Chapter 46 – Secret Team Up Force, Synthesis Request

At U.A., in a secret meeting room that didn’t exist on any blueprint and had nothing electronic within other than the overhead lights, a group of Heroes from all over Japan as well as abroad were meeting. Several of the Top Ten Heroes of Japan were here. From outside of Japan there was Law and Zone who Nezu had brought in to assure the success of this three-pronged raid.

Zone, known to his family and friends as Adam Ward, was a fairly average-looking man. He stood just under six feet tall, had dark brown hair cut short, hazel eyes, and a slightly tanned complexion from doing Hero work outdoors most days. Like most Pro Heroes, he had a fit body to keep up with the daily rigors and physical demands of his job, and it showed through his Hero suit which was form-fitting and colored charcoal grey with brighter blue lines along the hems and length of the arms and legs and crossed over his chest to form an ‘X’.

“Thank you all for coming.” Nezu got the meeting started as he showed everyone the papers on their targets. “We have three locations to raid simultaneously, but to do so successfully will require preventing the League of Villains from using their Warping Quirks.” He looked at Law and Zone, bringing the eyes of the Japanese Heroes onto the two men. “For this task, I’ve secretly requested an international Team Up from both the British Ministry of Heroics and the United States Department of Hero Affairs.”

A few quick greetings were made, Zone taking a little longer as his Japanese was only around conversation level, while Law had a good grasp of the language.

“So as too facilitate proper teamwork, I’d like everyone to listen to a brief explanation of our international Heroes’ Quirks and how they’ll play into this mission.” Nezu said before yielding the floor to the two foreign Heroes.

Zone and Law glanced at each other and quickly decided on Law going first.

“My Quirk is called Room and creates a spherical space in which I’m fully aware of all topography and physical objects. Within the sphere I can freely switch the location of objects, regardless of their weight, so long as they’re not physically attached to the ground. I can also cut objects or people without causing them any damage.” Law explained while moving his sword slightly to show what he meant by cutting people. “Any parts that I separate are still tangentially connected to the original whole, but they simply can’t function due to being separated. I can reattach anything I cut as if it had never been separated, and so long as a person’s vital functions are not interfered with, they can survive in this state of separation for at least a day.” Left unsaid was that the doctor and Pro Hero had never tested his Quirk’s ability on a person until they expired to know the exact length of time they could survive while separated.

Gang Orca raised his hand slightly. “What’s the exact range of your Quirk?”

Law nodded at the question, noting that it was technically the most important after his brief explanation. “Room has a limit of roughly two kilometers in diameter at absolute range, though I can’t maintain it for very long at that size. Keeping it around five-hundred meters is the largest that I usually utilize for Hero work.”

That got some talking going between the gathered Heroes for a few moments before it settled down. All eyes then turned to Zone, making the American chuckle a bit at being the center of attention.

“My Quirk is Domain Rule and within a certain area I can enforce almost any ‘rule’ that I come up with.” Zone began with the most basic explanation of his Quirk. “I can limit or block Quirk use, set a ‘speed limit’ for anything within the domain, force those that’re within the domain to constantly move or be in motion in some way, stop sounds from being made by enforcing a ‘noise ordinance’, or I can limit the number of people in a specific area within the domain.” He saw the wide-eyed looks he was getting from the other Heroes and gave them a lopsided smile. It was the reaction he was used to when telling someone about his Quirk. “The range of the domain is about half a mile…uh…roughly a kilometer.” He did a rough conversion from imperial to metric in his head. “But at maximum range I can’t maintain it for more than a couple of minutes, and that’s with only one ‘rule’ in affect. Every rule that I add shrinks the overall range and shortens the time I can maintain the domain. The more complex the rules, the shorter the time limit and the range on top of that. Finally, I can’t change the rules on the fly. To change the rules I have to deactivate my Quirk and then reactivate it with the new rules in place.”

Once more there was some brief chatter between the Heroes in the room before Nezu quieted everyone down by asking Zone a question. “My plan is to use your Quirk to enforce three rules: no use of Warping Quirks, nothing can physically leave the domain, and no stealing Quirks.” That got a raised eyebrow from Zone, along with multiple other Heroes, but Nezu continued on. “If you enforced those three rules, what would we be looking at in terms of range and time limit?”

