Hey friends and fans, another Plot Bunny comes to life! Seriously, why won’t my dumb brain settle down? I still have more after this one too! Man this is going to take forever to get caught up on!

This power starts out similar to the Bending of Avatar, but will eventually move further to a point where Izuku will be able to do amazing things with his mind alone.

I hope you enjoy!

The Metallic Hero!

Izuku stared at the empty can of juice on the floor. His mother had bought him a drink from the vending machine near his preschool. The empty can was now on the other side of the room on the floor. The reason Izuku was staring was because the said can had been sitting on the coffee table in the living room just a second ago. Izuku had been playing ‘All Might’ in the living room and when he’d thrown his last punch the can had flown from the table and landed on the floor. The strange thing was that Izuku hadn’t touched the can. It didn’t take Izuku very long to figure out what this meant, even at four years old.

“My Quirk!” Izuku exclaimed happily before rushing towards the kitchen to tell his mother. “Mommy! Mommy! I got my Quirk!”

“You did?” Inko asked before a bright smile came to her face. “Oh Izuku, that’s wonderful!” The mother pulled her small son into a hug. “Can you show me your Quirk, honey?” Izuku nodded before he ran back into the living room and grabbed the aluminum can. He quickly brought it into the kitchen and set it on the floor.

“Watch, watch!” Izuku smiled as he punched towards the can. A slight feeling of resistance, so small it was barely noticeable to the four year old, was the proof that his Quirk worked. The aluminum can flew from the floor and hit the far wall, only a few meters away, with a bit of force.

“Oh Izuku, I’m so happy for you!” Inko beamed at her son. Little Izuku was smiling back happily to his mother. “We’ll get you to the Quirk Registration Office as soon as I can get an appointment.”

“Ok!” Izuku smiled as he held out his hand and made a ‘come here’ motion. The can rolled towards him and Izuku picked it up. The young boy was planning on using the can to try and do other things with his newfound Quirk.

-Quirk Registration Office-

“We’ll do a few tests to determine the limits of Izuku-kun’s Quirk. Once we know what it can do, or what we’re dealing with, then we can figure out a name.” The woman that would be working with Izuku informed the mother and child.

“That’s fine.” Inko nodded before sitting off to the side of the large room. Izuku waved to her before turning his attention to the woman that would help him figure out his Quirk.

“Alright Izuku-kun, let’s see what you can do with these first.” The woman smiled as she motioned to three empty aluminum cans on a table.

“Ok!” Izuku nodded as he felt for the can with his mind. HE found it quickly and launched a punch. The can flew off the table and landed a few meters away.

“Very good Izuku-kun.” The woman smiled as she tapped on her tablet for a second. “Can you do anything else?”

“Yeah!” Izuku grinned as he put both arms out and then moved them toward him. The second can left the table and floated over to Izuku who grabbed it out of the air when it got close enough.

“Excellent.” The woman nodded at the four year old. “Anything else you’ve figured out on your own, Izuku-kun?”

“Just this.” Izuku focused and held out both of his hands. Slowly he brought them closer together and the last can began to crumple up. It looked like someone had crushed it vertically after only a few seconds.

“I see, that’s good too, Izuku-kun.” The woman tapped on her tablet for a few seconds. “Can you affect anything else with your Quirk?”

“Uh, I don’t think so.” Izuku shook his head.

“How about we try, just to be sure?” The woman asked with a grin and Izuku nodded back with a smile. Various objects were brought in for Izuku to try and move or manipulate. Wood, plastic, rock, dirt, paper, water, fire, electricity, and various other materials. What became consistent from the tests was that Izuku’s Quirk only affected metal. Apparently any metal that was within Izuku’s ‘range’ was able to be manipulated by the boy. Further testing also revealed just how much Izuku could ‘lift’ with his Quirk, at least at the moment, said weight being about ten kilograms so soon after manifesting his Quirk. The weight he could ‘lift’ also diminished the further the object was away from Izuku.

“Mommy, I’m done!” Izuku smiled happily at his mother shortly after he finished with his tests.

“I saw!” Inko hugged her son. “You did great, Izuku!”

“He did very well indeed,” The woman smiled as she sat next to Inko with her tablet. "Based on the tests and the data we’ve gathered, it’s clear that Izuku has an Emitter Type Quirk. As it only affects metal, regardless of if they’re magnetic or not, we are able to rule out Magnetism Manipulation. Izuku’s Quirk is therefore Metal Manipulation.”

“I see; is that the official name that his Quirk will be given?” Inko asked the Official.

