The problem with this show is that it is intended to mask adult themes through the lens of a very boyish character. There's an asymmetry in this that is meant for televised anime. As in , this show is not produced as a proper serialized anime but a true televised one. Its for the episodic, sporadic watch of seeing a comedically boyish protagonist humorously and (unrealistically) navigate some fabricated episodic real-world-ish problem. Its a very nuanced thing that caters to a certain kind of Japanese male worker escapism. No true story in here since its such a targeted show