Zone ran through the three rules in his head. “Since you’re only adding the complexity of specifying Warping Quirks and the other two rules apply to everyone, then I should be able to maintain a domain of roughly six-hundred meters, maybe a little less, for about twelve minutes.”

“Can I ask a stupid question?” Mt. Lady raised her hand. Once Nezu gave her a nod she continued. “Why not just disallow the use of all Quirks? Wouldn’t that be less complex of a rule?”

“Believe me, I’d very much like to go that route, Mt. Lady.” Nezu nodded, admitting that it had been his original plan. “Unfortunately, these ‘Nomu’ bioweapons are surgically modified to have immense strength and durability without the use of their Quirks. To send Heroes and police against them without being able to use our own Quirks would assuredly lead to many casualties.”

Mt. Lady nodded in understanding. When laid out in such simple terms it painted a very grisly picture for all of the Heroes present.

“Hey, hey, Ryukyu… Did you know about these Heroes before?” Nejire asked her mentor curiously.

“I was vaguely aware of Law, but I didn’t know anything about Zone.” Ryukyu said with a small shake of her head. The world was a large place and there were well over a million Pro Heroes in some countries alone. For anyone to know them all would be nearly impossible.

With both Zone and Law’s Quirks explained to the other Pro Heroes, Nezu continued the meeting. “As you can see in the papers I’ve handed you, the three targets are marked and the targets of interest are on the second page.”

“We’re raiding Jaku Hospital?” Endeavor asked, looking at Nezu for an explanation.

“Our investigation started with the appearance of the first ‘Nomu’ at the USJ.” Nezu said to the Number Two Pro Hero. “We compiled a list of every doctor in the country that could possibly have the skill set required to create these bioweapons. After much investigation, acquisition of records, and observation, it became clear to us that one Dr. Garaki Kyudai was the only man that not only had all of the credentials, but had the access to hundreds, if not thousands, of records, genetic samples, bodies, and even living subjects.”

There was an audible sound of retching from among the Pro Heroes and it quickly became apparent why. “This guy runs orphanages?!” Mandalay barely kept her lunch down after reading down Dr. Garaki’s profile. “D-Don’t tell me he’s…he’s…” She couldn’t even bring herself to finish and her teammates were doing their best to offer her support, despite the fact that all three of them looked equally nauseated by what was implied in the investigation report.

Nezu nodded solemnly. “We highly suspect it.”

Every Pro Hero looked either sick to their stomach or enraged. Most notably those that were parents all looked furious at what Dr. Garaki had almost assuredly done to children that had ended up in his orphanages.

“I’ve assigned Law to lead the raid on Jaku Hospital.” Nezu informed the gathered Heroes. “His Quirk will allow us to safely evacuate the entire building in an instant without causing any harm to the patients. From there it’s only a matter of securing whatever lies beyond the hidden door on the third page of his profile.”

Many Heroes quickly turned to the page in question and saw a picture, obviously taken discretely judging by the angle and distance, of Dr. Garaki at the end of a hallway with a small little monstrosity of a Nomu at his feet. The wall at the end of the hallway was even opened, revealing that it was actually a hidden, reinforced steel door. More than a few of the Heroes also quietly noticed that the misshapen Nomu at Garaki’s feet was about the size of a human head, just with extra small limbs, about the size of a small child’s, added on.

“With my Quirk I’ll be able to know of every place within the hospital, even hidden ones. I’ll secure Garaki first and foremost, and then we’ll move onto any and all hidden areas.” Law’s tone was like steel and no one spoke against his plan. The man was clearly angry, though it was a cold anger, only reflected in the man’s sharp gaze.

When all of the gathered Heroes agreed, the meeting moved on.