“We actually have a list of names if you’d like to go over it.” The Official smiled as she brought up the list on the tablet. Inko and Izuku looked at the various names on the list. Izuku didn’t really like any of them though so he turned to his mother.

“Can I name it?” Izuku asked and Inko immediately caved to the adorable four year old.

“Of course you can, honey.” Inko nodded with a smile.

“What do you want to call your Quirk, Izuku-kun?” The Official asked the boy.

“Hmm, what about Metal Bending?” Izuku asked the woman.

“That’s acceptable; I’ll get your Quirk Registry completed shortly.” The woman smiled at the boy before standing up and moving towards an office. The mother and son left the Office several minutes later with plans for Katsudon and a copy of Izuku’s new Quirk Registry.

Name: Midoriya Izuku

-Izuku’s Preschool-

Izuku was so happy to finally have a Quirk like everyone else in his school group. With a smile he showed off his Quirk to the teachers and the other kids. The teachers gave him praise for having an ‘interesting’ Quirk, but also told him not to hurt himself with it. Most of his peers thought his Quirk was neat and that maybe he could be a Hero with it like he wanted. Kacchan said it was alright, but not as good as his ‘Explosion’ Quirk. Izuku was just happy that his Quirk was accepted by everyone.

Izuku would spend the next two years practicing with his Quirk and trying to find different ways to use it. The young green eyed boy would use various movements to see if he got better responses from his Quirk. He learned how to shape metal with his Quirk after almost a year of practice. He could make a piece of metal take on whatever shape or form he desired with the right hand motions. It was sort of like playing with clay, but without touching the metal. Eventually Izuku, as the ever growing Hero Nerd he was becoming, started looking at other Heroes besides All Might. Doing so allowed Izuku to see more types of Heroes and their specialties. He took notice of a few that were close-range fighters as well, mostly because they were similar to All Might in combat style.

“Mommy, can I learn Martial Arts?” Izuku asked his mother.

“Why the sudden interest, Izuku?” Inko questioned as she looked at her six year old son.

“Lots of Heroes use Martial Arts! Even some that have Quirks that can work at longer ranges. I want to be a Hero like that!” Izuku smiled as he explained his reason for wanting to learn.

“Alright honey, we’ll look into a few places, ok?” Inko acquiesced to her son’s desire.

“Yay!” Izuku cheered as he hugged his mother with all he had. Inko laughed as she hugged her son back.

The two of them had checked online for local dojos over the next several days. There were a few not too far away and even a couple Izuku could visit after school with only a short walk or quick train ride. They eventually settled on a dojo between the local Elementary and Junior High Schools. The Dojo had instructors for a few different styles and offered to teach any of them. The only stand out thing about the dojo was that it taught Chinese Martial Arts styles.

-Martial Arts Dojo-

“These are the Styles we offer here.” The Shifu of the Dojo explained to the Midoriyas as he showed them the various Styles. As Inko and Izuku looked them over the Shifu was also looking Izuku over. “Might I ask about your son’s Quirk, Midoriya-san?”

“It’s called ‘Metal Bending’, Izuku can manipulate metal with his mind, but moving his arms and hands helps him focus.” Inko explained her son’s Quirk to the man.

“We can teach him any of the styles, but if I had a demonstration of his Quirk I might recommend one over the others.” The Shifu elaborated and Izuku was all for showing off his Quirk to the man that could teach him Martial Arts.

“Ok!” Izuku smiled at the man. A few moments later and Izuku was moving small weights around with his Quirk. The Shifu’s eyes followed the boy’s motions and after Izuku stopped the man nodded his head.

“You appear to be much like my nephew, Hiryu; both of your Quirks lend you well to defensive and strong stances.” The Shifu nodded as they walked back to his office. “From young Izuku’s demonstration I’d recommend he learn this Style.” The Shifu pointed at one in particular on the list.

“Hung Gar?” Inko questioned as she looked at the man.

“Yes, a form of Southern Kung Fu, it has both Hard and Soft forms. It is also called Tiger and Crane Style by some. Izuku’s Quirk seems to affect metal more strongly when he puts strength behind his movements. While he may eventually move passed this and become able to move metal with strength and precision just from his thoughts alone, Hung Gar is still an effective form of combat. I mentioned my nephew, Hiryu, having a Quirk that could emphasize defense like Izuku’s. He also studies Hung Gar.” The Shifu smiled at the mother and son. “Hiryu is also Izuku’s age, so they could both have a new friend.”

“Do you want to give it a try, Izuku?” Inko asked her son. Izuku instantly nodded back so fast his head was almost a blur. “Alright, honey, I understand.” The mother giggled at how enthusiastic her son was.

