smiled at the spirit and followed her underground via the tunnel that Virgo was making with her Earth Magic.

-Top of the Tower of Heaven-

“You won’t stand a chance against me once I regain all of my Magic Power, Erza!” Jellal declared as his body glowed with a golden light.

“Jellal!” Erza roared preparing to leap at the bastard that had betrayed all of them that had been enslaved on this island.

BOOM

A blast of flames rocked the split in half room. The flames scattered to reveal Natsu, his amber eyes looked molten as they quickly sought out Erza. Upon seeing her, Natsu smiled warmly at her. Then his gaze snapped to the glowing, blue-haired, fuck that was standing across from his Mate.

“So…is this that Jellal guy you told me about, Erza?” Natsu rumbled out, the heat pouring off his body was warping the air around him. The guy certainly fit how Erza had described the boy that had revealed his true nature after getting a taste of power via Magic.

“Yes, Natsu, that’s Jellal.” Erza answered, her own voice a low growl while glaring death at Jellal.

“I’ve always wanted to deal with you, if you were alive.” The stone beneath Natsu’s feet was starting to liquify, and with it the lacrima beneath was cracking apart. “Looks like I get my chance.”

“Natsu Dragneel…son of Igneel the Magma Dragon.” Jellal grinned at the pink-haired man. “I’ve always been curious about your power.’

“Yes.” Siegrain spoke up, seemingly appearing from nowhere, and walking to stand by Jellal’s side. “Ancient Magic, the Lost Magic…it’s such a mystery.”

“You!” Erza snarled at Siegrain. “I figured that you two were in on this together! You NEVER tried to stop Jellal like a true brother should, Siegrain!”

“Siegrain? The Council Member?” Natsu cocked an eyebrow at seeing the man here. He’d only ever seen him in pictures in the paper on rare occasions.

-Era-

“Siegrain?!” Org blinked in shock, seeing Siegrain just vanish from the table.

“What the?!” Michello looked around the room in confusion.

“Where’d he go?” Belno demanded, also scanning the room. “We were having a serious conversation about dealing with the R-System!”

“Was that a Thought Projection?” Gran Doma questioned, a hint of his agitation and displeasure leaking out as the pressure from his Magic Power seeped out of his body.

“Why would Siegrain being using a Thought Projection this whole time?!” Leiji demanded, having been the second to take the other Council Member’s side in firing Etherion.

What just happened?’ Ultear’s eyes were narrowed as she tried to figure out why Jellal had just abandoned eight years of work and planning. The legitimate confusion on her face was the only thing that spared her from Yajima’s scrutiny while the Council Chamber devolved into confusion over Siegrain’s sudden disappearance.

-Tower of Heaven-

“Brother?” Siegrain chuckled as he stood next to Jellal. “Ah, yes, you nearly attacked me the first time we met. Until I told you we were twins. But the suspicion and hostility never went away, did they, Erza?”

“It seems I was right to suspect you.” Erza spat at the two men.

“But you got one thing wrong, Erza.” Siegrain grinned at her.

“We aren’t brothers…” Jellal had a nearly demented grin on his face.

“We’re one and the same.” Siegrain finished and his form flickered like static for a second.

“A Thought Projection?!” Erza couldn’t believe that Jellal could lead a double life with that Magic! To make a Thought Projection solid enough to pass as a normal person would take immense amounts of Magic and focus! “How much of your life has been a lie?!”

Siegrain glided into Jellal and vanished. The golden glow around Jellal intensified exponentially, becoming too bright to look at for the two Dragon Slayers.

“Heh heh…my power…” Jellal clenched his fists with a dark smile. “My Magic Power is back within me!”

“It doesn’t matter.” Natsu snorted at the increased power he could feel from Jellal. “You made Erza suffer, she cried because of what you did, and I’ll never forgive you for it!” His Magic Power exploded off his body and the area around him was reduced to lava.

“This ends today, Jellal.” Erza’s Magic Power made the half of the tower they were in tremble.

“Yes, I suppose it does.” Jellal didn’t look worried in the slightest now. “I’ll have to kill you all, and then start rebuilding the Tower of Heaven.”

The battle between a mad man and two Dragon Slayers was about to begin.

Epic battle but it won’t be enough. This version of Natsu is at least 3 times stronger than his Cannon version and he has a fully motivated and free Erza. The fates of the Trinity Raven members were great. Honestly this is the cake walk it was supposed to be. I can’t wait for the Oracion Seis Arc because I don’t see any other arc after this being a challenge until then. I also don’t actually see Laxus seeing fairy tail as weak after all the stunts. If anything I see Laxus learning from Natsu’s example. It’s not like he is hiding what he is doing lol. At least the gimmicks of Oracion Seis are actually op together.

Kairomaru

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Thomas! Yeah, Laxus is an ass, and it wasn't ONLY strength that he sought out, but the leadership and control of Fairy Tail...by force eventually. This time around, Laxus might just have to take a more severe beating than Canon. Perhaps he'll finally pull his head out of his ass after that?

Jeremie

how will he fair? Well we've got a full pissed off Natsu and Jellal didn't do so great against him in canon so I doubt he's going to do any better in this story than in cannon especially when Natsu is so much stronger than in cannon same as Erza lol. I have a feeling there's going to be no redemption for him this time

Kairomaru

So much Dragon rage!!! Redemption is for those that actually seek it! And then bust their asses to EARN it! Jellal has no remorse for what he's done at all. Therefore, all he gets is Dragons fucking him up!

Mat Hemsley

Jellal has a fully pissed off much more powerful natsu and erza aiming to kill he is screwed can't wait for more
