This is another Paul request, and its fantastic.

As hilarious as the dub is, the manga this is based on was really influential on later manga&anime; you can trace ideas from shows like Attack on Titan to it (possibly because it is >50 years old). The manga isn't that long so this is a (surprisingly accurate) rendition of the first 1/4 or 1/5 of the manga. The anime you found when looking for this is probably the recent 12 episode anime that covered the whole manga. One thing they did change from the manga is that Akira is too much of a wuss to fight the bullies at the start and his gf is the one to fight them; it's kinda sad she's turned into a genetic damsel when she was quite the badass in the manga. The bullies being somewhat honorable is setup for them turning 'good' later on, but that doesn't get covered by the 80s anime so it's setup that goes nowhere (you definitely wouldn't see people who torture animals for fun turn good in western media, different moral standards i suppose - then again, the animal torture wasn't in the manga, they just called Akira names) I wonder how much of the "no adult supervision in schools" you see in anime is present in real Japan? I see bullies killing the school rabbits in a surprising number of anime, unsure if it's just a trope or a thing that happens IRL. Sadly the really long time it takes for Akira to recognize Ryu is just due to the anime being strange xD You've seen enough anime to know there's no telling how old a character is supposed to be from how they look ;P In the manga there's a line about Ryu not being old enough to drive but not giving an F, i forgot they cut that, but he is supposed to be the same age as Akira. Shockingly given the ending Ryu ISN'T dead, he just got a little injured. He's totally fine except he has a bandage in the next chapter of the manga. I guess they just implied he's dead to make a dramatic ending Shocked the file for this was 3.5 gb. Have you thought of pre-processing the files in windows media player? When I screen record things, the raw file is always really huge like that, then i run it through WMP and it spits out a file a few 100 MB in size. Might help you keep the stuff on your HDD smaller?

Interesting comments. As far as the file size goes, I've tried a few things to reduce the screen recordings but a lot of times that either messes with the lip sync or it my editor can't read the file at all. If i had more time I'd experiment with it more but right now I'm wall to wall.