“Glad to have you with us, Izuku-kun.” The Shifu smiled at the boy.

“Thank you, Sir!” Izuku beamed back at the man.

-The Next Weekend-

“Hello, Midoriya.” Hiryu Rin greeted his fellow student.

“Hello, Rin.” Izuku returned the greeting.

The two had met at Izuku’s first lesson and gotten along well. In the week they’d known each other they’d both found out that not only were their birthdays one day apart. Izuku’s was July Fifteenth, while Hiryu’s was July Fourteenth. But that they both wanted to be Heroes when they grew up. Izuku also found Hiryu’s Quirk interesting. Hiryu’s Quirk was called ‘Scales’ and it let him produce hard, reptilian-like, scales from his body. So far he could only make them appear from his fingertips to his elbows; but with practice he’d eventually be able to cover his whole body with them. A cool aspect that Hiryu had found out about only shortly before Izuku joined the Dojo was that he could actually fire off the scales he produced with proper motions.

“Ready for lessons today?” Hiryu asked as they got into their training clothes.

“Yeah, I’m hoping I can keep up.” Izuku nodded as he finished changing. Both boys were on the training floor a few minutes later stretching and warming up.

-Last Year of Elementary School-

“Begin!” Shifu Rin announced as he began the match between Izuku and Hiryu.

Both boys took their stances and moved in to striking range. Hiryu threw the first punch and Izuku knocked it aside, then he threw a punch towards Hiryu’s chest. The black-haired boy raised his other arm knocking Izuku’s punch to the side before bringing his leg up towards the verdette’s stomach. Izuku raised his own knee, blocked his friend’s kick. The two exchanged a few more strikes, each of them being blocked or redirected, a testament of how well they knew each other’s fighting preferences.

Izuku surprised Hiryu when he stepped into his stance fully and put his weight into a double punch. Hiryu stumbled back two steps before planting his feet and strengthening his stance. Izuku’s follow up kick was blocked and Hiryu struck the green eyed boy’s headgear with the back of his fist. Izuku backed up a step before retaking his footing and blocking a follow up set of strikes. The verdette saw an opening and shot his fist upwards and punched the bottom of Hiryu’s headgear. The other boy backed up, raising his arms to defend against follow up attacks, before stomping his foot behind him and taking a stronger stance.

“Stop!” Shifu Rin called out and both Hiryu and Izuku dropped their stances and bowed to each other. “Excellent work you two.” Shifu Rin nodded to both boys. Izuku and Hiryu bowed to the man and where then motioned towards the side so that the next students could spar.

“Didn’t expect you to take an aggressive stance like that.” Hiryu smiled at his friend as he removed his headgear.

“I was hoping to capitalize on your surprise, but you adapted even quicker than I thought.” Izuku smiled back at his friend, while removing his own headgear.

“If we used our Quirks I’m sure the match would eventually go in your favor.” Hiryu shrugged.

“Maybe, it would depend on if I could knock you down or pull enough metal to restrain you.” Izuku replied entering his ‘thinking’ pose. “You’ve gotten really good at launching your scales, so I’d have to be on guard. That might break my focus and prevent me from restraining you. If we got up close then I might not need as much metal, but your scales blunt damage and you wouldn’t just let me restrain you.”

“Izuku, Izuku…” Hiryu snapped his fingers in front of Izuku’s face. “You were doing the muttering thing again.”

“Oh right, thanks.” Izuku rubbed the back of his head. HE slipped into a muttering spree when he was analyzing things. Hiryu had learned to snap him out of it in their five years of friendship.

“Don’t worry about it.” Hiryu waved off.

“Speaking of Quirks, how has your full body activation been going?” Izuku asked, curious about his friend’s improvement.

“If I’m standing still it’s easy.” Hiryu sighed. “But when I get moving it’s hard to focus on keeping the scales everywhere.”

“You still find it easier to keep your upper body and arms covered then?” Izuku questioned.

“Pretty much.” Hiryu nodded. “On the bright side, I’ve gotten better at firing my scales. Both power and accuracy have noticeably increased. Though after devoting an hour to it almost every day for the last two years that’s to be expected, I guess.”

“You’ll get it, Hiryu; you’re too hard of a worker to not get it.” Izuku assured his friend.

“Thanks Izuku, how’s your Metal Bending coming along? Are you still having problems with precision?” Hiryu asked his friend.

“If I have time I can do almost anything.” Izuku explained. “But when I get too fast I don’t have enough time to focus and the metal might bend in the way I want it to; but it won’t take on the full form I’m wanting.”

