hmm i took it always as not moving stolen goods in the light of a full moon not superstition, and he faked the death by shooting and knocking him out with sheep brain loaded in the gun if you didnt catch it in editing.

It’s kind of funny to me (though not really unexpected since I don’t watch a lot of things that aren’t animated) that the one name in the credits you didn’t recognize was the only one I recognized when first watching this episode- Helen Mcrory was Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter films- and it’s hard to pick up on first watch as well, but they were referring to her character as “Aunt Polly,” so she is related to the family, unless we assume that’s just a way they refer to her and not a literal relative (though I think it’s not really a spoiler to go ahead and say that she is literally related). I tend to watch new shows with subtitles on, even if they’re speaking English, just to make sure I’m not misunderstanding or misinterpreting dialogue, plus I think it helps me personally to remember names when I see them spelled out on screen. It definitely helps me with this show because of the thick accents, plus given that it’s taking place roughly 100 years ago, and in England, so I may not be as familiar with some of the expressions used.

Yeah because of my hearing issues I always have captions on. Unfortunately, now that I can no longer screen record from traditional streaming services I can't always get captions anymore. That makes my reactions harder because I can read and talk but I can't talk and listen. So I've been missing more stuff lately.