“Next, I’ve asked Zone to set up his Quirk around the area where the tracker indicated the Nomu that attacked our Summer Training Camp is currently located.” Nezu flipped to the next page and the sound of various other pages flipping followed as the Pro Heroes kept up. “Based on covert investigations and examinations of business records and utility records, the warehouse that the signal is coming from has been vacated for almost seven years after the company went bankrupt dealing with a wrongful death lawsuit.” Nezu tapped the lower half of the paper. “However, as these Nomu are operating with multiple Quirks, we believe the mastermind is capable of taking and giving Quirks to the bioweapons and will most likely be near them to fulfill that role. That is the reason for the ‘no stealing Quirks’ rule being implemented.”

“Is that possible?” Kamui Woods questioned, never having heard of such a Quirk before.

“It is.” All Might was the one that answered as he clenched the papers in his hand. “This is the same Villain that put me in the hospital, near-death, five years ago.”

That got a reaction from all of the Japanese Heroes. Everyone recalled that All Might had been injured five years ago, but no one knew the specifics of it, nor the actual severity of said injuries. To hear that All Might, the Symbol of Peace, had been near-death…it was a sobering piece of news.

Zone decided to speak up, feeling the tension rising in the room. “As long as he’s within the area of my domain, he has to follow the rules that’re in place. There’s no Quirk that supersedes the authority of my Quirk once its active. It doesn’t matter if a person has super senses, psychic power, super strength, or is blind, deaf, or anything else. None of that affects the activation of my Quirk or the rules that it enforces. He can’t steal Quirks as long as he’s under the effects of my rules.”

“Reality-warping Quirks… I always thought they were just exaggerated stories, myself.” Best Jeanist said after taking a moment to compose himself. He combed his blonde hair once. “I’m much relieved to have you on our side, Zone.”

“I’ll do everything in my power to resolve this case.” Zone nodded to Best Jeanist, the two men forming the beginnings of comradery.

Nezu was glad to see trust already being put in Law and Zone from the Japanese Pro Heroes. “As for the third and final target, it’s a small bar in the Kamino Ward called ‘Sakegiri’. We’ve tracked down leads that have confirmed people fitting the descriptions of Shigaraki Tomura, Twice, and Dabi have all been spotted entering the building over the last couple of days. The police have worked around the clock to stakeout and investigate all three locations without drawing attention, so we need to succeed to ensure that their efforts were not in vain.”

“Who, exactly, is going to prevent Warping Quirks from being use at this bar if Zone is at the warehouse?” Edgeshot asked as he looked at the picture of the bar and the blueprints of the building that the police had secured from the government. The ninja was already plotting out multiple ways to slip inside without being noticed.

Nezu let out a small sigh. “As much as I do not wish to, since this is the most likely location of the Warp Gate user, I may have to enlist the help of one of my students.”

All Might straightened up. “Young Midoriya…”

“Indeed.” Nezu nodded once to All Might. “As he copied Warp Gate from the same user, it has proven effective in blocking the Villain Kurogiri’s own Warp Gate from working. That was how Midoriya stopped the League of Villains from retrieving all of their personnel at the Summer Training Camp.”

Ragdoll had to speak up at that. “But the backlash from doing that nearly knocked Midoriya unconscious! He was bleeding from the nose, ears, and eyes!”

“Only the fact that he has a Healing Quirk kept him on his feet at all!” Pixie-bob agreed, recalling just how Izuku had looked after the attack.

“To stake the potential success of this raid on a First Year student is a bit too much, don’t you think?” Tiger, for all that he was a hard ass during training, was absolutely against putting so much responsibility on a single teenager’s shoulders.

Nezu honestly agreed with them all, but the situation required that they use every asset they had to make sure this three-pronged raid succeeded. “I’m aware, and I wish there was a better option. But we have their locations and not much time left to be sure of them. If we delay any further, then the League of Villains may go to ground and be lost until they strike again.”

“He’s right.” Endeavor said as he looked over the last of the papers. “I took on Synthesis as an intern before. He’s still inexperienced, but he’s got the right mindset for a Hero. He’ll succeed when given a task like this.”

That nearly stunned the rest of the gathered Heroes, aside from Law and Zone, to hear Endeavor actually give support to someone, especially a student. The Number Two Hero was known to be a cold and focused man dedicated to his work above all else. Endeavor wasn’t the kind of person that gave praise or recommendation lightly.

