I dont think you have much to worry about not liking the second series. Its basically the same thing but with older characters and I'm sure as a writer you can make some assumptions on what that means for the tone of the story.

Also when it comes to spoilers and you thinking they wouldnt make the show worse, I agree for some arcs it wouldnt make a difference but remember that most of og Naruto is just settup for the second part of the series. A lot of the plot has not been unraveled yet and has been teased for a while. Naruto is basically introduction to the world, magic and the characters even though it had some fantastic arcs to accomplish it.