“Looks like we both need to increase our focus then.” Hiryu grinned as they sat down and watched the older students begin their spars.

“It seems so.” Izuku agreed with a smile. “Are you going to Aldera too?”

“Yeah, it’s close to the Dojo and I only need to take a twenty minute train ride to get home.” Hiryu confirmed.

“It’ll be nice to have a friend there.” Izuku sighed happily.

“Bakugo still not coming around?” Hiryu asked. He’d only met the guy a handful of times, but he knew the ash blonde was driven and wanted to be the best at everything. The fact that Izuku’s Quirk was so versatile and continually getting stronger seemed to make the red eyed boy angry. Though there was seemingly some grudging respect from Bakugo as well. The ash blonde was definitely rough around the edges, but Hiryu believed the guy had good in him. If only they could uncover it from the mountain of pride and ego it was buried under.

“He’s still as aggressive as ever.” Izuku sighed heavily. He missed being good friends with Bakugo.

“I’m sure he’ll lighten up in time.” Hiryu offered his support. “Everyone grows up and matures eventually, right?”

“I hope so.” Izuku nodded as he took a drink from his water bottle.

-First Year of Junior High-

“Well…this isn’t what I was hoping for.” Izuku exhaled heavily.

“Maybe it’s not what we would have preferred, but our classes are next to each other at least.” Hiryu consoled his friend.

The two of them were in the same Junior High, Aldera, but in different classes. Much to both of the boy’s dismay. Though they still had lunch time to hang out, and both of them went to the Dojo after school too.

“I guess so.” Izuku nodded as they parted ways and headed for their classrooms.

Izuku sat in his assigned seat and prepared for homeroom. He was a bit early, as shown by the fact that only about a quarter of the class was present, but he figured it was better to be early rather than late. He was pulling out his notebook when someone took the seat next to his. It was a petite, fair-skinned girl with a slender build. She has triangular, lazy-looking onyx eyes with slightly long lower eyelashes and rather small eyebrows. Her hair was short, only around chin length, and a dark purple in color with an asymmetrical fringe, and it had two ‘waves’ in it that resembled those found on an EKG machine. Though her most prominent features were the flexible, plug-like earphone jacks hanging from each of her earlobes at the end of two thin cord-like extensions, one from each ear.

“Uh dude, do you need something?” The girl asked and Izuku realized he been looking at her for longer than he’d thought.

“Oh, uh, um, I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stare.” Izuku apologized with a small bow. “I’m Midoriya Izuku; it’s nice to meet you.”

“Jirou Kyouka, nice to meet you too.” Kyouka introduced herself.

“Nice to meet you, Jirou-san.” Izuku smiled at the girl. “Um, if you don’t mind could you tell me about your Quirk sometime?”

“You some kind of Quirk Nerd?” Kyouka asked with a raised eyebrow and a slight grin.

“Oh, well, I guess?” Izuku tried to keep his cheeks from heating up. “I just find them interesting and like to learn about them.”

“You can ask a few questions at lunch, I guess.” Kyouka shrugged.

“Thank you, Kyouka.” Izuku gave her a smile. “You can meet my friend Hiryu too if you want. We were planning to eat lunch together outside today.”

“Sure, why not.” Kyouka agreed just as the teacher walked in for homeroom.

At lunch time Kyouka and Izuku made their way outside and met up with Hiryu under a tree in the schoolyard. After introductions were made the group began to eat. Once they’d eaten Izuku pulled out his notebook and pencil and started asking about Kyouka’s Quirk.

“So it’s definitely a Mutant Type, but what are its capabilities?” Izuku asked, already writing in his notebook.

“Well I can pump my heartbeat through them and amplify it to really powerful levels. The soundwaves can damage things that I plug my jacks into. The jacks themselves can puncture concrete, though that does hurt a little. They can also extend about six meters and are prehensile as well.” Kyouka explained her Quirk to the Quirk Nerd while twirling her left jack around her left index finger.

“That’s amazing!” Izuku praised as he rapidly wrote down the new information.

“Thanks.” Kyouka grinned. She was proud to have the same Quirk as her mother after all.

“Hmm, I wonder if they could be used with some kind of speaker or amplifier system to increase their power and range.” Izuku began to mutter to himself as he continued to write. “With more training would the jacks be strong enough to puncture other materials? Will the length they can extend increase if she stretches them a little more each time? What about-”

“There he goes.” Hiryu shook his head while Kyouka’s eyes widened as Izuku continued to ramble on about her Quirk.