“I do have a question, though it’s not directly related to the mission.” Mirko, the Rabbit Hero, currently ranked Number 6 in Japan, raised the papers in her hand slightly. “Why’re we having this meeting without any technology?”

A few other Heroes murmured about that as well, having wondered why the only electrical device in the room was the ceiling lights. They’d had to leave all of their electronic equipment, including their personal cellphones, near the front of U.A. in a secured lock box.

“That is due to my own caution to prevent any information leaks.” Nezu answered easily. “In the course of my own investigation into how the League of Villains was able to find out the secret location of our Summer Training Camp for the First Years, I looked into every avenue of hacking possible and discovered a brief, seemingly insignificant, trip of U.A.’s cyber security. Not being able to trace it, I looked at it from the angle of the suspected mastermind and the multitudes of Quirks that he could potentially have, which led me to searching for Technopathy Quirks.”

“So, you found out the Villain’s a technopath?” Mirko reasoned from Nezu’s words.

Nezu shook his head once. “Not with absolute certainty, no. I did however find a report of a known Technopath Quirk user that went missing roughly a year ago in Shizuoka. The case is cold with no leads of any kind, which makes it all the more suspicious.”

Mirko looked down at the papers again. “So, where am I most likely to get to fight some of these Nomu monsters, exactly?” She asked with a wide grin. After having heard about them, she’d wanted to fight them, but they only appeared when the League of Villains was involved. The whole reason that she’d agreed to this Team Up, since she hated teaming up with others, was because Nezu had told her it involved the League of Villains.

“This meeting is to determine how best to divide our forces, so we’ll put everyone that’s agreed to join this Team Up where they’ll be most useful.” Nezu said calmly and with a tone that indicated his hyper-intelligent mind was already putting together said optimal teams.

Every single Hero there felt like the Villains should feel the walls closing in on them at this very moment, just based on Nezu’s words and poise. The principal’s animal eyes gave away nothing to the countless thoughts, calculations, and plans undoubtedly going through the High Specs user’s mind.

So many people seemed to forget that Nezu’s Quirk was defined as making him smarter than humans.

-U.A. Recovery Girl’s Office-

“My, my, how helpful.” Recovery Girl smiled as she watched four Izukus take care of some minor injuries from the Second Year Hero Course classes. Class 2-A and Class 2-B had joint training today and the matchups had led to a few bruises, cuts, and a couple of small burns.

“How do you feel?” Izuku asked the student he was healing, a girl with a dog-like jaw and soft features that made her rather cute. If she’d also had fluffy dog ears then Izuku wouldn’t have batted an eye given her obvious Quirk.

“Much better.” She gave him a smile and rolled her shoulder. “No pain anymore.”

Izuku smiled upon hearing that. “Great! Just have Recovery Girl give you a quick examinations and you can go.”

The girl nodded and stood up, putting her uniform jacket back on. “Will do, kouhai.” She playfully teased her junior before heading over to Recovery Girl.

“The burns are healed now.” A different Izuku nodded to the boy with the spiky, black hair.

The older boy looked over his left arm and flexed his fingers a bit. “Wow, it’s like it never happened.” He smiled at Izuku. “Thanks, first year.”

“It’s what I’m here to learn.” Izuku said with a small chuckle.

After the last of the students from 2-A and 2-B had been taken care of, Izuku (all four of him) started cleaning the nurse’s office.

Recovery Girl smiled at her student as she watched him clean. “You’ve come a long way already, Midoriya. Your use of your Healing Quirk has improved and you can take care of most of the injuries that come through the door nowadays without my help. I’m very proud of you and how well you’ve taken to my lessons.”

“Thank you very much, Recovery Girl.” All four Izukus said at the same time, bowing in almost perfect sync to the elderly Hero. It meant a lot to hear that Recovery Girl was proud of him. The woman almost singlehandedly kept U.A. from incurring any serious injuries among their students for decades now. To know that she thought highly of his slowly growing healing skills was high praise, to say the least.

Knock Knock Knock

The door to the nurse’s office slid open.

“Izukun, are you ready to get some lunch?” Camie asked with her normal exuberance.

