This has been a wild ride and this episode was no exception.  Only downside was no surprise famous actors.

Shame about the audio of this episode. I dunno what happened to John Reece Davies! Caligula killed Macro (on the "if he can kill one emperor, he can kill me too" grounds you mentioned last episode - he also betrayed his commanding officer played by Patrick Stewart so he's a double traitor!). I thought it was shown here too but TVTropes tells me it, he does just abruptly goes away after episode 8 Pissing off your own bodyguards is a bad idea

I think caligula only didn't want a son (for fear it'd overthrow him) but he's ok with the new kid because it's a daughter... then again he had no clue what sex the other kid would be so that doesn't really work, him being nuts must be the explanation xD
