According to Lee Cronin, the Natorum Demento in this film is one of three copies of the Necronimicon; one copy was behind the original trilogy and Ash vs. Evil Dead, one was found in the Allen cabin in Evil Dead (2013), and the one in this film. This was based on the scene in Army of Darkness where Ash has to find the real copy among 3 books, which itself is probably Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Jones has to pick the Holy Grail out of a sea of cups and chalices.

I'm surprised that you haven't seen the entire trilogy, I could've sworn you said you did when you were reacting to Evil Dead (2013), but your memory was a little fuzzy (is that the right word?) so maybe you did and just can't remember. You should consider reacting to the original trilogy (The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Amry of Darkness) as well as the TV series Ash vs the Evil Dead.