Momo looked between Camie and Recovery Girl. “Camie, I think you should be a little quieter.”

“We saw some of the Class 2-A and 2-B students on our way here. It looks like you’ve been busy, kero.” Tsuyu smiled at her boyfriend, knowing how much being able to help people with their injuries meant to him.

“Go on, Midoriya. You little Casanova.” Recovery Girl laughed a little. Her laughter only increased when she saw how Izuku’s face turned slightly pink and he fidgeted a little.

Each of the four Izukus gently took one of the girls’ hands in theirs and interlaced their fingers.

“Izukun.” Ochako had a bright smile on her face as she walked hand-in-hand with her boyfriend. “I’m really liking this new Quirk.” She admitted with her rosy cheeks getting a bit redder.

“It’s very useful…in multiple ways.” Momo agreed, she was nearly sparkling with contentment as they walked down the hall together. Double let Izuku dote on the four of them as much as he’d always wanted to, but was physically unable, since they’d started their relationship.

Camie was leaning slightly against Izuku as they walked, a warm smile on her lips. “Mhmm… An Izuku to spoil each of us is perfect.” Flirty and teasing she may be, but Camie adored the simple affections that she and Izuku shared quite a lot.

“It’s nice to be able to always walk together like this.” Tsuyu said with a smile of her own. “Hoperfully we’ll be able to plan another date soon.”

Izuku (all four of him) felt his heart nearly bursting with love for these amazing, wonderful, beautiful girls. “We should definitely do that.” He and his copies gently squeezed the girls’ hands. “I did only meet both of Tsuyu’s parents so far.” He stopped and each of the Izuku’s looked into the eyes of his girlfriends. “I want to meet all of your parents. I’d love to get their approval for our relationship.”

Ochako felt her heart thump in her chest.

Momo beamed at Izuku wanting to meet her father after meeting her mother already.

Tsuyu pulled Izuku into a soft hug which he returned with a warm hug of his own.

Camie gently pulled Izuku to her lips, kissing him softly for a moment.

“I-I’d like that too…Izukun.” Ochako admitted with an adorable look on her face as she swayed slightly from side to side, almost giddy from the idea of Izuku wanting to take such a step in their relationship.

“You won my dad over.” Tsuyu smiled at Izuku. “But I need to meet your parents too.”

Momo looked positively radiant as she started to bounce slightly in place. “I know that father will approve of our relationship, Izukun! I’d love to meet your parents as well!” It was only proper, of course, but getting approval from all four of their parents meant that Izuku was thinking more long term about their relationship. Knowing that made Momo’s heart soar.

“You know how to make us swoon, don’t you, Izukun?” Camie smiled at Izuku, lightly playing with his red uniform tie. “My dad’s a police officer, you know? You sure that you’re up for it?” She asked both serious and yet still with a light tone that hinted at her playfully teasing him.

Izuku took her hands in his, his emerald eyes showing an unyielding will in them. “Absolutely, Camie. Police officer, salaryman, construction worker, company president; I want to meet them all and show them how much you each mean to me.”

All four girls felt their hearts beat strongly as warmth filled them, butterflies seemed to take flight in their stomachs as well. Before any of them realized it, they were kissing their boyfriend.

“Never letting you go.” Camie said with finality when she eventually pulled back from their kiss. Her eyes were clear and resolved to make that happen as she looked into Izuku’s emerald green.

“Never ever.” Tsuyu smiled at Izuku, a cute little ‘kero’ showed how happy she was.

Ochako nearly buried her face into Izuku’s chest. “Love you.” Her muffled words were still clear enough for everyone to hear.

Momo took Izuku’s hand with a warm and loving smile. “Always.”

The group continued on their way to lunch happily. Those that passed them in the hall would swear that there was an almost visible wave of happiness and contentment coming from the four girls and one guy (that was multiplied four times over).

When the group arrived at lunch, the copies dispersed and Izuku cleaned up the residue with his new Water Gun Quirk that he’d copied form Kota. The fine control necessary to push the mud-like residue into the nearest drain…without splashing it everywhere…was good practice to control the Quirk.