“Does he do this often?” Kyouka asked Hiryu, looking back and forth between the two boys.

“Only when he starts analyzing things.” Hiryu explained as he snapped a couple times in front of Izuku’s face.

“Huh?” Izuku stopped muttering and looked up from his notebook.

“You were doing the muttering thing again.” Hiryu explained and Izuku blushed while looking over at Kyouka.

“S-Sorry about that, Jirou-san!” Izuku apologized. “When I see a cool Quirk I tend to ramble.”

“It’s cool, dude.” Kyouka waved off his apology. “Though you’re definitely a ‘Quirk Nerd’, one hundred percent.”

“I guess so.” Izuku grinned sheepishly.

“So what are your Quirks?” Kyouka asked. She might as well learn about her new friends. Hiryu went first, explaining his ‘Scales’ Quirk only took a couple minutes. Izuku explained his ‘Metal Bending’ Quirk afterwards, which took a little longer, and Kyouka nodded when he was finished. “Looks like we got a full set between us.”

“Huh?” Hiryu questioned the purplette.

“A full set of Quirk Types.” Kyouka elaborated. “Midoriya’s an Emitter, Rin’s a Transformation, and I’m a Mutant.”

“Oh.” Izuku nodded, finally getting what she meant. The new trio of friends spent the rest of the lunch break chatting and getting to know each other better. Over the course of their first year of Junior High they would become good friends. Izuku however, would find himself falling for a girl for the first time.

-Second Year of Junior High-

“Izuku, seriously, just ask her.” Hiryu encouraged on their way to classes in the morning.

“I can’t do that.” Izuku shook his head. “What if she doesn’t feel the same way?”

“At least you’d know.” Hiryu replied.

“I mean…yeah…but it could ruin our friendship.” Izuku worried as they entered the school grounds.

“I’m sure Kyouka wouldn’t end your friendship like that.” Hiryu denied. “Look just try today at lunch. I’ll even be a few minutes ‘late’ to give you some time, okay?”

“A-Alright, I’ll do it.” Izuku mumbled out. “I’ll ask Kyouka.”

“Ask me what?” Kyouka questioned as she approached them.

“No, nothing! I mean….” Izuku panicked and Hiryu sighed.

“Izuku wants to ask you something at lunch is all.” Hiryu explained. “He’s just being weird about it for some reason.”

“Oh, that’s a little weird Midori.” Kyouka raised an eyebrow at him.

“I just need a little time to formulate the question.” Izuku looked away nervously.

“If you say so.” Kyouka shrugged as they made their way inside.

-Lunch Time-

“So what did you want to ask me?” Kyouka questioned Izuku as they stood under the tree the trio of friends usually ate lunch at.

“W-Well, I just, I was wondering…” Izuku couldn’t stop stuttering and stumbling over his words! He was so blowing this! He was going to look like a fool in front of Kyouka!

‘No way…is he about to…to…confess!’ Kyouka thought as she felt her cheeks start to heat up. ‘But why would he confess to ‘me’ of all people?’ Kyouka had never found herself to be all ‘that’ attractive when compared to a lot of the other girls in school. Why would Izuku, the loveable dork that he was, be confessing to her?

“Kyouka, I…I really, really…like you.” Izuku finally got out and Kyouka’s eyes widened and she felt her cheeks take on a full blush. “Would you…maybe…want to go out with me?” The verdette was glad he finally asked but hadn’t turned his eyes up from the ground to see Kyouka’s reaction.

“Why…why would you ask me?” Kyouka questioned. “I’m nothing special or anything.” Izuku’s head snapped up and he looked at Kyouka like she was crazy. The purplette was twirling one of her jacks around her finger, something she did when she was nervous, and looking off to the side.

“Kyouka…you’re amazing.” Izuku stated without a bit of doubt in his voice. “You’re smart, kind, cool, you put up with my muttering, you’re beautiful, and the way you twirl your jacks around your fingers is really cute!” Kyouka didn’t think she could get any more red, but Izuku was apparently trying to prove her wrong. She switched from twirling her jacks to shyly poking them against each other.

“But I’m so…plain.” Kyouka shook her head. “And you’re muttering is adorkable, any girl would think so.”

“Kyouka…there’s nothing that’s plain about you.” Izuku shook his head. “Not one. Single. Thing.” Kyouka finally looked Izuku in the eye and saw the sincerity in his eyes.

“Okay.” Kyouka said shyly, still poking the ends of her jacks together.

“Huh?” Izuku replied confused.

