I knew Thors was going to die from the first moment Floki told Askeladd to kill him, and I really felt for his death because I really liked him, and felt for Thorfinn as well. I’m sure you’ve realized having seen at least up to episode 10, but Thorkell is the other guy we saw back in episode 1 fighting with Thors, and he’s a totally different animal lol

I think Floki wasn't told what Thors would do, he just reasoned that he'd probably stop off at the Faroe islands, because it's the first place (and one of the only places) to stop for supplies if you're coming to any destination in Europe from Iceland, and people usually stop for supplies on a voyage.