They five of them got their food and headed over to one of the tables where a few of their classmates were sitting.

“Oh damn, I think I just got a cavity.” Jiro said with a little grin as she saw how happy their class’s ‘polycule’ was. The love and happiness the five brought to each other was plain as day for anyone to see…and it was so sweet that Jiro couldn’t help but make the joke.

“Sorry, Jiro-chan~” Camie gave a bright smile to her friend. “Izuku just made us very happy.”

“Uh huh.” Ochako said with a cute little sigh before realizing that everyone at the table was looking at her. She quickly picked up her bowl of rice and started eating, trying to hide behind her food.

Mina leaned over with a little smirk on her lips. “Maybe Jiro wants to join the polycule?”

“Pfft!” Jiro nearly choked on her drink at the insinuation. “M-Mina!” She wiped her mouth and chin from her lost drink. Her cheeks were burning red at the thought of trying to join the five-way relationship.

“We’re happy with how we are right now.” Tsuyu said simply before taking a bite of her food.

Jiro looked at Tsuyu. “Don’t believe her! I didn’t…don’t…” She stumbled over her words.

“I don’t know…” Camie was in full tease mode. Even playfully looking Jiro up and down as much as she was able to with all of them sitting at the table. “Maybe we could try~?”

“PFFFTTT!!!” Jiro literally spat her drink this time, having tried to clear her throat from stumbling over her words.

“Hey!” Kaminari complained as he was hit by the spray.

Momo created a small paper roll and lightly swatted Camie with it. “That’s not nice, Camie. You should apologize.”

Camie pouted playfully for a second before turning to Jiro. “Sorry about that, Jiro-chan. I took it a bit too far. My bad!” She apologized, making sure to show her sincerity by giving Jiro a small bow (the best she could do while sitting at the table).

“It’s fine.” Jiro accepted the apology, once more wiping off her mouth and chin. “Sorry about giving you the spit take, Kaminari.”

Kaminari waved it off. “I’m fine. It was no big deal.” He accepted her apology easily.

“So… What do you think they’ll have us doing for Heroics this afternoon?” Ochako asked to try and move the conversation along and put any awkwardness behind them all.

-Heroics Class-

“Is there any way to access the stored information in Search and change the one-hundred people in the active memory?” Izuku asked Ragdoll over the phone. He was still nowhere near as good with Search as Ragdoll was, so he was calling her for advice on how best to use the Quirk.

Since they were working on Quirk applications today for Foundational Heroics class, all of them were finding new ways to use their Quirks in various scenarios that they might have to deal with as Pros. But as there were only so many teachers, they were going in groups. Izuku had been allowed to make a phone call in relation to one of his newly acquired Quirks, since it could only help him in his classes.

“That comes with practice, Midoriya.” Ragdoll replied with a small giggle, her usual catty nature clear even over the phone. “It took me a few months of practice to be able to use the stored information to change the one-hundred ‘active targets’ while using Search. It’s something you get a feel for the more you use the Quirk. Until then, the one-hundred in the ‘active memory’ will change every time you look at a new person.”

Izuku let out a small sigh. “I see. There’s nothing for it but to practice then.”

“That’s right. But you’re not going to let that stop you, are you little kitten?” Ragdoll laughed, knowing that Izuku wasn’t that type of person at all.

“Nope.” Izuku smiled at the encouragement he was being given by Ragdoll. It wasn’t quite direct, but the way the Pro Hero said it made her belief in him clear. “I’ll keep practicing until I can freely change the ‘active targets’ at will!”

Ragdoll cheered over the phone. “That’s the spirit, Midori-kitten! Keep practicing! Once you get a bit better, we can have a competition to see who can find more people!”

Izuku deadpanned, even if Ragdoll couldn’t see it. “I’m one-hundred percent certain that you’d win, Miss Ragdoll…”

“Nyahahaha…maybe!” Ragdoll laughed at Izuku’s tone. “Just remember, if you ever need any advice or help with our Quirks, you just have to call!”

“Thank you, Miss Ragdoll. I’ll do that.” Izuku said with a smile. “Say hello to Kota and the others for me.”