“I said okay, I’ll go out with you.” Kyouka said louder and she was instantly rewarded with a beaming smile from Izuku. Why did he have to have such a warm, cute smile? She always felt warm inside when she saw it. Maybe she had been harboring her own feelings for him? She’d never thought he’d like ‘her’ of all people though; so she’d pushed them down and ignored them.

“Thank you, Kyouka!” Izuku smiled at her. “I…don’t really know what to do now….”

“You dork.” Kyouka couldn’t stop the laughter as Izuku completely blanked on what to do now that she’d agreed to go out with him. Izuku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly before joining her with his own chuckles. From a ways off, Hiryu smiled at seeing his friends finally admit they liked each other. He might not be the most observant guy when it came to relationships; but even he could tell Izuku and Kyouka liked each other.

So it was that Kyouka and Izuku started dating. Izuku had brought Kyouka over to his home to meet his mother after a few weeks. Inko had sniffled and been so happy she’d hugged Izuku tightly and then proceeded to get to know Kyouka. The purplette was nervous at first, but Inko had such a warm and welcoming air about her that Kyouka found it impossible to remain nervous. The two chatted and Izuku was happy that his mother and girlfriend were getting along so well.

When it finally came time for Kyouka to introduce Izuku to her parents, something she’d put off for as long as possible out of the sheer teasing she knew she was going to get, Izuku was practically vibrating with nervousness. Kyouka hadn’t made it any better when she told him that her father was probably going to ‘interrogate’ him. Though she did try and ease his nerves by saying her mother would probably approve of him. She’d been one hundred percent correct. Mika had been overjoyed to meet her daughter’s boyfriend. She near instantly approved of the ‘cute cinnamon roll’ as she’d called him. If Izuku hadn’t been so terrified of the glare her father, Kyotoku, was giving him he’d have blushed. The ‘interrogation’ had lasted several minutes before both Kyouka and Mika had made Kyotoku stop. Grudgingly the doting father had approved of Izuku dating his ‘Rocking Little Girl’ in his words. That was also enough to get Kyouka to hide her red face from Izuku. Why did her dad have to be so embarrassing?!

Throughout the couple’s Second Year they went on simple dates together; with an occasional concert at Kyouka’s request. Izuku never said no to them and even started to develop a taste for some of the same music as his girlfriend. Hiryu had suggested they all start training with their Quirks together and Kyouka was quickly added to their practice. With Izuku’s analytic abilities and Hiryu’s suggestions for non-Quirk related things for her to potentially incorporate, Kyouka became more versatile than she ever imagined. She’d even learned a bit of stick fighting from her father. To Kyouka’s surprise she learned that until Junior High her father had actually grown up in a pretty ‘rough’ area. He’d picked up some self-defense lessons as a boy from a few older friends and was happy to pass them on to his daughter. The fact that she wanted to be a Hero was even more reason for her to have any bit of knowledge she could about protecting herself.

The trio’s Third Year wasn’t much different from their Second. Kyouka and Izuku still went on dates. The three of them practiced together with their Quirks and Martial Skills. The most important thing that happened that year, in Izuku and Kyouka’s opinion, was that the couple shared their first kiss. It had happened at the end of one of their simple dates. They’d gotten ice cream together and had been enjoying a break from their practicing. Izuku had even taken the day off from his Hung Gar class. The two had simply found themselves looking at each other as the sun set. Before they realized it their lips were together and they were enjoying their first kiss. When they broke away they both immediately went bright red at first, but the joy of the kiss wouldn’t let them be embarrassed for long. The couple had broken up into laughter and leaned against each other for the rest of their date.

-UA Entrance Exam-

Izuku, Kyouka, and Hiryu walked from the train station to the school entrance as a group. Izuku and Kyouka were holding hands too, as had become normal for them. All three were confident in their chances to pass, but a bit of nervousness still seeped in for them. Knowing that their friends were taking the Exams with them helped to ease the trio’s nerves, even if just a little.

“You ready for this, Kyo-chan?” Izuku smiled at his girlfriend who nodded and squeezed his hand as they headed for the exam hall. “How about you, Hiryu?”

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” Hiryu nodded as the trio looked up at the massive UA building.

The written exam wasn’t easy, as expected of UA, but all three felt they did well enough to pass. When it came time to learn what the practical exam entailed Izuku had a small fanboy moment at seeing the Voice Hero: Present Mic on stage going over the exam. Kyouka smiled at her boyfriend fondly as she watched on. Hiryu rolled his eyes at Izuku’s ‘fanboy moment’, but expected it having known Izuku so long. After the explanation the trio found out that they wouldn’t be in the same Exam Site with each other since they all went to the same Junior High.

“I still say this exam is too easy for you.” Kyouka teased her boyfriend, though Izuku could see the nervousness in her eyes.

“It’s ok, Kyo-chan, you’re going to pass this easily!” Izuku reassured his girlfriend.

“Can I have a good luck kiss?” Kyouka asked; a faint blush on her cheeks and Izuku met her lips with his in a brief, soft kiss before they separated. Kyouka suddenly felt much calmer and saw the same in her boyfriend’s eyes. With a smile and a short hug the two parted to take the practical exam.

“I don’t need a kiss.” Hiryu joked waving his hands in front of him.

“Good, you weren’t going to get one.” Izuku deadpanned.

“Fist bump?” Hiryu held out his fist with a smile.

“Fist bump.” Izuku nodded, smiling back at his friend.

-Exam Site B-

“Alright…here we are, let’s pass this and get back to Kyo-chan.” Izuku exhaled as he stood outside Exam Site B. It was time to earn his place here at UA and nothing was going to stop him! Especially not when both of his friends were doing their best to get in as well!

“START!” Present Mic called out loudly from where he stood on a platform at the top of a tower, his voice reaching out across the large testing grounds and to all the various groups of applicants. Everybody in Izuku’s testing group froze up for a moment at the sudden start. “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL LIFE! RUN! GO, GO, GO!!!”

With that Izuku and the rest of the examinees dashed forward into the large mock cityscape. Izuku couldn’t out run some of the examinees, like the blue-haired guy with engines in his legs, but he outpaced a good number. Seeing the blue-haired teen turn and launch himself at a Three Pointer and the only other two examinees that out ran him on the opposite side of the large main street, Izuku got a good idea.

“Target acquired…eliminate!” Several of the robots intoned and Izuku couldn’t help but grin as he stomped the ground powerfully, set himself in a strong stance, and then ‘pushed’ as much as he could with his Quirk. Several examinees stopped to stare at what he was doing and were stunned when the closest robots suddenly flew backwards at speed.

The first group of robots slammed into those behind them. The force moving them wasn’t slowed much however and the next row of robots ended up in the same state. As more and more robots crashed together, breaking apart or becoming inactive, Izuku exhaled and relaxed his stance. Most of the examinees stood with their mouths agape at the fact that a single guy had just taken out almost half the robots on the main street, barring the ones further down the long street, in the first thirty seconds of the exam.

“Huh, I wonder how many points that is.” Izuku tilted his head realizing he didn’t have any way of knowing what his current score was. “I guess I should keep going.” With that he rushed further into the mock cityscape to find more robots.

-Staff Control Room-

“Well now, it seems we have quite an examinee this year. He has quite a bit of power behind his Quirk.” Nezu, the chimera-like Principal of UA commented after watching Izuku’s attack.

“Was that ‘Telekinesis’?” Midnight, a Hero that dressed in a modified Dominatrix outfit, wondered aloud as she saw the robots get launched back from a distance without the teen ever going near them.

-Exam Site B-

“Target acquired!” A Two Pointer intoned only for to be seemingly smashed into the road by an invisible force.

“I heard you all the first dozen times.” Izuku sighed as he saw a Three Pointer launch missiles at him. With the practice movements he’d honed since he was six, Izuku bent the metal in the missiles and the weapons swerved around him and destroyed a group of One Pointers off to the side. Planting his feet, Izuku swiped upwards strongly and the metal debris from the destroyed Two Pointer he’d crushed rose into the air. A kick against the floating metal sent the broken robot slamming into the Three Pointer, destroying it. “Gotta keep going.” With that Izuku took off to another street.

Finding more robots didn’t take long and Izuku engaged them quickly. Crushing the first one, a One Pointer, Izuku stomped on the ground to send the broken metal pieces floating. A few quick punches and the debris rocketed forward and tore into several more robots further down the street. Hearing the telltale sound of a Three Pointer firing its missiles Izuku turned and planted his feet. With a powerful double punch forward the missiles stopped dead. A follow up kick sent the missiles right back at the Three Pointer destroying it. Izuku returned to the main street by following the road he was on.

-Staff Control Room-

“Power Loader, it’s about time and I’m interested to see the examinees’ response to your creations.” Nezu commented with a smile on his rodent-like face.

“Yes sir.” Power Loader grinned as he flipped up a plastic cover over a big red button. “Ready or not kids, here they come!” With that he pushed the button and loud rumbling was heard at all of the Test Sites.