“Will do!” Ragdoll agreed to the request easily before she hung up.

Izuku put his phone away and blinked when he realized that it was his group’s turn.

“We should hurry, Midoriya.” Iida urged his friend along. “There is only so much time in the day for class, We shouldn’t miss a second of it!”

“I’ll be right there!” Izuku quickly jogged after his friend.

-After School ~ Nezu’s Office-

“Mom? Dad?” Izuku stopped in his tracks at seeing his parents in the principal’s office. “What’re you doing here?” He’d been called over the PA System just as classes had ended for the day.

“You principal asked us to meet him today.” Hisashi said and motioned Izuku to come sit beside them.

Inko, concerned that something had happened, looked at Nezu worriedly. “Is something wrong? Did something happen to our Izuku?”

“I assure you nothing of the sort has occurred, Midoriya-san.” Nezu smiled at the mother of one of U.A.’s most promising students. “This meeting was called to speak with your family, as a whole, about a part in a mission that will soon occur. One that I’d rather not involve your son in, but that he is clearly the best choice for.”

Hisashi looked at Nezu suspiciously. “You want our son to be on the frontlines of a Hero operation? With all due respect, Principal Nezu, Izuku is only a First Year.”

Inko had her hands over her mouth as he husband got right to the heart of the matter. The thought of her Izuku put in danger again so soon nearly tore her heart in two.

Izuku blinked in surprise that Nezu would want to involve him in anything like this, especially so soon after the attack on the Summer Training Camp.

“As I said, if there were better options available, I would’ve taken them already. But this meeting is to make my suggestion and hear your reply.” Nezu said to both parents.

“We’ll hear you out, Principal.” Hisashi agreed to that much. “But we’re not of the mind to endanger our son.”

“That’s all I can ask for.” Nezu thanked them for even considering it. “This mission will be taking place soon. As it involves the one that young Izuku copied his Warp Gate from, and since it has been proven effective in stopping the original user from being able to use the Quirk successfully, we’d like Izuku to help us prevent said Quirk from being used during this operation.”

Inko’s eyes were becoming watery. “But that means you want Izuku to face those League of Villains people again.”

Nezu pushed a box of tissues to Inko. “I do not intend to have young Izuku fight in the slightest. His assistance will be entirely focused on suppressing the villains’ ability to use Warp Gate. His safety will be of the utmost importance and I have already worked his protection by both Pro Heroes and the police into my plan for this mission. He will be kept as far away from the villains as possible within the effective range of his Quirk to stop the villains from escaping.”

“But no one can guarantee that something won’t go wrong.” Hisashi said plainly to Nezu. “If something were to happen to Izuku, how could we possibly be okay with that?”

“It is true that no plan survives contact with the enemy, but young Izuku’s safety is my primary concern if he joins this operation.” Nezu said in his most reassuring tone. “For only the duration of this mission, Izuku would be given temporary Provisional Hero License status, under my authority and responsibility as he is a student of U.A., which would let him legally use his Quirks in the field. Once the Warp Gate user is subdued and detained, Izuku will be taken further from the front and kept safe until the end of the operation. After which, I would agree to his use of Warp Gate to return home instantly, using the temporary License as a loophole to get around any legal issues there could be.”

Izuku saw his parents looking at each other, having a silent conversation that only couples that had been together for years and years could have. “I’d like to help, if possible.”

“Izuku…” Hisashi looked at his son so quickly it was surprising the man didn’t suffer whiplash. “We know you’re strong, son. We’ve seen how much you’ve improved with your Quirk since coming to U.A. too. But we don’t want you fighting Villains when you’re supposed to still be a student.”

“Honey, we’ve already had so many incidents and close-calls this year…” Inko was sniffling now as she tried to stem her small tears. “The USJ, the incident in Hosu, the Summer Camp…”

Izuku moved over to hug his mom, holding her tightly to comfort her. “I know, mom. But if I can help put an end to this, so we don’t have to worry about being attacked again, I want to help.”

Inko hugged Izuku back, knowing he’d want to help stop the Villains that had attacked his class multiple times. That was just how her Izuku was and always had been. He had the heart of a Hero.