-Test Site B-

The rumbling came from further down the main street. Izuku watched on as a massive robot, the Zero Pointer they’d gone over during the presentation, rose up from the ground and destroyed most of the buildings around just by rising up. All of the examinees that were anywhere near it took off in the opposite direction. Izuku saw the behemoth machine making its way after the fleeing teens and charged towards the robot. As he ran past fleeing examinees Izuku was focused on the Zero Pointer’s construction. He was looking for any weak points he could exploit with his Quirk.

“It has tank treads; I might be able to break those.” Izuku noted as he got close to the robot. Izuku firmly planted himself into a horse stance; with a deep breath he ‘slammed’ the full force of his Quirk against the massive moving treads. The treads suddenly stopped moving, but the massive steel wheels kept spinning, forcing the treading to groan and buckle under the force. A loud metallic snap was heard and the Zero Pointer quickly found itself immobile. The red lights on its ‘face’ blinked on and off for a few seconds before it focused on Izuku and raised its large hands to smash him.

Izuku didn’t give the behemoth machine the chance. Raising his own arms Izuku focused on the joints of the Zero Pointer’s arms. Clenching his fists, while yanking them downwards, caused another metallic grinding sound to reverberate through the area. Copious amounts of hydraulic fluid from broken lines that had been caught in the shifting metal, poured out of the joints of the Zero Pointer. The large arms went slack from the loss of pressure and hung limply by the gimmick’s sides. The red lights blinked a few more times before the large robot powered down.

-Staff Control Room-

“My, oh my, how ingenious.” Nezu laughed as he watched the green-haired examinee use tactics to quickly subdue the Zero Pointer and leave the large machine with no options for movement or attack.

“It’s going to take forever to move and repair that robot.” Power Loader complained as he watched the green-haired boy that had broken his machine.

-Exam Site B-

“Hmm, I’m still not a hundred percent sure what my point total is.” Izuku mused to himself. He didn’t even notice the large group of other examinees gaping at him and his take down of the Zero Pointer.

“Annnnd STOP!” Present Mic’s voice was heard throughout the testing grounds. “The exam is over!” Izuku exhaled as he relaxed his stance and started to stretch a bit. He was fairly certain he’d gotten enough points to pass the practical; even if he hadn’t actually been able to count them all. He started walking towards the entrance along with the rest of the examinees.

“I should call Kyo-chan, I bet she did awesome!” Izuku grinned at the thought of his girlfriend as he made his way out of the Exam Site and towards the bus that would take him back to the main campus. He’d call Hiryu as soon as he finished talking to Kyouka. He had to make sure his friend had passed too.

-One Week Later ~ Midoriya Home-

“Izuku! It’s here!” Inko called out as she rushed to her son’s room and handed him the letter that had come from UA.

“Thanks mom, I’m going to open it in my room.” Izuku said as he retreated into his room and sat at his desk. “Ok…you definitely passed Izuku. Kyo-chan, Hiryu and I, we all passed; this is totally my acceptance letter.” He breathed deeply to shake off his nerves before opening the letter. A small disc-shaped object fell out and started projecting an image.

“Hello, Midoriya Izuku, I’m Nezu the Principal of UA High School.” Nezu introduced himself. “I’m happy to inform you that you passed the Written Exam with a very respectable Ninety percent; as for your Practical Exam Score please look behind me.” The chimera pointed to an electronic board that turned on, showing Izuku’s picture and score.

-Practical Exam Score-

Izuku Midoriya

Villain Points: 84

Rescue Points: 60

Total: 144 Points

-Practical Exam Score-

“As you can see you performed very well! You have one of the highest scores on record, in fact, so you’ve more than qualified.” Nezu congratulated with a smile on his face. “I’m pleased to welcome you to UA High School, Midoriya-san! This will be your Hero Academia!”

“Yes! I did it!” Izuku cheered before he quickly grabbed his phone. “I’ve got to call Kyo-chan and Hiryu and make sure they passed too!” Standing just outside of Izuku’s door Inko smiled happily for her son. She was so happy that he’d be able to chase his dream of being a Hero. The fact that he got to do it with his friend and girlfriend only made happy tears come to her eyes. She should make Izuku’s favorite for dinner tonight to celebrate!

Well, Izuku’s quite the practiced Metal Bender! This is even before UA training! Having another childhood friend, one that’s much friendlier than a certain ash blonde, certainly helps! What will be 1-A’s reaction to Izuku’s Quirk? What about his relationship with Kyouka? We’ll see if this Bunny becomes a story too! More importantly, did you enjoy the Chapter? Do you want to see more?

Until I get your reviews, later!