Hisashi placed his hand on Izuku’s shoulder. “Are you sure, Izuku? No one would be able to fault you for not doing this. You’re still a student and you’ve already been attacked multiple times.” His concern for his son was palpable as the too looked into each other’s eyes.

“I want this to stop, dad. That’s why I think I should do this.” Izuku said with a determination that Hisashi had seen in him since he’d first talked about becoming a Hero.

Hisashi closed his eyes, having already known what his son was going to say the whole time. “Promise us that you’ll take care of yourself, even if you have to run away.”

Izuku gave his parents a lopsided smile. “I can’t just leave people behind if I can help them. That’s not what a Hero would do.” He saw his mother about to cry harder and continued. “So, if I have to run away, I’ll probably be bringing quite a few people home with me.”

Inko’s tears became mixed with ones from joy, she knew Izuku would do exactly what he said if the situation called for it. “I’ll have to make a lot of tea and snacks if that happens.” She wiped her eyes and hugged her son tightly.

Nezu let the family talk it out amongst themselves. He’d already said everything he could and laid out the situation that they faced and that their son would face if he joined them. But it looked as if young Izuku would be helping out on this operation to raid and capture the League of Villains.

“Principal Nezu, I’ll be in your care, sir.” Izuku said with unshakeable resolve in his green eyes.

“Thank you for this, Midoriya family.” Nezu gave them a bow of thanks and gratitude. “I will do everything in my power to ensure that this operation goes smoothly and your son makes it home safely.” He straightened up and looked at Izuku, not as a student, but as a fellow Hero. “Synthesis, we’ll be departing shortly, your costume will be retrieved and brought to you soon. Please leave your cellphone with your parents, no communication devices will be brought from among U.A.’s staff or from you as a student as a precaution.” He flipped the monitor of his computer around to show that it was turned off, going further he reached down and pulled up various cords held together with a zip tie, showing that every electronic device in his office had been unplugged the entire time for the off chance that anything was being used to try and listen in on this meeting.

“Yes, sir.” Izuku quickly removed his phone and handed it to his dad.

Neither Inko nor Hisashi could be prouder of their son for fulfilling his dream of being a Hero. But as all parents did, they also worried for him and were already silently praying for his safe return, even before they parted ways.

The Collector Hero: Synthesis was about to go on his first mission as an official Hero.

Oh damn! Izuku…Synthesis is about to join the raid on the League of Villains!

Thankfully, all he has to do is stop Kurogiri’s Warp Gate with his own. That shouldn’t be too hard.

We also got some warm and fluffy with Izuku and his girlfriends! Inject the feel good times straight into your veins, my friends!

With everything that Nezu has prepared in secret, including both Law and Zone, I don’t think this raid will go nearly as badly as Canon.

Speaking of, what did you all think of Zone’s Quirk?

Since Star and Stripe was a Reality-warper, I figured it would be kind of fitting (and funny) if one of the bigger Heroes on the opposite coast of the U.S. was ALSO a Reality-warper! Kek!

Domain Rule is a bit more limited than New Order, with a different method of operation, but it’s also ridiculously versatile in its own way!

AFO is used to playing chess with only All Might and Gran Torino…neither of them are stupid, but AFO clearly outclasses them. Nezu however has now stacked the game against AFO by implementing new restrictions on the moves that the ‘Demon King’ can play!

Time to watch a Hyper-intelligent Rat/Bear/Dog/Stoat bully an old man! Cackles

Will anything be left of the League of Villains after this raid?

Keep reading to find out!

Until I get your reviews, later!

Kai looks like ff/fanfiction is down again. I swear it gets more and more unstable every time.

I'd have to disagree with you a little bit. While obviously not stupid All Might isn't exactly very bright either. I mean seriously his advice to Izuku on how to use OFA was "clench your cheeks and yell in your heart SMASH" and not only that but he didn't warn Izuku about regulating the power or give him time to practice with the quirk just expecting him to know what to do even though he's never had a quirk before lol. Then there's his whole combat training where he had to use flash cards to remember his scenario lol. He's a great fighter but when it comes to just about anything else he's not all that smart kinda like Luffy lol
